**Walks out from under a rock** How'd I not notice this thread before...Anyway, I was on some other thread and they told me to come here...Looks like I missed a lot....

Oh yeah, I was on that thread.
Anyone want to help me catch up so I don't have to read 600-plus pages of posts?? **Holds out box of cookies cookies** Pleeeeeeeeeease?!

Ok I will do my best to help you out here.??
Here is the gist of things:
We decided to do a first movie on the past because the third season has yet to come out.?? So we have no idea what the writers of the show are going to do with the characters.?? However we do know some of the elements of the past that occurred before first epsiode of season 1.?? So our storyline for now is going to cover Aang's past up to when he meets Katara and Sokka.?? You can read the writing challenge that I have posted on page 13 of this thread.?? That will provide you an idea of what we are doing right now.?? Basically I want to gather many writers and I am going to pick the top 5 samples.?? I will then post a new thread with the top 5 and a poll to get everyone to vote for who they think is best.?? The top three will be the winners.?? From there we will start working out the whole storyline.?? I am going to see about getting some sound bits of the voices from the show.?? Then I will see if I can piece together the dialogue.?? Finally we will see about the animation.?? Once this is all done we can submit it to the show and Nick and see what happens.?? Heck this is all about fun anyways.
M'kay, thanks. I'll go check it out.

Aang and Gyatso are meditating in a field near the Southern Air Temple. The sky is blue and the air is peaceful; the perfect conditions for meditation. We can see the eleven year old Aang fidgeting, apparently bored. After a moment he relaxes his position, stretching his legs out and turns to Gyatso.

Aang: Monk Gyatso, I have a question.

Gyatso does not move or open his eyes.

Gyatso: It seems you have not quite grasped the concept of meditation yet, young one. (whispering) We must be quiet.

    Aang: Sorry.

Aang resumes his meditation position, but after a minute stops again and turns to Gyatso.

Aang: But it???s a really good question.

Gyatso sighs and opens his eyes, also stretching out.

Gyatso: Okay then Aang, you may ask. (Gyatso smiles slightly) I suppose inner peace and tranquillity can wait.

Suddenly Aang seems unsure and embarrassed, beginning to absent-mindedly picks at the grass.

    Aang: It???s just???lately, I???ve been wondering???well, about my parents.

Gyatso???s face falls at Aang???s statement. Noticing this, Aang hurriedly speaks.

Aang: I???m sorry. I shouldn???t have brought it up. It was dumb.

Gyatso sighs again and shakes his head sadly.

Gyatso: No, you have every right to ask. What do you want to know?

Aang (eagerly): Anything. Everything. Did you ever meet them?

Gyatso: Yes, a very long time ago. You were two years old, and already showing promise of a great Airbender. Your parents were good people. They wanted the best for you, so that???s why they took you here.

    Aang: What were their names?

Gyatso: If memory serves, your mother was Remi and your father was Tong. You have your mother???s eyes, but your father???s chin.

Aang: And whose hair do I have?

    (Both Aang and Gyatso laugh)

Aang: Have you heard from them since they left here?

Gyatso: I???m afraid not. I???ve heard stories of their travels, however, and it seems they were both adventurous. Just like you.

    Aang looks down, disappointed.

Aang: So there???s no way to tell if they???re still alive???

Gyatso can???t think of a suitable answer for this, so remains quiet. Suddenly, Aang looks up.

Aang: There isn???t anything left to learn in Airbending for me now, is there? I???ve learnt everything.

Gyatso: There is no such thing as learning everything to do with Airbending. You???ll create your own techniques in later life.

Aang: But there???s nothing left for me to do now, right?

    Gyatso frowns.

Gyatso: I???m not quite sure where you???re heading with this, Aang.

    Aang smiles sheepishly.

Aang: I???m just saying that if I were to leave, just for awhile, I wouldn???t miss anything important???

    Gyatso (cautiously): I suppose not.

Aang: And travelling will be good for me. I???d get to learn about life outside the temple.

Gyatso looks at Aang, a slightly confused look on his face.

Gyatso: ???You want to find your parents?

    Aang nods solemnly.

Aang: Only if it???s okay by you. I need closure about them, perhaps even get to know them if they???re still alive.

Gyatso nods, although a little reluctantly.

Gyatso: I understand. I???m sure it will be fine with the other monks too. You go pack your belongings and I???ll talk to them.

Aang stands up and bows to Gyatso.

    Aang: Thank you.

Gyatso nods again and gestures for Aang to go, smiling. Aang runs off quickly, and the smile disappears from Gyatso???s face, a worried look replacing it. Gyatso sighs and stands up, then begins to walk off, in the direction of the temple.

    End of scene.

