As i see it, its likely that in the mid-season movie the Solar Eclipse will end (because apparently thats what one of the eps is called) and the Gaang will be in hot water, here ZUko appears and saves them, possible resulting in him being captured (be good cliff-hanger and mirrors his choice in CoD ep, being his final discision) then later he might be rescued by Gaang, maybe from public execution (the scene is set, ZUko is walked up to the chopping block with his hand trapped in iron bonds and feet chained. He calmly walks up to the block and bows down; his neck now expossed. The Gaurd Raises the axe, then a sudden gust of wind blows the axe and gaurds mask away [the gaurd with now spiky hair and conFused look on face]the Gaang Appears, we see stern exchances of faces, and then the Gaang attack, sending gaurds flying. The Gaurd picks the axe back up in the confusion and goes to strike, but Zuko back flips and gets his feet-chains cut. He then joins the fight- fire bending with only his feet in a karate-breakdance style (like end of Ang Kai in ep 2 with Zhao)

And they gave him goo ol slow but sure character development. It would destroy his character to ME.

True, but for the public i dont think a burning corpse would work so will (and also beheading how most royalty is killed, or stranglation), thou the only change would be Zuko would be chained to iron post and a fire built around him in ye old witch burning style

Zuko is chained to to the iron post as the crowd gathers around him. He hears there booing and taunting rising higher and higher "traitor, back stabber, filth". The wood is piled around him and the executioners prepare to fire at the pile. "Is there any last words u would like to say before u are executed for crimes against the state?" the words are barely a whisper above the screams of the crowd. "Yeah," Laughs Zuko "you forgot to chain my chin" with a sudden, fast nod the fire around Zuko zooms high into the air and beings raining on the executioners around him

Exactly i actually came up with a scene a while ago where the Gaang is surrounded by FB and then we see blue fire shoot into the air in the distance, then one of the Gaang says "not Azula too", the firebenders laugh at the Gaang plight, then we see the blue fire blue smash into the crowd of fire benders, causing them to be blown back, revealing a ZUko surrounded by Blue flame in the crater, he screams "RUN" at the Gaang and starts battling the 30+ elite FB soldiers with his blue fire
