I join the MAI-MUST-DIE club. But not for Zutara related reasons. I just hate Mai. Someone give me one good reason (that doesn't invole Zuko cause I think he can do alot better than one of his sister's friends) why we need her in the show.
She just gave everything up for someone who as far as she knows doesn't care about her. She did it because she loves him. I think she's made the hardest sacrifice of anyone in the entire show except maybe zuko himself. I mean seriously, keep in mind zuko just locked her in a cell. As far as she knows he is gone forever, and she did what she did knowing that.

Has it occurred to you that all the heroes have intentionally made sacrifices EXCEPT for Aang? He left the Southern Air Temple, but he didn't know that he was going to never see them again. Katara and Sokka gave up their home in the Southern Water Tribe to help Aang, Toph gave up her family to help Aang, Zuko gave up everything he ever wanted to help Aang and everyone who was captured on DoBS gave up their freedom so that Aang could escape.

Aang's the only one who's never made the right choice between what you want and what you need to do. I think its time that he does so and gives up Katara so he can save the world.

Wow daveshan..that's just a way of you saying: AANG CANNOT LOVE KATARA.

Yeah, such a deus ex machina that they didn't even have ANY hints to Katara and Aang forming a deeper relationship throughout the entire series... oh wait.

This sounds like Kikyo hate all over again. Ugh! Look, just because you don't like Mai doesn't mean she isn't good. She's a caring friend to Ty lee (she got concerned for her when she saw her on Omashu, defended her from Zuko {the same guy she loves more than anything}, and was terrified when she betrayed Azula because she was ready to sacrifice herself but not TL). She's bad@ss, stealthy, and strong. She has a sarcastic sense of humor that I really appreciate. She's controlled and smart, traits that are appreciated when dealing with Azula. She's beautiful and mature (yes, she's pretty... every freaking girl except old ladies and Meg are hot in the series!). She's dark, confident, and stand tall with her head high under any situation. Seriously, just because you don't appreciate Mai doesn't mean she deserves to die dammit. She's my 3 favorite character for a reason and the BR just proved it twice as hard.

    Shaolina, you're awesome.

Seriously, I don't understand why people hate Mai so much they wish her to die. ESPECIALLY after TBR. I thought she owned that episode. Seriously. She hasn't done anything wrong the whole show, I mean, she's not the most likeable character (even though I've thought she was supercool since the beginning) but come on guys, give her a break.

Thanks. My guess is that she's just too different. Especially is you consider that she stands next to Azula, who overpowers every scene deliciously, and Ty Lee, enough said XD. You have to give her a second look and look for her. A lot of people can't seem to do that from the start. But it's been getting better in the Mai-love front ever since the BR episode. YAY!!

None that are talked about prior to the end of the episode that each event happened in. Remember, we are at five episodes post DoBS kiss and still no discussion of it. As far as the dance goes, don't even hope to see that talked about again.

Just read Shaolina's posts, she describes why we haven't heard any discussion yet and it makes perfect sense. I see no reason for discussion on their dance either, it was simply that, a dance.

219 Sokka finds that Azula was dressed as KYoshi warrior and something happened to Suki

220 to 310, virtually no mention at all about Suki

311 Azula mentions her "favorite prisoner" and now Sokka apeears saying "where's suki?"
    312 and 313 no mention

314 in the trip to BR is when Sokka talks about Suki(slightly, the gf that became a moon is Yue) and in BR itself he was concentrating in finding if hakoda was there, finding Suki in the yard was a happy fate event

and remember the 2 unspoken rules of Bryke

we can't have confirmation or denial of either of the 2 main ships(or any other directly connected to them)

I don't believe that. I have a real life example to show how that isn't true. I have this friend that was friends with a girl, but she got mad at him for really no reason. Then decided she didn't want to be friends with him anymore. So he tried to get over it, but he missed her after a while because he couldn't. Then he decided to suck it up and at least try to talk to her. The mature thing to do would have been to tell him no, but she just continued to act petty and ignore him. (Now that I think of it, the mature thing for Katara to do would be to not threaten Zuko's life, even though that's moot now.)

