Why is she so against it? |

Having Katara die would be meaner. XP |
And really useless.

Did anyone else think when Aang was taking Firelord *cough* I mean Phoenix King Ozai bending that Aang was sacrificing his life. |

One of the best moments of the show. Lmao. |

Yeah, but I liked how in some of the final episodes her character began to devolve. That was pretty clever. It would have been really good writing if they had kept her kinda evil and anti-vigilant like.

lol. "What is thy bidding my master?" XD

Actually, I was expected Aang to get engulfed in the orange stuff and then be like, "PHOENIX KING OZAI, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO DO, MASTER?!" I seriously expected him to. And then some evil laugh. -.- |

I think they ran out of places for his character to go. They already had a bunch of bad people turn good. Another one would have been over-kill.

was good; Katara was terrifically scary...but it was really just an incidental thing...there's this big depressing thing where she's forced to learn this horrible form of waterbending and cries because it's just so vile...and all she does is bully a Fire Nation captain with it? This feels more like the mid-pointof a character arc re: bloodbending. |
Responding to myself?
The only problem with the bloodbending thing is that it's rather dark; it's a story of corruption. This would actually be pretty interesting to inflict on Katara, who started life as a goody two-shoes, but could they get away with it on a kids' show?

What about the death of Jet?? He could have been an awesome ally with his army of kiddies and weapons, and stuff. |
DarkJediJCer wrote: |
Meh, Jet wasn't all that important. And I guess since Zuko didn't get to do the tragic hero thing, he had to take the fall. XP |
If zuko took the fall i would have died of somesort of cliche writing related disease and went on an angry rampage lol.

Omg, my life would be so complete if Katara had stayed in her little devolved state, and became this dark character. It would have been such good writing. On a kids show though, psh the writers would get slaughtered i'm sure.