Hope you liked it although it was kind of short and had a lot of stage directions

tico, there is a part in the plot where you mention Iroh heavily drinking and thoughts of commiting suicide...I don't think that really is appropiate for this, unless we change him into a state of depression in a different way. Like not caring for anything that might happen to him or any of his soldiers until he finds out about Ursula leaving and Zuko's need for love, as he already knows Zuko's relationship with his father. Then he realizes that he needs to get over his son's death and try to take care of Zuko as if he were his own son.

That could work too. I was just throwing it out there. The whole point is that he does become depressed. I was just trying to tie in his spirit world experience that was mentioned in the Siege of the North Part 1. See that is something they have not explained in the show just yet and I am wondering if it has to do with an encounter that he had with his son.

I'll write my story about this, but I'll put it tomorrow, I need to meditate and concentrate. j/k

hehe... It's kinda long, but I think it's ok for now. I might right a story scene later. I'm better at those.

This was the scene I used:

Meanwhile the evil monk goes to
the Sozin and tells him what

is happening. Sozin sees the opportunity

for them to strike at the southern temple and other areas of the world just as

a comet is passing by he finds that it increases the power of fire

benders. Many were caught off guard as

the fire nation army attacked them. A

huge fight takes place as the young monks die off easily.

    Fire Nation Palace,
    War Chamber, Day 1, Evening

*The Evil Monk has arrived at the Palace in secrecy, and
they are talking about the plans for the invasion of the air temples.*

Evil Monk: (Whispers) The day has come, Fire Lord Sozin. The
Air Temples will fall in unison. There is nothing they can do to protect
themselves from you, great Fire Lord.

Sozin: (Intimidating voice) You speak as a great admiral,
yet you seem to have the courage of a rabbit when it is about to be eaten. The
rabbit hides in fear, while the great predator rules the lands.

    *Evil Monk bows to Sozin*

Evil Monk: (Cowardly) B-b-b-but sir, I AM a great admiral. I
am the fiercest airbender in all of the lands! I will stand beside your armies
as you wipe out the rest of my pathetic people!

Sozin: That is where you are wrong. Guards, take this
deceiving traitor where he belongs. In the dungeon!

*Evil Monk gives Sozin a baffled look*

Evil Monk: (Confused) Wh-wh-what!?!? I just gave you the
most valuable information of the Air Nomads that I know, and you BETRAY ME!?

Sozin: You have given us valuable information, and we thank
you for that, but we know how you lied to your people. We know that you will
betray our people, as you did your own.

*The Evil Monk is dragged off into the dark, vague dungeons
    as he screams in fear*

    Fire Nation Palace,
    War Chamber, Day 2, Morning

*Sozin is giving a speech to his admirals, who wait in silence
as they listen. The admirals will be the first to go off into battle for the
    first fight in the war.*

Sozin: You, you are the admirals that will take out the Air
Nomads. YOU are the great conquerors that will bring down the Air Nomads. ALL
OF YOU will achieve the ranks as great men who fought against the Air Nomads.
Today, we will begin our journey to the Air Temples, where we will fight the
first battles of the great war, and we will be VICTORIOUS!

*Sozin sits back down, and bows his head in silence*

Admiral Zhoka: You are right, Fire Lord Sozin. This is the
year that we will invade the temples, and destroy the Air Nomads once and for
    all.

Sozin: The first temple to fall will be where the traitor
came from, and where the avatar is??? the Southern Air Temple. The Southern Air
Temple has stood for many years. This is the strongest temple, so it will be
best to catch them off guard while we have the chance. Also, each of our
soldiers will have the strength of ten firebenders. (Shouts) We are INVINCIBLE!

*Admirals give Sozin a baffled look*

Admiral Zhoka: Wh-what do you mean!? We are not THAT strong.
We do not have enough chi enhancing tea to give to all of our armies!

Sozin: (Whispers) But I have made a discovery??? a discovery
that will make us unbeatable to the rest of the world! All of you will see
during the last Air Nomad battle. It will finish off the Air Nomads??? but for
now, we must invade the Southern Air Temple, the strongest and most fortified
temple of them all! There, at that first battle, WE WILL SHOW THE WORLD HOW
MUCH DESTRUCTION THE FIRE NATION CAN DO!

*Admirals salute Sozin, and they all walk out of the chamber
in silence, knowing that they will be leaving that night for the Southern Air
    Temple*

*After journeying across the ocean to the Southern Air
Temple, they reach the base of the Potola Mountain Range. They are in a large
green field with wild flowers all around. Over 5,000 soldiers waited in silence
for the war horn to sound, which signaled the invasion.*

Invasion of the Southern Air Temple,
    Day 1

*Camera zooms in on the Fire Nation army with all of the men
training for the invasion. Admiral Zhoka walks around the camp, watching the
training, and perfecting the moves of the new recruits.*

Admiral Zhoka: No, no, you have it all wrong young private!
It is all in the breath. It does not matter how hard you punch, it is all in
the breath. You take in the oxygen and you???

