hey now, this brings up an interesting moment i had in target while perusing the DVD section today. a boy 7-8 years old, picks up a random DVD and nearly has an orgasm from looking at it.

Someone else at another avatar forum is getting an early shipment, too. I don't know how I feel about it, because I know spoilers will be flying around like there's no tomorrow. And I'm not sure I want to be spoiled just yet. Actually, all i want to know is who Katara ends up with. That way all these stupid shipping wars will finally calm down at least a little bit. To the point where we won't be ripping each other to shreds. |

I have a feeling that it'll get even worse ^^ |

WTF?! I preordered from Barnes and Noble, and my status says it hasn't been shipped yet! Weird... |
Nice sig. Its not everyday you meet a fan of twilight.

Isn't this that book for kids (till the age of 12) that only tells the action and not the entire story? Or am I thinking of something else? |

Same questions... This is stupid. I mean, spoilers are nice in small doses- I think the fandom is getting a bigger overdose just from a children's book. I don't think they'd add everything in the book, but I'm fearing the ending won't be much astray, as with the shipping. *agrees with one comment on that journal* *Dai Li agent voice* There are no spoilers on the internets... |

Nah...because there's proof and finality, one of the two major shippers (whether it be Kataang or Zutara) won't be able to say that their shipping will happen, simply because the show's already over. Sure, we'll still be at each others' throats, but since we already would know how everything turns out, we can only go so far with certain arguments. *shrug* I dunno, though. With this fandom, things can easily get out of control. |
Ok, what should we do when the book comes out? Post spoilers? Or should we wait?
I'd rather have the community agree on a course of action on this than every single noob post spoilers repeatedly.

Well, while we are deciding, here are a few things to consider:
1. It's not written by Mike or Bryan.
2. It's an adaptation.
3. According to the decription, it will be first-person narratives and the narrating character will change chapter-by-chapter.
4. It will have a Q&A section with Mike and Bryan.
Going by this, I'm saying no, unless the interview section contains spoilers, I don't think the book should be taken as the outcome for the battle or the shipping.
Seriously, even if there is a ten minute make-out scene between Zuko and Katara in which they confess their undying love for each other, I'm still not going to take it as legit.
