Oh yes, a spinoff would be quite lovely. I just believe that the gaang's adventure has ended. But I would sell my liver to see what they are like when they are older!

I wouldnt sell my liver on it
Yeah... that's kinda going a little over board.

    It's an expression. -_-

I'm thinking we should just leave the discussion of Koh for the minisodes. definetely, something will be shown about him during those.

Anyways, learning more about Koh would be pretty awesome.[/QUOTE]

Gilvatar, leave the changing of the posts to the change the posts game (which i created and is frankly not getting all the attention it deserves.) right now we need to discuss the petition, and how we hate it (unless someone else still wants a seaosn 4 instead of a spinoff series. honestly, right now the spinoff series is the best bet we've got.

hello welcome to the avatar the last airbender forums
i'm afraid that your idea of making a petition wont work. the creators don't want to continue the current show. they are however thinking of doing a spinoff. but they have not confirmed it. they are currently working with the producer of the happening on 3 live action movies that wont be very good. not when you compare it to the actual show.

Koh probably will have some sort of importance in the spinoff, or maybe even the minisodes. who knows?

I would be interested in a prequel series. Maybe one about Roku growing up and mastering the elements. I want to know Roku from the moment he found out he was the avatar, to him mastering the elements, to the beginning of the war, to his death, to Sozin's Comet arriving (Sozin wipes out the Air Nomads). Although we already know a lot about Roku, it would still be interesting. And then after that show would be over, there would be another one about Kyoshi and how she mastered the elements, and when she faces Chin the Conqouror.

i'd like better a future series, seeing how they cope without airbending.

Don't flatter yourself. In the game of love for Azula, you were never even a player

(cookies if you get the reference, which you probably will).

That is an easy quote. She says it to Long Feng during the CoD.

He probably wants you to stop quoting it because it makes it look like he said something he didn't, so you probably should stop.

Personally I like the idea of the first Avatar. Maybe we'd meet Oma as the earthbending master.

That's what I've been thinking since there's really no story to continue during/after Aang's era. The producers said there will not be a book 4. But i would just stop at Roku not to make the series too ongoing.

This, or the story of what happens to Azula. I know the first is more likely, but the latter is definitely the one that wins my vote.

Seriously though, perhaps the single biggest problem of a new series, spin-off or otherwise, is the problem of a villain. Try as they might, I don't think that even Bryke and the writers will ever be able to reproduce the work of art that was Azula's character. The best measure for heroes is who their enemies are, and the fact is that Azula was (in my humble, crazed opinion) the best villain ever to terrorize heroes of an epic legend since Darth Vader. Actually, strike that - for me at least Azula exceeds Darth vader in so many ways that the Dark Lord of the Sith is easily put in the shade.

I totally agree. Azula's character is a masterpiece. She's the villain you would absolutely love to see triumphant. I feel sorry for her, especially after witnessing a simple peasant girl defeat the true and only Fire Lord. If there is a season 4, I want to see Azula bust out of rehab/nuthouse, journey the world, make her own gang, wreak havoc in the Earth Kingdom, and seek vengeance to all (and add a bit of romance...A Fire Nation royalty fall in love with a handsome & powerful Earth Bender peasant who just recently joined her gang of thugs). But come to think of it, this would no longer be a kids show if that happens.

I'm sure the only time we'll ever hear about Azula again is in the mini-episodes (if they exist). I don't think, in the new series, that they should have a specific villain. I want the villain to be in the minds of the people. I would prefer something along the lines of...

A young, Water Tribe girl is the heir to her fathers throne. The whole world has banished benders because of the threat they pose to non benders and people consider them to be "freaks". The girl, let's call her Jane , is a strong believer of that idea. Her family is one of the key players in keeping benders isolated and in prisons (similar to the prisons that Hama was in).
Jane one day discovers that she can bend water. She stumbles across that skill with a Harry Potter esque thing. She was in danger and quickly acted out. Appalled, she tries to bring up the subject with her dad (in a hypothetical case, of course) and he quickly reassures her that anyone found to be a bender, no matter who, would be locked up.

Jane is scared for her life and runs away. On her journey away from home, she meets benders in hiding and learns that they aren't the bad people she's grown to know. Eventually, she changes her beliefs.

It is now Jane's duty to teach the people of the world that the benders aren't bad people.
She plans on making a gathering and showing her father that benders aren't bad, but other plans are made. Some rogue benders in the group decide that, in secrecy, while we're visiting Jane's father they should attack the Water Tribe from the inside and take revenge on the people.

Jane now has to prevent that attack AND show her father that benders can be civilized.
I'm not sure how Jane discovers she's the Avatar, maybe accidentally entering the Avatar state? But yeah. I think that plot would be interesting because the peoples' minds are the real enemy here. There is no Ozai or Fire Nation. There's no specific pin point of a villain. Also, to see her trying to find bending teachers will be fun to watch. I mean, everyone knows her as the daughter of a bender-opposer. Why wouldn't they be scared? So she also has to struggle with that. It's very Zuko-esque, but I think it's different enough to be a god series. Comments?

An actual 4th season, as said so many times, is not a good idea. The only purpose it would serve would be to give the fans more animation of the characters. I personally feel that rumored "mini-episodes" would be a fine idea. Don't literally continue the story; just show us some post-war stuff.