*Messenger runs up to Admiral Zhoka, panting*

Messenger: (Panting) Admiral Zhoka, Admiral Zhoka!

Zhoka: What, what is it lad!?!?

Messenger: (Worried) It???s the Air Nomads, sir! They spotted
two young privates in the mountains and they took them into the temple!

Zhoka: (Fierce) ROUND UP THE LIGHTNING TEAM! THEY MUST BE
    THE FRONT OF OUR BATTLE!

*Zhoka takes out the war horn, and mumbles to himself about
the greatest battle ever fought. He looks up brutally, and blows the horn. The
Fire Nation army gathers behind him, with the Lightning Team up front, ready to
take out any wall that stands in their path.*

*Zhoka took out the war horn once again, and blew it yet
again. Generals of the smaller battalions of the army blew on their bison
whistles. From the nearest mountain, hundreds of bison came swarming in, but it
was not what they expected. These bison were carrying airbenders, and in the
front of them all, was Monk Gyatso.

Monk Gyatso: (Shouting) You will NOT take our home away from
us! We questioned the soldiers, and knew you were here! We may not have all of
our airbenders, but you will still have to take our land by force! You will
    face the airbender???s wrath!

Zhoka: Quick! Get to the trebuchets! It does not matter if
the bison are killed; we will find a way up into the Air Temple!
    Lightning Team, STRIKE WITH ME!

*Zhoka and the team of lightningbenders kneeled down on one
knee. They all took deep breaths, and put all of the fury that had been inside
them for so long into the lightning.*

*Thirty of the largest strikes of lightning ever created
headed straight for Monk Gyatso, but Monk Gyatso knew what to do. He took out
his glider, and he flew straight up towards the aqua blue sky. He headed down,
and created a large vortex as he dived. The vortex took in all of the
lightning, and shot it back out towards the Fire Nation Army. The benders
quickly deflected the lightning, and they were right back to attacking.*

*Gyatso was pulling out of his dive, when suddenly, one bolt
of lightning from Zhoka struck Gyatso in the leg. Gyatso crashed into the
ground, and airbenders surrounded him, trying to protect him from harm. They
begged for mercy. They didn???t want the airbender killed. They pleaded, until
finally a bison came and carried Gyatso off into the mountains.*

Zhoka: (shouts) General Voy, get one of those bison and take
some soldiers to follow that bison!

    Voy: Right away sir!

*General Voy and the rest of his battalion got on top of
some Air Bison, and they headed off after Gyatso. Several airbenders tried to
get the bison to come down, but they already knew that this battle was lost.*

*The airbenders began retreating into the mountains to find
shelter and refuge, but the firebenders kept on coming. There were just too
many??? the airbenders could not hold them back.*

*Many of the airbenders died in the battlefield, but some
retreated to the Southern Air Temple. The firebenders took the bison that were
left behind, and they followed Voy into the mountains. Hundreds of firebenders
that got to the temple surrounded it. Children hid in the deepest parts of the
temple, where they could not be found by the firebenders.*

*Within minutes, the firebenders brutally killed the rest of
the airbending monks, and they searched for Monk Gyatso. When they found him,
they saw him lying on the ground, panting. Gyatso called upon the spirits to
help him, but he did not wait for a response. He stood up on his burnt leg, and
he reached for his staff, he began airbending like no other has seen before. He
created huge tornadoes that shook the ground. He must have wiped out hundreds
of firebenders, but more kept on coming. He could not go on much longer. Zhoka
walked up to the worn out Gyatso.*

Zhoka: (Whispers) You have fought well, but your people are
a dying race. Understand this before you die. Fire is THE superior element.
This is the first battle of many. The Fire Nation will destroy the Air Nomads,
the Earth Kingdom, and the Water Tribes. We will
    rule the world.

Gyatso: (Whispers while panting) You may take the world for
your own one day, but you must know that there is always going to be the idea
of a rebellion. Not all of the people will follow your command. My people may
become extinct, but the Avatar will return. The Avatar will restore peace to
this world. It may be in one year or one hundred, but the world will one day
live in harmony once again. Fire is NOT the superior element. There is no
superior element, for we are all equal. I shall die fighting for my nation.

*One small tear trickled down the side of Gyatso???s face.*

*With that, Zhoka charged up the lightning in his body, and
with a final strike, killed Gyatso.*

*Zhoka stood on the mountain, overlooking the field
triumphantly. He looked around and he yelled to the other men.*

Zhoka: This day, we have taken the Southern Air Temple! They
could not hold back the superior element! We will destroy the strongholds of
the Air Nomads, Earth Kingdom, and Water
    Tribes! We will be undefeatable!

