    Actually, Aang is (1)12, so, if he died at the age of (1)96 then that means that 84 years after the events he died, and the new avatar would be of the normal age of 16.

    Gah, I forgot about that they tell the avatar at age 16. Math is not my best subject. Unless, this avatar ends up being told at a younger age as well.
    Wait, I just thought of something. If this series will take place a hundred years later, do you think Sozin's Comet will be important again? Maybe the series could started with Sozin's Comet, just to get that out of the way. It could introduce Korra's wisecracking deaf firebending teacher with scars over both her eyes who uses a flaming boomerang!
    Best character ever, right?

    Anyone else want to see some characters at an old age like Katara (remember she dies when her 3rd great grandchild is born) and Toph (like she would die young)?

    right now i think everything we are hearing is rumored. i have not heard ANY confirmed bits of this show. i would be really interested in any stuff you have to show me that states otherwise,but until bryke tells us more or some certified site tells me the facts, i am not believing anything lol

    Well if it is going to be about a new avatar. Then At least we will see Ang when they talk to their past lives, maybe a much older Ang but yea.

    It was Avatar Kuruk and Ummi was the girlfriend, Koh was the spirit's name. According to the avatar wiki,(I assume they got the info from that spirit world game)she was taken on their wedding night as they were walking to the altar. So Koh is just cold, man. Speaking of Koh, I hope he'll be in the new series, seeing as he promised to meet the avatar again but never did. Meeting a future Avatar still counts though.

    Hey, that brings up another possible plot point for the show. The "bad guy" doesn't have to be human this season. It could be Koh.

    I like the idea of seeing some of the characters will be in the show as they are, as well, as flashbacks. Bumi was 112 and Guru Pathik was like 130 and Kyoshi lived to be over 200 so it's possible the Gaang could live as long as them. Maybe Korra will visit some of the old cast and that's how we'll get flashbacks. I can see her being invited to the fire lord's palace and instead of meeting the fire lord, she'll meet his father who let his son take over. He'd be very old but dignified, and she'll notice the scar over his eye. But he'd offer her some tea, maybe mentioning that his uncle used to make it so much better, and then he'd tell her that he knew her in another life... her past life.

    Oh, and maybe some of the old cast would've been inducted into the order of the white lotus, in case OWL gains more importance. I know they didn't show any women but I could see them letting Toph in, just because. Zuko's practically a given because of Iroh, and Sokka would probably get in because of Piandao.

    I hope we get some info soon, because all of this speculation is exhausting.
