    whatever...it's still an awesome ship.

It was never a credible ship. It was fan speculation

she meant awesome in her own opinion, which, admittedly, it is. it's just not better than canon though.

When Zutara can prove that it could have a romantic moment as beautiful as the Kataang one at the end of the finale, I personally will ship it. But the fact is that I think we saw in "Book Four; Air - Forbidden Love" what Zutara would more or less amount to.

Um yea, Katara trusts the guy that was trying to kill her friend for like half a year after a 5 minute conversation in a prison cell and even offers to use her special spirit water to fix his eye when she didn't even use it to save jet, maybe it's just me but that tells me she likes him on some level

Katara's reason's for this were explained away in WAT; with Katara's line that she had felt that Zuko was in pain. Katara is a healer - her natural instict is to help people in pain. Also, the two were down there for a lot more than five minutes. The reason Katara softened up to Zuko was because of their shared loss of their mothers. Her relationship with him (such as it was for five short minutes) could best be compared to her relationship with Haru (and as we found out in the finale, Katara never did have any "secret thing" for Haru).

um yea, Katara never had a secret thing for Haru she went straight at him, it was so obvious, probably a stupid crush or something tho cuz when he reappeared she barely even noticed, and if she's a healer y didn't she heal jet with the spirit water

Who knows? Perhaps she simply didn't know at the time that the water could bring back the dead, and was saving it for something special where she was certain it would work. Perhaps she didn't have it at the time. Perhaps it was simply a direction of the story forced by the writers, who knew that the spirit oasis water was needed later, and simply left it out (in fairness to them, Lake Laogai and Crossroads of Destiny were done by different writers, so it makes sense that some of the details weren't perfectly seamless). Perhaps it was simply fate. My money's on the last one. Katara never used it on Jet for the same reason that Aang and Iroh's arrival stopped her from using it on Zuko - it would be needed for Aang. Indeed that may be yet another piece of shipping symbology inserted by the writers; just as both Jet and Zuko could have used the spirit water, so could they both have been the recipents of Katara's love. But in the end, Aang had the greater need. And the greater love.

It was too late for Jet, simple as that. Remember she has to start healing people right when they get hurt so that it works faster or something like that. Remember she said to Toph "I wish you could've let me work on your feet sooner."

It's called plot. If she would have used the spirit water on Jet, Aang would have stayed dead and it would be the end of the series. She forgot about it for the sake of propelling the plot forward. I know it's a bad way to explain things, but that's pretty much what happened.

it's all a good thing when characters are aware of the storyline xD

Okay i've thought about this and I've come to this conclusion, she didn't use the spirt water on jet cuz she didn't think of it and she wouldn't of thought to use it on Aang if she wasn't about to use it on Zuko, and if Aang died because of Zuko she could never forgive him so she obviously cares about Zuko more cuz he's the only one she thought to use the spirit water on

If that isn't a prime example of the plot-bending ways of Zutarians, I don't know what is.

Your logic is faulty. If she thought to use it on Zuko, she would have thought to use it on Aang. Anyone who thinks that she cared about Zuko more than Aang needs to take a couple of eye and ear tests. It should be born in mind that "The Headband", while seemingly a long time after CoD for us, actually occured just over three weeks after the B2 finale. Since nothing major had happened prior that explains Katara's sudden obvious attraction to Aang, it only makes sense that she had been harbouring feelings for him for some time.

not really, in that episode with that fortune teller she didn't even consider Aang in that way at all, it wasn't until the very end when Sokka mentioned that Aang was a powerful bender that she thought of it in the least, and that was the first time she even thought of it, and the tunnel when she mentioned the kiss thing that was probably just a girl fairytale thing and she woulda done the same thing with zuko probably more aggressively and after that Aang was just like forcing so much and being the nice person that she is probably just didn't have the heart to turn him down and kind of liked him and being betrayed by every other guy she liked probably helped