*The rest of the men shouted in conquest.*

*Among the green battlefield, however, there was no longer
peace. Blood of children and monks was strewn across the field. It was no
longer green, but blood red. Hundreds of bodies were scattered across the
field, both Air Nomad and Fire Nation.*

*Just then, Zhoka heard the words of his father. ???Remember
son, the world is not separated into four nations, it is already one. We are
all one people, separated by our different styles of life. We keep each other
in balance. The nations must stick together and keep balance so we can live in
    harmony.???*

    *Balance, Zhoka
thought, balance keeps us alive. Without balance, the world will go into
    corruption and chaos.*

??*A tear stroked his face. Zhoka had realized his brutal
actions, and he fled for a bison. The firebenders began shouting after him,
asking where he was going, but those firebenders never saw the admiral again???*

This was very good. It is top 5 material. There is only one hole in the story. It is a small one though. Based on the place where Aang found Gyatso's body in the Southern Air Temple episode he was in a building and was surrounded by many dead firebenders. Therefore Gyatso was in a huge battle and eventually became overwhelmed by the soldiers. So I think if you changed his dying scene to something like below it will flow with the current story.

Gyatso with his injured leg battled fiercely against the firebenders as he was slowly backed into the store house of the monks' farming. The battle raged on as more than twenty soldiers were eliminated before the wrath of Gyatso. Suddenly with a surge five men grabbed Gyatso arms, legs, and covered his mouth as they pinned him against the wall. ** Zhoka enters and your story continues**

Overall the story was very good with the exception of the blood filled fields. Lol. I did like the Lightening Squad. Good job!

When I did the Lightning Squad, I was thinking of the Terra Team for the earthbenders, and I thought about having something for the firebenders. So the Lightning Squad came in! Ya, the Gyatso death thing was a little weird to me when I wrote it, the one you posted seems a lot better, and hehe... about the blood filled fields, I think it should be changed to something about how the grass was in a blazing fire from where the firebenders caused all of the destruction or something like that. I didn't realize that it was PG/PG13 hehe... oops. Can I change my story a little bit?
I want to rewrite it in story format and repost it, if that's ok.

I've got a couple ideas for the S.P. invasion and/or what happened to Ursa, and also wanted to ask this:

Lu Ten. Could we go anywhere with him?

Yeah, bit confusing, but its there...

Anywho, I don't think my computer wants me to help. I tried about three times to start something, and it's not working. I'll be back after I kill my sister as a sacrifice to the great gods of the computer.

Original Video Animation (オリジナル・ビデオ・アニメーション orijinaru bideo animēshon?), abbreviated OVA (オーブイエー Ōbuiē?), is a term used in Japan for anime titles that are released direct-to-video, without prior showings on TV or in theaters. OVA titles were originally available on VHS, though they later became available on other media such as Laserdisc and DVD. OVA is sometimes used, perhaps inappropriately, to refer to any extremely short anime series or special regardless of its release format.

I'm almost done with my script, be patient, please!

I like the idea about using different lettering but I think it would be good after we have all the assignments.?? BTW, I am sometimes very dumb but what is "OVA?"

I kind of liked (I think it was Tico's idea, but I can't remember, sorry) where Iroh attempts suicide and ends up in the Spirit World. Then again, attempted??suicide is probably??a little deep for Avatar...

Or, if you meant how would he actually get there (like, by bus or something) then I'm not sure. I once read this book (possibly "Sorceress") where spirits walked down a ghostly road where they could meet with their other deceased loved ones. I'm not sure how this would fit in with Avatar though. Maybe Asian cultures have their own theories on Spirit Worlds and such...anyway, I'm signing off for the night, talk to you all tomorrow

This is the story format of my entry. I hope you enjoy it! Sorry for the suckiness of the layout, I can't get it to do it right.
Meanwhile the evil monk goes to
the Sozin and tells him what
is happening. Sozin sees the opportunity

