Mabye blushing doesn't count, but does cheek kissing, actual kissing, hugging every second episode, enjoying the heck out of dancing together, long looks of gazing wonder, betrothal necklaces and substitutes, and a whole range of other things count?
Blushing TOTALLY counts. In fact, it counts more than cheek kissing and hugging. When Katara kisses Aang on the cheek, she doesn't care because it's just a friendly gesture. She DOES care when he does something romantic or cute, or when she's embarrassed because someone called out their love by accident. That's where the blushing comes in. You only blush when you don't want someone to know something, and the cases in which the blushing happened were all positive Kataang experiences. Kissing on the cheek and hugging can happen anytime, blushing is reserved only for cute moment

To be honest, my favorite Sokka ship was always Sokka/Yue. After Yue died, and Yuokka with it, I became somewhat indifferent to Sokka's ships.

I was always a Sokka/Yue fan as well. I swear, "The Swamp" KILLED me. I was so excited that Yue was back! Talk about getting your hopes up... but when Suki was introduced to the picture a bit more in the third season I started to warm up to George. I'll always be a Sokka/Yue lover, but George is just too adorable for me to be bitter

I like Yukka, but during the time I didn't really think about shippings much so I didn't ship it.

And I quote from the "Shipping History" thread:

"118 - 120 saw the rise and fall of Yuokka. Although short lived, it is remembered historically as being the only ever true threat to the nation of Sukka. After it's collapse, most of the citizens of Yuokka were assimilated into George, although to this day many of them still retain a strong sense of Yuokkan patriotism".

    LeonMorado was a genius.

Nothing truer has ever been typed I must admit, when I first starting watching the series I wasn't exactly a shipper, because Kataang was so obviously going to happen (no offense to you Zutarians, but it's true). But, when I saw Sokka/Yue, I immediately became one. George posed a small threat, and I wanted to fight for Yuokka. That was my first experience of shipping.

Yeah, it was clear Aang and Katara we going to be together from the moment he opened his eyes, which is what I never liked about the ship.

Not that cute. It would've been better if they had been in other relationships before. I knew they were going to happen, but I think they should've gone out with other people first.

You mean like Haru, Jet, Teo, Meng, Kokko, and Aang's army of Kyoshi Island fangirls?

Well, Aang was kind of in a block of ice for 100 years and lived in a place with only males. Unless you want him to be gay Aang had no choice. Katara was stuck in a small town in the freakin South Pole with only children and adults surrounding her. They both didn't have very many options.

Exactly. Aang was the first boy around her age (except for Sokka) Katara had ever met; I'd think she'd want to date at least one other person before settling down forever. Aang had probably met lots of girls (he did travel remember) but he didn't seemed to form relationships with them before.

Katara, as Axrendale pointed out, met MANY other men along her journey. She didn't seem to express any interest in them except for Jet, which phailed.

Exactly. Aang has met many. many girls in his lifetime, (and even came close to having relationships with a couple of them - Onji, and Kokko, perhaps Meng, at a stretch), but none of them did it for him - Katara was his angel, his light, his one true love, etc, etc. Same goes for Katara. She had opportunity for relationships with several nice (and not so nice) guys, among them Zuko. But none of them were right for her. In the end, she and Aang were always meant to be.

I agree they were ment to be in the end, but I don't like the idea of winding up with the first person you have a relationship with.

That really isn't a good reason to dislike Kataang. You shouldn't dislike them for things that they can't change. Do you WANT them to date others and be unhappy? They've found eachother. All of that other stuff is useless and has been avoided.

I don't like Kataang, even though it's my favorite ship involving Aang.