See, I don't know about about the Katara thing... (but I do believe that maturity is not as simple as "girl's first", although it seems like the usual thing, it's an individual experience and I've also seen girls that maturity went past them...) You see Katara needed that outlet. Here's this guy who already made her eat up his act as far as she's concerned and by doing so she risked her best friend. Imagine that amount of guilt and hatred inside you eating you up. So when Zuko shows up and by the end of the episode nobody was listening to her it was obvious she was going to explode at Zuko. Katara's not kun-fu action Jesus... she's Mary water action (Virgin or Magdalena? You decide ) so instead of turning the other cheek she went and protected her best friend. Now slowly the pressure goes down and they'll be friends because once the ugly feeling is out Katara will have the maturity to forgive Zuko ... as soon as he deserves it (which is totally fair)

Oh please, Sokka, Toph and Katara were out of their old lives first chance they got. Toph hated her parents' guts, Katara was desperate for a waterbending teacher and Sokka wanted to prove himself as a warrior. When Aang came a-knockin' they'd packed their bags faster than you can say 'zuko is a whiny emo boy'. Heck even Gran Gran seemed to be thrilled to send her grandkids packing.

Face it, Aang was the best thing that ever happened to Katara, Sokka and Toph.

Can't stop laughing at the Gran-Gran comment. But it's true!

Oh, I see what you are saying, Wiselad. You are saying that Mike and Bryan have patterns in the story that they like to keep consistant.

Such patterns would include the fact that they are not extremely objective in what is said. After all, no one actually confirmed Sokka's theory that firebenders lose their bending during a solar eclipse and it turned out to be correct. Another example would be if a guru who knows the only established way to get into the AS while being aware of your actions says to "Let all of those attachments go. Let them flow down the river, forgotten." Mike and Bryan wouldn't read into some super thin, reading between the lines that are between the lines part of that statement. No, no, no, they would keep their pattern consistent.

Brilliant deductive reasoning. In fact, if Aang wants to win, he should do everything the complete opposite of how it was done in Crossroads of Destiny.

Zutarians won't care. Just so long as Zuko and Katara have hot angry sex, they won't care.

God when will the Zutaraians learn that Aang and Katara can also have hot angry sex. Tisk tisk.

To spacerac (its not letting me quote you for some reason): Aww, thanks for not letting him kill me *glares at blaster* And yeah, Sukka is pretty damn awesome

To Shaolina23: Well.....I am guilty of being in that category. However, in my defense, I liked Sakura/Syaoran originally in the English version where there was no declarations of love, and it was just a cute little crush. No passionate kisses, or massive love dramas (between those two at least ) at all! Which was great. However, I much prefer Sakura/Syaoran in love when they're older. They should just have been friends as kids - it was weird when I saw the japanese episodes and Syaoran said he loved/liked her. Not sure how I can defend myself here. Does context of the characters and relationships count? (as in, Aang's relationship with Katara, while being older, is a lot more about deep passionate love than sakura/syaoran?). I dunno. I'll just go back to my cookies now

I could allow it if you do it following the japanesse manga which I still have and never read. Taking out Planet ladder and Dragon Knights I find some of my manga to be a waste of money. Thank you internet. Now I could be wrong since it's been years since I last saw the jap series and reviewed my manga, but I think they kiss at some point. Just a brush type of kiss, which is restrospect if that's true it's the same type of kiss that Aang, 2 years older than them, has given to Katara officially in an ammount that I can count with one hand. (You know, it may sound weird, but I think I liked thinking that Syoran was some gay kid in love with a HS student. It seemed funny in a twisted way)
Dragging the posts back to this, I only really shipped Syaoran/Sakura in the japanese episodes (never read the manga) because it was a lot more obvious then (because english dub cuts out all romance, lol).

As for the kissing thing, I'm pretty sure they didn't. I'd remember that, lol. Actually, they had to for the play of Sleeping Beauty (and then had to practice before that, but Clow cards interrrupted ). I think a Clow card also interrupted the scene in the actual play, because they don't actually kiss. She just hugs him later, and her brother looks like he's about to kill syaoran

Back to zutara and avatar - thanks for also standing up for me Psyche987. Its nice to know that there's some people who DON'T want me dead

And spacerac, I resent that! I would be very upset if Aang died, even if Zutara happened. Well, not really (the zutara joy would cancel it out ), but I would still be sad if he died, being the hero and all. As for the Zutara - I think hot angry sex is taking it a bit far in this show, lol. Kiss is as far as its gonna go (and kataang's already had 3, only one of which had a positive reaction from Katara (context or not for other two) and that was a daydream ).

I don't care about the physical side of their relationship - I prefer the complexity and dynamics of their relationship. Because it would be so awesome if it happened - epic romance all the way! *sighs dreamily and goes all sparkly-eyed* lol
