let's "pretend" that the monks of THE AVATAR WORLD are like the Buddhist monks of our world, and all monks are bachelor and celibate first the creators have stated that ALL AIR PEOPLE are airbenders, they didn't say most, nor did they say that some air people had no bending powers; they said ALL air people have bending power second, airbender people must be having children in order for the airbenders to continue living for many centuries(look how many statues of past avatars were in the south temple in book 1 episode ) everything seems to point out to the fact that all young air people were sent in their youth to the temples to be trained, and most probably after they finish training, they return to live outside of the temples, and a lot if not all the airbenderds that decided to be teachers in the temples seem to return to the temples to teach after they are older than 35, but for the purpose of the thinking that monks are bachelors and celibate, let's "pretend" that the monks are airbenders who decide to stay at the temples when they reach 16, and not to marry nor have sex WHAT MAKES EVERYONE ASSUME THAT AANG WOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO BE A MONK? if it had not been for Sozin Aang would have been told he was an avatar when he was 16(the minimum age for the 4 nations people to be engaged and married as demonstrated by Yue) at 16 he would have to leave the temple, and gone most probably to the north water tribe to be taught by a waterbender at about 18 or 19, he would have gone to an earthbender, maybe Bumi(BTW Buhmi in indian language means earth element) at about 20 to 22, he would have gone to a firebender(maybe Kuzon? ) after that he would have gone to a guru or priest to learn to control the avatar state after he had finished that, we have to remember that he would have the responsibility of the avatar duties. And "pretending" that monks are celibate and bachelors for life, Aang would have to chose either being a monk, or not be a monk and get married and form a family let's "Assume" that Aang had chosen being a monk when he was 23, by the time he had gone to a guru to master the Avatar state, in order to "master the 7th chakra" he has to be unattached from his earthly attachments, what if his earthly attachment is a desire to being a monk? or what if his earthly attachment was the same as Kuruk, and he had a love to show off his powers? I hope now you can see more easily that being unattached while reaching the avatar state doesn't mean giving that attachment for life if it is something good (like a honest and real love, or being a monk)but sometimes it can be good not to just being unattached while seeking the avatar state, but give it up(as in the case of loving showing off)completly

    OMG THATS LONG!

    and pretty good.

I too can't stand it when people think that Aang gave up on Katara. Its bullcrap

that i didnt no ...........then it pretty much blows our argument outta the water

    Nice new argument there

true, but Zutarians use that because it's the first peaceful connection between Zuko and Katara in the cave in CoD. As far as Aang losing monk gyatso and company, it's just one of many similarities between the two. But, c'mone, he's BALD!! Seriously, who likes seeing a skinny white kid who thinks he's asian with a bald head and loose robes reach up on his tippy-toes just so his lips can reach a hot, oriental chick's lips??
Oh and did I say hot? Great. Just great. Now you people have infected me! I have used a word of physical attraction on an animated 14-yr.old!! They are too young for ANYone to be 'checking out'!! URGH!!

They are too young to do anything 'smexy' I'm not saying Zutarians think that, (they make them older..) but um, people sometimes are a little out of hand...

You, Zutara is still running, it isn't dead, we don't know if Katara loves Aang the same way, and we still have 9 episodes left. It didn't fall down to the floor!

But it had been falling since zuko rejected katara in CoD.

That's right, just a simple discussion that kataang is going to happen. Beside in only 9 episodes zutara doesn't have enough time to have a relationship

The cease of fire dont apply to me, I dont celebrate it, and 9 episodes is enough to develop a relationship, its not an entire season, but I'm sure Katara have a crush on him, plus they already know each other, as well as she knows Aang's past.

All we can say, is that Zutara will certainly rise, I know it will happen, sooner, that all Kataangs could tough. In 2 episodes, they can realy develop Zutara more deeper, the 311, about Zuko joining the gaang and gaining their trust, 312, Zuko and Katara sharing some moments. I keep saying that katara dont feel the same toward Aang, its obvious to me.

Zutara is not going to happen, i don't even understand why people are still doing this to themselves. This is just going to end up in even disappointment for them.

I'm not even counting the fact that Pooldude (dude who basically knows everything) and his right hand man Dylan confirmed that Zutara's not going to happen and that Dee Bradley Baker (one of the Avatar Staff) said Zutara wasn't going to happen at the comic con back in July