for them to strike at the southern temple and other areas of the world just as

a comet is passing by he finds that it increases the power of fire

benders. Many were caught off guard as

the fire nation army attacked them. A

huge fight takes place as the young monks die off easily.
    Fire Nation Palace,
    War Chamber, Day 1 & 2
Afiko arrived at the palace in
haste to see Fire Lord Sozin. As he walked into the War Chamber, he noticed
Sozin sitting on the floor with his eyes closed. He walked up to Sozin, and
started backing away cautiously. ???Wait right there!??? boomed Sozin, ???Do not
leave just yet! It is the day before my soldiers leave for war.??? Afiko
whispered, ???The day is coming soon, Fire Lord Sozin. The pathetic Air Temples
will fall in unison. There is nothing they can do to protect themselves from
you, great Fire Lord. Your armies will stomp all over those wretched so called
???benders???. Sozin spoke in an intimidating voice, ???You speak as a great admiral,
yet you have no bravery or courage. I believe that you came here to so we can
show pity towards you. You are no High Monk, not until you prove to me that you
    are.???
    Afiko bowed
to Sozin swiftly. Afiko spoke as a coward, ???B-b-b-but sir, I AM a great
admiral! I am the fiercest airbender in all of the lands! I will stand beside
you as your armies wipe out the rest of my pathetic people!??? He whispered, ???I
give all of my services to you, Mighty One!??? Sozin softly said, ???You are no
great admiral, but I may give you a chance. You have betrayed your OWN people,
and we will not wait when you deceive the Fire Nation as well. You will be
watched, all day and all night. Remember, over a hundred guards are stationed
at this Palace, inside and out. You are quarantined to the Palace until you are
needed in the battlefield. My guards will now escort you to your room.??? Afiko
gave Sozin a baffled look. Afiko was confused, ???Wh-wh-what!? I would NEVER
betray the Fire Nation! You are much too powerful. I came here to be deemed
High Monk by the greatest firebender to ever live, and you quarantine me in the
palace!???? Sozin interrupted the monk, ???Afiko, we do not want you changing sides
in this war after you have come here. Understand that we do not truly know if
you are a spy or not, but we thank you for the valuable information. Our armies
will be on the doorstep of the Southern Air Temple within weeks.??? Sozin gave
Afiko a cruel grin as Afiko was escorted to his room.
    The next
day, Sozin walked into the War Chamber to find that the admirals were already
there. Sozin asked, ???Why are the four of you here so early???? One of the
admirals whispered, ???This is our first war. We have not seen the other benders
fight. We are great benders, but we are beginning to have second thoughts??????
Sozin interrupted, ???YOU WILL NOT HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS! YOU WILL MARCH IN, AND
DESTROY THOSE AIR NOMADS!??? He slammed his fist on the table, and a couple of
sparks flew from his fist. ???You, you are the admirals that will go down in
history for destroying the Air Nomads. YOU are the great conquerors that will
bring down the Air Nomads! ALL OF YOU will achieve the ranks as great men who
fought against the Air Nomads, and won! Tonight, we will begin our journey to
the Air Temples, where we will fight the first battles of this grand war, and
we will be VICTORIOUS!??? Sozin sat back down, and bowed his head in silence.
    Admiral Zhoka spoke, ???You are
right, Fire Lord Sozin. This is the year that we will invade the temples, and destroy
the Air Nomads once and for all.??? Sozin said, ???The first temple to fall will be
where the traitor was from, and where the Avatar is??? the Southern Air Temple. This
is the strongest temple, so it will be best to catch them off guard while we
have the chance. Also, each of our soldiers will have the strength of ten
firebenders,??? he shouted, ???We are INVINCIBLE!??? The admirals were baffled by
Sozin. They did not know what he was talking about. Zhoka said confused,
???Wh-what do you mean!? We are not THAT strong. We do not have enough chi
enhancing tea to give to our tens of thousands of soldiers!???
Sozin gave them a wicked grin and
whispered, ???But I, the greatest firebender to ever live, have made a discovery???
a discovery that will make us unbeatable to the rest of the world! All of you
will see during the last Air Nomad battle. It will finish off the Air Nomads???
but for now, we must invade the Southern Air Temple, the strongest and most
fortified temple of them all! There, at that first battle, WE WILL SHOW THE
WORLD HOW MUCH DESTRUCTION THE FIRE NATION CAN DO!??? The admirals saluted Sozin,
and walked out of the chamber in silence, knowing that they will be leaving
that night for the Southern Air Temple.
    The Invasion
    After journeying for weeks across
the ocean, they finally reached the Southern Air Temple. They set up their camp
at the base of the Potola Mountain range in a large
field of wondrous green grass, wildflowers, and a stream of clear water flowing
nearby. The sky was a perfect blue, but it would not be for long. War was upon
this field. There was no longer harmony between the nations, and the monks knew
it. The monks knew that the firebenders would one day get out of hand.
In the field, over 5,000 soldiers
were training for the invasion. They were ready to do whatever task Admiral
Zhoka gave to them. They were all ready to attack the Southern Air Temple,
which would be the first battle for the war. The admiral was walking around
camp, watching the training, and perfecting the moves of new recruits who had
not known of war. Zhoka was giving the soldiers his advice, ???No, no, you have
it all wrong young private! What are they teaching you these days!? It is all
in the breath. It does not matter how hard you punch, it is all in the breath.
You take in the oxygen and you?????? A messenger ran up to Zhoka, startling him.
The messenger was panting when he managed to whisper the words, ???Admiral Zhoka!
Admiral Zhoka!??? Zhoka was surprised, ???What, what is it lad!???? The messenger
worriedly said, ???It???s the Air Nomads, sir! They spotted two young privates in
the mountains and they took them to the temples! We must prepare for battle!???
Zhoka was ready for anything. He
yelled, ???ROUND UP THE LIGHTNING TEAM! THEY MUST BE AT THE FRONT OF THE BATTLE!??? Zhoka took out
the war horn, and thought to himself. This
is the first battle of the Fire Nation, we must win, or we will be laughed at
and called fools around the world.
He looked up at the mountains brutally,
and he blew the war horn. The Fire Nation military gathered behind him. The
Lightning team was up front; ready to take out any obstacle that stood in their
way. The sun was straight overhead. There were no shadows, and the firebenders
were at their strongest in the day. They were ready.
