Nickelodeon (ended 2008)

I wouldn't freak out too much. And the title should be amended with "potential spoilers..." because there's no telling how the book ends. It could be complete filler to promote the finale. Like everyone's thoughts and feelings before the finale battle. Maybe some insight into Azula's pre-adulthood demntia or the private thoughts of Fire Lord Ozai. I doubt it's anything soul crushingly spoiler filled. I mean Nick can't be that stupid to commission someone to write and release a book detailing the end of a show mere months before the show even ends? Can they? |

Oh god...
Yeah after all of this build-up for three freakin' years and 20 zillion months of varied hiatus periods, I too, feel I must wait and see it as Mike and Bryan last touched it.
I don't think devouring the spoilers from a book will be nearly as satisfying as sitting on the edge of your seat for the 2-hour series finale with tissues in hand.
It's kind of like saying goodbye to a very dear friend, you really want those last moments to be meaningful and filled with dignity, not dashed off in a rush.
Or for it to be anything less than what it meant to you in the first place.
I mean why are we all here? We fell in love with Avatar. We are in a 'love relationship' with Mike and Bryan's artwork.
Simply reading or seeing all of the plot outcomes on paper without breathing in the animation of the Avatar world would be anti-climatic, wouldn't it?

What?! No!!! Tha-that's not cool!! What the hell?! I'm going to have to isolate myself from anything avatar related now!!! Damn you Nick!! Even when the show is almost finished you still manage to screw us over one last time!!! DAMN YOU!!!!!

Yes. They can. It's been proven 100 times over.

I find it amusing that we're using swan-swan's dA journal as the definitive evidence.

Extremely anti-climatic. I agree with you 100%. I love Avatar to death, and I do look at little spoilers, but to spoil the finale, which is the end of avatar essentially, seems so =( to me. Which pretty much means no more tv.com for me. Because although it isn't always intentional, a lot of spoilers end up in the titles of some of the topics, or in topics that forget to put warnings up.

Yea, the more I come to these forums, the more I'm thinking that I might have to do something else for a while. At least until the actual finale. Though, I'll not come on for like two or three days, but will come back again. I'm just that cool..

God diehard purists will avoid Avatar fansites like the plague if that book even begins to unveil the sacred mysteries of the series finale. But jeez it almost has to doesn't it? I mean I have never read anywhere where Mike and Bryan said any of the Avatar books weren't canonized. I would be shocked if this was an 'alternate finale' ending. I mean what would be the point? Who cares what Joe Smoe ghost writer thinks. We want the Bryke ending. Ugh. This is a pickle. |
that whole tihng gave me quite a few chuckles.
and i agree full heartedly.

If it turns out the book does spoil the finale, expect me gone from the Avatar forum for a while. |
