I STILL say we've got to buy more Avatar merchandise before we're going to get any new episodes. I'll bet not enough people preordered the DVDs after the May 6th release date was announced, Nick looked at the profit margins, and took away the air date.
eh, i don't think so, since the episodes are already made and ready to be aired, Nick gains absoultely nothing by not airig them, if fact they are LOSING money by not airing them. (cause commercials bring in money)

I think they will air them eventually cause they will still get decent ratings with them (espcailly the finale) so even if they do release the DVDs first, the will air the episodes sooner or later. I think they ae just waiting for the right time to air them. Summer would not be a good idea to air the episodes (especailly the finale ) since ratings are lowest during that season, so their best bet would be either to air them really, really soon, (in like 1 week or 2) or in septemeber. (maybe that's why they decided to pull the july airdate)

Well actually, the summer is not as bad as you think. When you think about it, kids are out of school. They are hanging out and Friday nights can be easily filled with new episodes of Avatar. There won't be other shows to even compete with it then. So the viewers may actually increase.

Now if we want to really support it, then we have to do a pyramid scam. We have to show 5 friends, that are not watching it, what the buzz is all about. We get them hooked and they have to pay it forward by getting 5 of their friends hooked.

As the viewing audience increases then the greater possibility of Nick putting it on again sooner. It would be nice if we can get as many viewers as American Idol to watch the show!

We can do it if we work to spread the word. Based on the audience in the trailer alone, I would say we can do it within 2 weeks. They just have to start watching Nicktoons, buy the DVDs, or even send fan mail to Nick.com. If they get an influx they will consider more...

You guys are missing my point.

Contrary to what everybody else here seems to thing, Nick doesn't have to air Avatar unless it wants too. Nick isn't going to just come and look at the forums here and decide that it's loosing money. Nick isn't going to care about fan mail telling it that it's loosing money. Nick is going to hire a bunch of accountants to punch numbers into a bunch of equations. Then, if the accountants say that Nick's loosing money, Nick will air the episodes.

As sad as it is, pyramid scams and viewer increases won't work, unless we buy a bunch of merchandise on top of them.

Sorry, but we're not going to get any respect from the Nick executives until we shove money in their faces. The problem is that nobody wants to do that.

QFT. Just mention the word money, and they'd be happy.

They don't have much merchandise and if they had high viewership it would make it more likely for people to want advertise during that time which means ad spots increase in price which equals more money for Nick, or they can do what they do and release the DVD and make money that way.

They liscence the release of a halfa$$ed THQ game, they release shoddy toys, and have the occasional Burger King endorsement deal. I'm not having any part of any of those, though I am willing to buy the DVDs.

Not many ways I can show Nick money, but it's hard to get the kids with short attention spans to want to get Avatar toys when they scarcely remember the show exists...

There's pleanty of things to buy. Nick's got giant Appa and Momo plushies for sale, and Avatar t-shirts. There's still the DVDs, and the new one that's coming out in May.

And it's IMPOSSIBLE to increase viewership if Nick's not airing any of the Avatar reruns on TV. We might try turbonick, but not all of the episodes are avalible on there.

We pretty much exhausted the original purpose of the thread within about 3 posts...due to the nature of the topic, I doubt it would've lasted much longer, really. But it is honestly off-topic now.

Lol, I'm complaining about off-topic-ness. Srs bsns.
