I'm pretty sure you're correct in your assumption. I'm just confused if he/she was speaking to the characters in the show or a post. I don't remember a post prior saying it was funny.

I haven't checked all the pages, but did no one ever get the worst vibe from Jen? I'm still with Zuko's original gut feeling: she's bad news. There is no room for romance there. I'm sure she's an assassin.

She took Zuko to a place begging for his Firebending to save the day. She is forcing him into a relationship and not giving him the time to decide if it's a good idea. Her name probably isn't even Jen! She's gonna marry him, poison him with a kiss, steal his ship and run it to a scrapping station. But that'll wait until the finale, when this 4 episode long filler is done.

Only Chapter 11 of Book 1 was a filler episode. All of the other episodes have a purpose and you can't prove otherwise.

I don't get a bad feeling from her. Zuko thought she was bad news because they already had Jet try to out them.?? He's justifiably paranoid.?? He sees a girl that comes in almost every day and stares at him.?? Remember that just about the only beneficial female influence in his life was his mother.?? His sister was constantly tormenting him, and her friends would just laugh with her.

I view Jin as an outgoing and cheerful girl.?? She wants to date Zuko, so she's going for it.?? She doesn't want their date to be bad, so she tries to get him to open up and shows him one of her favorite spots.?? She asked about his past to change the subject.?? Zuko had just made an uncomfortable comment about how much she was eating.?? For all anyone knows, that fountain may usually be lit up at night; she does call it Firelight Fountain.?? There are lanterns there for a reason.?? If she was trying to get Zuko to firebend, she was risking a lot of things to go wrong.?? The person that lights the lanterns may have lit them or be arriving shortly; someone else may have been there and/or be lighting the lanterns; Zuko could have had something mundane to light them with.?? Iroh didn't know Jet was hiding across the street, but he still remembered to ask their neighbors for a flint.

I recommend a theropist. Somebody is just a little too paranoid and obsessed. Seesh, Zuko ain't your character. Mike and Bryan are going to do with him what they will, even if it means throwing him into a relationship with someone you deem a Sue.

I'm just glad Zuko went on a date and responded to her. He has hormones! He isn't above girls nor is a homosexual (nothing wrong with that but I prefer my characters straight thank you.) And Jin was decent. She had depth; she's kind-hearted, outgoing, understanding, attractive yet adorably sloppy it makes her endearing.

Yup, I agree with everything you said. And I don't agree with most people, so you should feel honored

The first season was great with the flow, I didn't feel like any of it was filler. But right nw we're looking at at least 3 episodes of pure filler. It's horrible.

And Jin's a guy's name. I refuse to call that girl Jin. I never called her a Sue, I called her a Saffron. Watch Firefly. She's an arteeste. This is a discussion you guys, calm down. I may very well be right, no matter what you think.

I don't disagree with anything you have said FreakishChild with the exception of your claim that the date Zuko went with had depth. She was a kind, outgoing, peppy girl. I've met a million of them - they're not deep solely by that purpose. We have no reason to think she's any different than the wonderfully happy Mang - who wasn't a deep character either. There's a little more work involved in building a character than making her smile, frown then smile again.

3 episodes of filler? City of Walls and Secrets had very important stuff that adds to the plot. Plus, season one had tons of fillers. "Imprisoned" "the Great Divide" "the Fortuneteller"

...Yeah. I'll give that one to you. Season 1 had lots of filler.

Tales of Ba Sing Se is the filler episode, as will Appa's Pointless Solo Episode be. The episode after that will be the 17th of the season, after which will begin the three part finale in which things will matter again. I'm waiting for that.

As far as I know it, next week's episode is just about Appa. It's called Appa's Lost Days for a reason: it's an episode about where Appa has been and what he's been doing and where he is now. It has nothing to do with anything else. It's the Momo Story with 25 more minutes of padding.

    ...

Okay. You're right. They need an entire episode that tells us what Appa's been doing the last few episodes and where he is now before we get back to moving the plot.

More or less. I wouldn't exactly constitute three as "tons" but most would regard the Great Divide as the only true filler of the first season. In fact, it was the first freakin season, they were still planting their feet so technically either all or none can be considered to be "filler" (seriously, "filler", "newbie", "noob", "shipping", "X-play boards" who comes up with this crap? ). Once they did find their ground, the "filler" feeling went away. Which is why the second half of the first season overall really kicked ass. ????Now season 2..I'll leave it there.

Well then why are we back to filler if they "found their feet"?
"Newbie", "noob", and "shipping" are all forum/online slang. "Filler" is a term mostly used by hack writers.

For the first sentence, that's kinda the point I was trying to make. I even thought of ending it with "So what's season 2's excuse?"??or "So I don't know what's going on with season 2."??But you'know for second sentence,??you'know uh, thanks for, clearin that??stuff up. Very interesting.????????

i sort of like the filler episodes cause they have personal conflicts and help you get to know the characters better. they are also well made as all avatar episodes are. dont get me wrong... the ones where stuff happens are better but the filler ones are ok once in a while as well...

by the way im steve and i just signed up here
