Well I think it in materal. They all know Mai is now an enemy of the Fire Nation, and more pacifcly an enemy of Azula. The old saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and I don't think the gAang with the few free allies they have, are going to be picky on reasoning.
I am not saying she would join the gAang, but I am just it is easier for Mai to gain their trust than it is for Ty Lee.

Yea oke I agree that she can join them more easily, but i think her character isn't like that. So she could, but she won't. I guess we agree |
Why didn't Iroh go to the Boiling Rock? Or that lady (forget her name) in The Puppetmaster? Iroh was a huge traitor and the woman was a captive from the Water Tribe? It doesn't say exactly where she was held, but the fact that she was able to just walk out suggest she probably wasn't in the Boiling Rock prison.

I don't think that Ty-lee and Mai are going to join the ggang until the end, because that would require more episode time being devoted to their escape from where ever Azula puts them, and there isn't much time for that until the end. |
It probably end up being a Jet-like thing. They die and Mike and Bryan will announce it, but, because it's a kid's show, we'll never actually see the bodies.

Plot twist? I'll agree that it was a surprise to see Ty Lee turn, but everyone knew that Mai would help Zuko escape (although none predicted that badassary that she would do it with).
Plus, at the end, Katara seemed to have feelings for Jet again and he died.

One important speculation: could the giant firebending guy( don't know how to spell his name) be one of the Southern Raiders, or at least he had info about the incident with Katara and Sokka's mother. |
i dont think so because sokka's dad would recognize him. and also why would he be in jail if he led such a successful mission into the southern water tribe?

The same reason Benedict Arnold is considered a traitor.
Good episodes. Nice action sequences. Though it didn't really feel like a TV movie like DoBS or SotN or SotFN. It just felt like a long episode. Also my major quirk with The BR is the scene where Sokka thrusts his sword at Azula (no innuendo intended) and just stops.
Azula was backed into a corner (and by corner I mean ledge) where she had nowhere to go and no way to dodge and he just stops. There was a good 2 second pause where he could have either stabbed her or sent her plummeting. Was this an act of mercy and compassion or a clunky animation mistake?

I don't know why Iroh wasn't sent to the Boiling Rock prison, but as for Hama, the prison might not have been in existance yet when she was captured. |