Zhoka took out the war horn yet
again, and blew it. Generals of the smaller battalions got out the bison
whistles they had made in the Fire Nation. The generals lifted the wooden
whistles to their lips, and they blew. The screeching noise rang throughout the
mountains. From the nearest mountains, hundreds of bison came swarming into the
field. The firebenders did not expect what they had seen. The bison were
carrying airbenders, and at the front of them all, was Monk Gyatso. Gyatso
shouted to Zhoka and the rest of the army, ???You will NOT take our home away
from us! We have questioned the soldiers, and they betrayed you! We may not
have all of our airbenders here and ready, but our land will not fall without
resistance! You will face the wrath of the airbenders!???
Zhoka quickly yelled, ???Get to the trebuchets!
It does not matter if the bison are killed; we will find a way up into the Air Temple!
Lightning Team, STRIKE WITH ME!??? Zhoka and the team of lightningbenders kneeled
down on one knee. They all took deep breaths, and put all of the fury that had
been inside them for so long into the lightning. They shot the lightning in
unity. Thirty of the largest strikes of lightning ever created hurled straight
for Monk Gyatso, but Monk Gyatso knew what to do. He took out his glider, and
he flew straight up towards the aqua blue sky. He headed down, and created a
large vortex as he dived. The vortex took in all of the lightning, and shot it
back out towards the Fire Nation Army. The benders quickly deflected the
lightning, and they were right back to attacking. The trebuchets were ready,
and they began bombing the bison. The bison feared the fire, and they headed
    towards ground.
Gyatso was pulling out of his dive,
when suddenly, one bolt of lightning from Zhoka struck Gyatso in the leg.
Gyatso crashed into the ground, and airbenders surrounded him, trying to
protect him from harm. They begged for mercy. They didn???t want the airbender
killed. They pleaded, until finally one of the bravest bison came and carried
Gyatso off into the mountains. Zhoka shouted, ???General Voy, get some of those
grounded bison and take your battalion to follow the monk!??? Voy shouted, ???Right
away sir!??? Voy and his soldiers saluted him and they ran off to where the bison
were located. They got on the tops of the bison, and headed after Gyatso. The
airbenders tried to bring the bison down, but the firebenders were closing in
on them. The airbenders knew that the battle was lost. The airbenders began
retreating into the mountains to find shelter and refuge, but the firebenders
kept on coming. There were just too many??? the airbenders could not hold them
    back.
Many of the airbenders died in the
battlefield, but some retreated to the Southern Air Temple. The firebenders
took the bison that were left behind, and they followed Voy into the mountains.
Hundreds of firebenders that got to the temple surrounded it. Children did not
have time to hide; they had to fight with the remaining airbenders. Within
minutes, the firebenders brutally killed the rest of the airbenders that were
fighting, and they searched for Monk Gyatso. When they found him, they saw him
lying on the ground, panting. Gyatso called upon the spirits to help him, but
he did not wait for a response. He stood up on his burnt leg, and he reached
for his staff, and he began airbending like no other has seen before. He
created huge tornadoes that shook the ground. He blew the strongest currents
into crevices in the mountain, and the mountain range shook under Gyatso???s
power. He must have wiped out hundreds of firebenders, but more kept on coming.
He could not go on much longer.
Gyatso was worn out, but he fought
back anyway. He was cornered into a building of the Air Temple,
where gliders were stored. He reached for one of the gliders after his had been
burned to ash. As he reached, one of the soldiers dived for Gyatso???s arm.
Another firebender pinned his other arm to the ground. Gyatso did not have
enough strength to blow back the firebenders. They closed in on him. Zhoka
moved the firebenders to the side. He whispered to Gyatso in a harsh voice, ???You
have fought well, but your people are a dying race. Understand this before you
die. Fire is THE superior element. This is the first battle of many. The Fire
Nation will destroy the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom,
and the Water Tribes. We will rule the world.??? Gyatso whispered to the admiral
as he was panting, ???You may take the world for your own one day, but you must
know that there is always going to be the idea of a rebellion. Not all of the
people will follow your command. My people may become extinct, but the Avatar
will return. The Avatar will restore peace to this world. It may be in one year
or one hundred, but the world will one day live in harmony once again. Fire is
NOT the superior element. There is no superior element, for we are all equal,
but I shall die fighting for my nation. You all are fools to follow the orders
of your corrupt Fire Lord.??? One small tear trickled down the side of Gyatso???s
    face.
With that, Zhoka charged up the
lightning in his body, and with a final strike, struck Gyatso right in the
heart, killing him.??? Zhoka stood on the mountain, overlooking the field
triumphantly. He looked around and he yelled to the other men, ???This day, we
have taken the Southern Air Temple! They could not hold back the superior
element! We will destroy the strongholds of the Air Nomads, Earth Kingdom,
and Water Tribes! We are immortal!??? The rest of the men shouted in conquest.
    Among the green battlefield,
however, there was no longer peace. Hundreds of bodies were strewn across the
field in defeat. Most of them were Air Nomad, but there were some Fire Nation
soldiers too. Innocent people had died in the battle from the destructive Fire
Nation forces. The field was ablaze, the grass was brown and dry, and the sky
was red as the sun was setting over the ocean in the west. The stream no longer
flowed like it did so calmly before, the stream was instead, moving at a fast
pace, and small waves were created. It was a murky brown color instead of
clear. The hermit crabs that had lived in the stream were long gone, leaving it
    to be uninhabited.
Just then, Zhoka heard the words of
his father. ???Remember son, the world is not separated into four nations, it is
already one. We are all one people, separated by our different styles of life.
We keep each other in balance. The nations must stick together and keep balance
so we can live in harmony.??? Balance,
Zhoka thought, balance keeps us alive. Without balance, the world will go into
    corruption and chaos.
A tear stroked his face. Zhoka had realized his
brutal actions, and he fled for a bison. The firebenders began shouting after
him, asking where he was going, but those firebenders never saw the admiral
    again???

