I was never a katara/Aang fan because it's just weird, and that would make Katara a HUGE cougar lol, (obvi I'm a katara/zuko fan) but regardless, THERE WAS NO DEPTH TO ALL 3 of THOSE LOVE STOREIS! And I know there was "conflict" between Katara and Aang, which was not really just natural indescisiveness, and I know you gotta keep it G for the kids (psh), but still.

    Uh...
    I believe it's Aang: 12
    Katara: 14
    Zuko: 17

Age difference is greater between Zuko and Katara...
...but you're just saying that because he's 12. Just wait a few years or something. XP

Aang is actually 13 at the end of the show. and katara is 15

Lmao. The most major foreshadowing I've ever seen in my life. They've got more in there. They have the serpent from Serpent's Pass as well. It's a chill pilot.

haha thats good. Me friends and I were hoping Aang would kill Ozai. When he did the whole "soul bending" thing we were sad. Me: Wtf? I'd go over there and punch Ozai.

AHAHAHHAHAA. That would be quite epic, Aang sacrificing his life to restore balance. But that would mean taking out Ozai as well, which is impossible. To Aang, at least. I'd love to see Sokka have a whack at him.

That is quite true. Only once in a while have I seen Kataang develop and it was more of Katara- likes Aang/ Aang- loves Katara, which made me feel bad for lil' baldy. I don't get how Katara could possibly like Zuko when she only just started to trust him. I know he's hot to everyone probably including Katara, but there's not even a one-sided love there(sorry and bless all Zutara fans). I feel Aang wasn't in love with Katara, more like he was in love with her looks and her strength sometimes, but Aang should have been looking harder for a lover.

Lord i can actually relate something real life to that. My best friend is dating a guy who is younger and he is like infatuated with her, and just like kinda likes him. O.k. My zutara defense. Let me start off by saying i'm not some sort of crazy fanfiction fan person thing. I'm a writer. And from a writer's stand point, Katara's character shouldn't have been what it was. ITS A KIDS SHOW I KNOW. But she has been betrayed all her life, she was family-less, improsined, almost killed, starving, and exposed to alot of death and war at all a very young. During that one episode when she went to go get her revenge against the man who killed her mother, her character go dark and devolved and it should have stayed dark! The pressure of being mature and maternal-like all the time should have broken her down, which meant it would make sense for her to reach out to someone she can't trust as sort of a lust/desperation thing.

I think it was the avatarportal.org

Anyway, the series ended great. The majority of loose ends (major ones) were tied, and the small ones leave possible openings to future 'made for TV movies'. Let's face it: If it was on a different network it would've been different: darker, mature, 'you name it'. But there still is lots of potential.

But I'm glad the way it ended, no misunderstandings, no confusion. I think NICK cut their losses before the show got too far out of control. I think the term 'jump the shark' describes my point.

We all enjoyed a show that was by far the best animated show on NICK- Let's appreciate the qualities (please add more if you wish)
    -good story
    -good amount of episodes
    -Good Character development
    -Great art, drawings, animation etc
    -Great voice acting
-Good conclusion. If you're a collector (of any age) its worth buying. I think everyone involved in the production of this show deserves a big THANK YOU. So...THANK YOU AVATAR....I enjoyed the ride.

No, there wasn't. That was an excerpt from the actual series. Only the beginning of the pilot and a scene in The Library contained images of the lion-turtle.

Alright...I dont know if anyone else noticed this but the music that was playing during the scene where Zuko was speaking with his father about his mother sounded like it was leading up to something..like it was building up...Now I know it could have just been there to build up to the question "where is my mother" but it could also mean that this isn't the complete end of avatar! I hope this makes sense??? Just listen to that part and you will actually hear the drums getting louder and it reminded me of something from a battle scene where the warriors are preparing to fight --> as in, if we follow the music, it builds and crescendoes but just suddenly cuts off as it ges to the final scene of the finale. Man I don't know if this made any sense whatsoever but I'm posting it anyway...

Mostly agreed. Except for the fact that ending was completly cliche and they took the easy way out.

It couldn't have been. They might've gotten the idea from the pilot, but in The Library there was also a picture of a large lion-turtle that we witnessed when Sokka was looking through the scrolls. Bryke has always consoled us with the fact that the whole entire series was planned out before it even aired.
