I'm surprised the idea of Zutara has escalated this much. I mean, even Zutarians knew it was impossible. I commend them for having this much hope.

What do you mean impossible if Aang had taken another hour to get Katara out of the earth cell he would have walked in on them having sex

But there was absolutely not foreshadowing of that event. It was a one time thing. In fact, it was very random. There was also no physical attraction between them. Katara simply sympathized for him because she was in a similar position.

the only reason Zutara didn't work out is because the creators actively blocked alone time between Zuko and Katara before mai was in the picute, in the earth prison they didn't even give half the conversation and as soon and Katara and Zuko start to get close Aang breaks in and him and Katara leave, then Zuko chooses to capture the avatar, Azula almost kills Aang Zuko hooks up with mai, and breaks up when he joins the avatar, Katara still hates him and Mai saved him b4 he made up with Katara, the reason Aang won was because Mai beat Katara not Aang beat Zuko

Again, you persist with this. Could you come up with a different argument? You have no evidence whatsoever that Zuko and Katara would ever have become anything more than friends if they'd been left alone in that cave. Zuko's willingness to go out with Mai suggests that he never felt anything like that for Katara, likewise, there was never any evidence that Katara was affected anymore than having trusted someone and then being betrayed.

What do you mean no evidence, she acted the same way around jet when he came back as she did zuko (only more fierce with zuko) and we all know she liked jet, and the way she put her hand on his face, not to mention the whole ember island player things, hell Aang was shipping Zutara in that one. And Katara wouldn't just offer to use her spirit water because she was sorry about his mom, hell the creators cut out half of the conversation, the creators obviously were suppressing Zutara

Actually, it was very different to Jet. There was no blushing, no obvious attraction, just a few understanding looks and a willingness to try and help him with what she percieved as his problem. Katara does that to everyone. If threatening someone constitutes sexual tension, then ships like Azulaang just gained a lot more credo. How does the fact that she was angry at him when he joined the group mean that she once had romantic feelings for him? The way Katara reacted towards Jet and Zuko was simply the way that she presumably acts towards anyone and everyone who she trusted and was betrayed by.

Yes, she put her hand on Zuko's face. Guess what, she put her hand on Aang's face in exactly the same way one episode later. It's something Katara does during healing sessions.

Aang shipping Zutara in EIP? I must have missed something absolutely massive. The EIP thing was simply Katara bluntly telling Aang that they should concentrate on more important things than romancing. Could her awkwardness possibly have been based off her really wanting iit, and yet knowing that it wasn't the right time? Considering that by the end of the finale she was giving Aang longing looks and making the first move during their kiss, I'd say so.

Katara was going to use her spirit water because she knew it was the only chance of healing Zuko's scar. She wanted to heal Zuko's scar because she sensed that it would be a major step in helping him. The fact that she knew Ba Sing Se was in trouble and they needed allies might also have been a factor.

You claim that the creators were suppressing Zutara. It would appear that there was nothing to suppress.

Katara had no idea azula was going to take over ba sing say she thought it was a trap for Aang, and how hard would it be to say Aang hold on a sec as she healed it, she obviously thought it more then just a friendly gesture

I was seriously craving avatar tonight (it's night here), and I decided to watch some old eps. After watching a couple, I realised why the ending seemed kind of disjointed as far as relationships were concerned. There weren't enough moments where Katara showed her attraction to Aang! The best moment I saw was in "The Headband", where it was HER who was jealous for once! They should've introduced a couple more scenarios near the end of the series to help balance it out more (there was so much room for that sort of thing when all the kids were at the air temple togehter). ah well...KATAANG RULES!

That's what I mean for my complain to the creators and really annoying with a lot of zutara moment...for what??