Go for it.?? Just edit the original post and let me know when you are done.?? You can send me a personal message and I will copy the text again into the top five file that I have.

Okay, here it is, the Southern Water tribe decimation and Katara and Sokka's mother's death.

    ??

    ??

Screen pans across bright moonlight sky. The stars are shining and it is snowing. The screen turns down and we see a boy and a man walking on a frozen beach.

    Boy-Hey, Dad! Look!

He bends over and picks a handful of snow up, the snow has a strange black color.

    Boy-What is it Dad?

The man sees the black snow and his eyes widen.

Father-Sokka, run, find the other warriors!

    Sokka-But Dad-

    Father-Now!

The boy runs off to a small village light with numerous fires.

    Father-(solemnly)No,(pause) please no.

He runs up a snow covered hill and sees three sinister metal monsters cruising into the bay.

    Father-No!

Several animal skin-clad warriors run up the hill.

    Warrior#1-(fearfully)What is it Hakoda?

Hakoda-The fire nation is coming. We need to prepare.

Scene changes to village. Sokka runs into a tent.

    Sokka-Mom, look what I found!

He shows her the black snow.

    Mother-(awe)Thats impossible!

Hakoda enters and begins rummaging through a sack.

Mother-(worried)Hakoda, what is it? What's happening?

Hakoda-Kaira, there are fire nation ships in the bay! Get yourself and the kids to safety!

    Kaira-But what about y-

    Hakoda-Nevermind me, I'll be fine!

A young girl walks into the room and yawns, she was obviously sleeping.

    Girl-(smiling)Hi, Dad!

She runs up and hugs him.

Hakoda-Hello, little Katara. We need you and your brother to play hide and seek, okay?

    Katara-Okay! Where at?

    Hakoda-(thinks)Pengiun cave! It'll be fun!

Katara-Will you come and find me dad?

    Hakoda-(whispering)If I can.

Hakoda rushes out of the room, spear in one hand, sword in the other. Sokka grabs his father's old club and begins to follow him.

Kaira-Sokka, where do you think you're going?

    Sokka-(angrily)To help Dad!

Kaira-(sternly)No, you are not! You are going to take your sister to penguin cave!

    Sokka-But, Mom?

Kaira-No buts! (softer)I'll stay and help Dad, okay?

    Sokka-(pouts)Fine.

    Katara-What's happening mommy?

Kaira-Daddy needs to see about some unwelcome visitors and he wants you to be safe, dear.

    Katara-Will Dad be alright?

Kaira-He'll be fine, little one, now go with your brother.

Scene changes to a line of warriors and benders standing on a fortified snow berm.

