accept good sex, and physical attraction, oh and neediness Aang is very needy Katara probably only started dating him cuz she ran out of excuses and didn't want him to break like he did when he ran away and froze himself in the iceberg, dating Aang is Katara's burden so that the world can be at peace |

So basically, we've established that Zutara has sexiness and nothing else. Kataang has everything else, and will be sexy in a few years too. |

My apologies. Once several years have gone by and Kataang has everything + sexiness, Zutara will still be able to claim the sexual tension that I believe was covered in one of the Chaobunny AMVs.

Did it ever hit you that she actually loves him? Your so ignorant to see that Bryke have made up their minds and choosen the shippings they have because each ship belongs together. Besides its a tv show. You can't control the outcome. |

Okay, now you are really just giving Zutarians a bad name. Let's go through you issues:
1: Katara acts like Aangs mother.
Well, yes she does sometimes. She also acts like Sokka's mother, Toph's mother, pretty much everyone's mother. Katara is just a motherly person. We never really got to see it because most of the time prior to the finale that we saw them together Katara hated Zuko's guts, but had they been together long enough, she probably would have treated everyone the same way. far more iimportant than Katara's frequent motherlyness is the times when she did not act like a mother to Aang - again see episodes like "The Cave of Two Lovers", "The Earth King", "The Headband", and all those other moments that we keep citing, and you keep ignoring. Personally, I don't think that Katara's behavior to Aang has been anything approaching motherly since the end of Season 1. Ever since "The Avatar State" her behavior towards him has grown more and more like that of a person who does in fact seeing herself loving someone, but either feels that it isn't the right time, or is worried that the other person isn't interested (personally I think it was a bit of both).
2: Katara cares about Zuko.
I really don't see where you're going with this. Do you really believe that if Sokka, or Toph, or Suki, or Aang had been in Zuko's position Katara would have fought any less harder to save them. I seriously doubt that. Any sexual tension must have been in your imagination, because this is news to the rest of us. I hate to break it to you, but threatening to kill someone does not qualify as sexual tension. Saying that Katara and Zuko would have made out had they been left alone in the cave is so ridiculous that I am seriously starting to wonder if you really believe any of this. At that point it had been only two episodes since Katara started dropping major hints that she liked Aang as more than a friend. There was no romance whatsoever in that scene - Katara was offering to heal the wound of someone who she sensed was in pain, and it is Katara's natural instinct to help people in pain. My guess is that if Katara had healed the wound Zuko would have thanked her profusely and rattled off a number of promises to become a much nicer person. They would have then determined to get out of the cell somehow and stop Azula (kind of like how they interacted in the finale).
It's true that Zuko went to great lengths to make things up with Katara. Could this possibly have been because she had threatened to kill him, and had gotten the message that he had some serious making up to do, and was willing to do it?
3: Katara and The Blue Spirit?
Again with the Chibi thing. Good grief do you realize how ridiculous this makes you and your entire argument look. I'l simply point out that you're wrong - as the Blue Spirit not only did Zuko go an a brief rampage of kleptomaniacism at the begining of B2, but in "Lake Laogi" was once again up to no good - only with Iroh's intervention did Zuko decide to let Appa go, and following that threw his mask into the lake, suggesting that he did not associate the Blue Spirit with his good side.

Kataang is ideal. zutara seeems to be based off of only one thing. i wish more couples we're like kataang. maybe they'd last longer.
but anyway you're right bri, kataang is the cutest most ideal relationship, and zutara based of of sex and physical attraction

of course Katara loves Aang but she acts like his mother so much its ridicules the second they get to the stage were they should start having sex the whole thing is gonna fall apart, and Katara cares about Zuko a lot too (see the finale, how desperately she fought Azula to save Zuko) and there has been so much sexual tension between them, and if Aang and Zuko's uncle hadn't come so soon in the earth finale I'm pretty sure Katara and Zuko would have at least made out, not to mention the lengths Zuko went to, to make it up for her. Oh yea and i figured about a better shipping then Katara and Zuko, Katara and *drum roll* THE BLUE SPIRIT okay yes technically Zuko but every time he's the blue spirit he does somethign good and yes i only thought of this after seeing the school shipping thing on avatar chapters that was hilarious |

2. Let's see after a conversation (most of which the creators left out, probably to force Kataang) in the earth prison Katara offers to use her spirit water to fix Zuko's eye (or rather try) and the way she was touching his eye and stuff she was obviously falling for him. Well for one your missing the fact that Zuko offered the position to help take out Azula to Katara first and she accept without hesitation even though Aang was missing and would probably show up near the fire lord not azula and if someone else would have been with Zuko they would have tried but not that hard or risked that much and probably end up retreating (When Katara froze them azula had a clear shot if she had taken it b4 Katara could freeze or as she was she would be dead) and i'm not certain that Zuko would have taken the lightning for the others not to mention the dialog as she was healing Zuko.
3. that was a joke, and he threw it in the water because he felt he didn't need to hide that part of himself anymore, not because it was evil
If you remember, Katara had a similar moment to the CoD one with Aang in The Awakening (right down to her putting her hand on his face in exactly the same way). The reason that you don't hear Kataangers endlessly ranting about it is because it is one of several fairly minor Kataang moments compared to a number of far greater ones.
Katara did not stress the need to find Aang because Iroh had made it quite clear with his own refusal to face Ozai that it was the Avatar's destiny to face the Firelord by himself. And if we were to overanalyze things, it could be thought that the reason Katara was so eager to face Azula was to get back at her for almost killing Aang in Ba Sing Se.
And you demean the courage of characters like Toph and Sokka by saying that they would have run when Katara stood her ground.

That's convoluted. Zutara isn't just based on sex, i personally think there could be more to it. Sure Kataang is a perfect pairing, and i'm not saying one is better than the other, i'm saying i would have PERFERED to see one of the other. I just always liked Zutara because it seemed theatrical and dramatic.