    Warrior#1-Hakoda, they're almost here, what??we do?

Hakoda-Have the waterbenders make a blockade. Oh, and Bato, stay safe.

Bato-What, you don't trust me? (jokingly)This isn't like the time we went beark hunting.

Hakoda-No, its worse. (smiles)On my signal, friend.

Bato-There's the Hakoda I grew up with, wondered when he'd show up.(also smiles)

Bato and four waterbenders slide down the slope towards the skiffs and begin to go out into the bay.

Hakoda-Wait for it, wait, wait, NOW!

As the ships come closer the waterbenders swing their hands in an upward motion, freezing the water into large ice??spires, impedeing the ship's movement.

On one of the ships a sailor approaches a man in the captains seat.

Sailor-Admiral Dou, they've set up large spikes in our path. What are your orders for the helmsman?

Admiral Dou-Tell him to increase speed.

    Sailor-But sir, we'll cr-

Admiral Dou-Do as I say or I'll have you trown overboard.(pauses)Well, what are you waiting for, you insolent fool?! Go!

The sailor rushes out, cursing uder his breath.

The water tribe warriors watch the ships with hope.

    Bender#1-(worried)They aren't slowing down!

Bender#2-Don't worry, they'll turn around, like all the rest. It's just tha-

He stops and watches in horror as the ship smashes through the barricade as if it were a handful of toothpicks.

Bato-They're icebreakers! Go for the sides, the're's less armor!

The benders comply, sending spikes into one of the three ships, disabling it. Soldiers from on deck begin to??drop firebombs onto the skiffs. Some of the waterbenders freeze the bombs in midair, but a bomg hit the second skiff, destroying it on impact.

    Bato-Retreat! Back to the wall!

Scene swithes to Sokka and Katara sitting in a cave, waiting for someone to come.

Sokka-Ah! I'm tired of waiting! I'm gonna go help Dad!

    Katara-You can't leave!

Sokka-You're always such a stuck-up, wet blanket, tattle tale-

    Katara-(misheiviously)Unless I'm coming with you!

Sokka-You an't come, Mom said to keep you here.

    Katara-(mockingly)Now who's the wet blanket?

Sokka-Ugh! Fine you can come, but no leaving my side, okay?

    Katara-(smiling)Fine.

Scene switches back to the village. Soldiers are everywhere, fighting water tribe warriors.??Bender and warrior alike fall to the power of the technology of the fire nation. Bato is on the wall, kicking men off into the water and hacking through soldiers as they approach him. Hakoda spears a man and clubs another in the head. He turns to Bato on the wall and yells.

Hakoda-Bato, collapse the wall of the village!

    Bato-What?!

Hakoda-Have the waterbenders crush the ships with the wall!

Bato gives the order and the benders reluctantly carry it out. The remaining two ships are imploded under the weight of the falling wall, crushing all of the soldiers inside.

Bato-(finally understanding)Now, lets turn it inwards!

Scene changes to Katara and Sokka running towards their tent. A scream is heard.

    Sokka-MOM!

Katara and Sokka run inside to see their mother fighting off a soldier with Hakoda's club. She is knocked down and the club falls.

    Kaira-Sokka, Katara, run away!

Their faces mirror the horror they feel as they see the soldier raises his hand. Sokka covers Katara's eyes as she begins to cry. Screen centers on Sokka and Katara as a flash of light illuminates them. The soldier turns with a wicked smile on his face.

Soldier-Ha ha ha. Oops, was that yours?

    Sokka-NO!

Sokka charges the sadistic soldier, but before he reaches him a large chunk of ice falls through the roof and smashes him. Sokka and Katara look outside, Katara still crying. They see the wall of the village collapsing upon the soldiers, smashing all of them as the benders manuver the avalance around the warriors.

At daylight all of the soldiers are gone, dead or awol. Hakoda finds Sokka and Katara huddled in a snowdrift.

    Hakoda-(worried)Sokka, Katara, are you alright?

    Sokka and Katara-Dad!

    They rush into his arms.

Hakoda-Thank the spirits you are both safe! Ah, where is your mother?

Sokka and Katara look at their feet, Katara begins to cry again. Hakoda looks like someone had punched him in the gut.

    Sokka-(tearfully)Mom is, gone.

They rush back into Hakoda's arms and begin crying again. Shot pans upward to see sunrise and then pans downward to see sunset and a figure wrapped in cloth being buried in the snow. Hakoda, Sokka, Gran Gran Kanna,??and Katara stand beside the grave.??Solenmn music is heard as they cover her with snow. Katara is holding onto the necklace that her mother gave her tightly.??An old song in an ancient language is sung by Kanna as an arctic dove flies overhead. Shot follows flight of dove into the sky and eventually the sun.
