General Scorch (Fire Bender)

Scorch had just informed Rin about the tournement

Rin and Scorch began to train for the tournement, when Scorch got a thought.

"Wait a second," said Scorch as he examined the flyer again, "this thing sounds like its an underground tournement."

"Yeah, so?" asked Rin as she switched from doing push-ups to doing sit-ups.

"Well, if this things underground, why should we hesitate to use our fire bending?" asked Scorch, "chances are high most of the spectators are wanted criminals and wouldn't dare to report us in fear of getting caught."??

"Hmm, so, what should we do?" asked Rin.

"Well, I think this would be a perfect opportunity to test your skills," said Scorch, "just to see how well you bend in combat. You'd be surprised how different your bending could be when your fighting."

"Oh, I gotcha," said Rin as she stopped and sat up, "but, this things at night, right? Won't my bending be weaker?"

"Yeah, but not enough for you to notice a HUGE difference," said Scorch.

"Fine, it seems like its getting late though," said Rin, "should we head toward the village?"

"Probably," said Scorch. They headed down the village and looked for the club and saw a man selling masks.

"Masks, get your wooden masks here!" exclaimed the man, "one copper piece only!" Scorch stopped an pulled out two copper pieces.

"What are you doing?" asked Rin, "those are our last two pieces, don't spend them."

"Think about it," said Scorch, "we need disguises, just in case someone DOES get the guts to report us, we'd be in trouble. But, with those masks..."

"They wouldn't recognize us!' Rin finished his sentence, "alright." The turned around and went to the cart. "Wow, so many masks," she said, "which one should I pick?" Scorch picked up a black one, that seemed to??be made of metal.

"Hey, I thought you said these were wooden," said Scorch.

"I did, oh well," said the man, "one copper piece still." Scorch examined the mask. It was black and didn't seem to have eye holes. it had two strange, flame-shaped horns on the top left and top right corners.

"Okay, that sounds fair," said Scorch as he gave the man the copper piece. Rin picked up a similar one that was blue and white.

"Oh, I like this one," said Rin, "and it matches yours! I'll take it!" Scorch gave the man their last copper piece. Rin and Scorch didn't put the helmets on, yet, and looked for the club. Scorch looked at the flyer again and noticed a small symbol at the corner. He saw a sign with the??same symbol on it.

"I think this is it," said Scorch, "let's go in." Scorch and Rin went into the building. It was a bar and their was a bartender, and the room was empty.

"What do you want?" asked the bartender. Scorch looked at the flyer.

"falco," said??Scorch.

"Oh, aren't you two a little young to do this?" asked the bartender, "oh well, who am I to judge?" He stomped on the ground and the floor opened to reveal a stairway. Rin and Scorch went down it??into the depths and heard crowds cheering. They approached a desk and put the masks on.

"Can I help you?" asked the old lady at the desk.

"We wish to participate in the tournament," said Scorch. He was surprised his voice was different.

"Okay, what's your name?" she asked. Scorch was curious and said:

"Rampage."

"Sorry, thats already taken," said the lady.

"Ravage," said Scorch.

"Ravage?"??she asked, "okay. And what about your friend?"

"Kin," said Rin.

"Okay, I have you both down," said the lady, "wait in the waiting area behind me until you hear you name called." Scorch and Rin, went into the waiting area.

"Scorch," said Rin, "what was with the fake names?"

"It was for our protection," said Scorch,??"and keep in mind that I'm fire nation."??????

"Oh right," said Rin. They both waited in a room with some questionable looking people, but no Rampage.

"Good," said Scorch, "it seems we won't have to fight eachother."

"Why?" asked Rin.

"Look at the board," said Scorch as he pointed to a rock board that already had their names chizzled in. They were both on side B, and they saw Rampage was on side A. They waited for their names to be called....

Scorch had just made his first victory in the arena

The crowd settled down and the anouncer called two other names

"The next two to fight are," said the announcer, "Reno and Kin."

"Well, it looks like you're up next," said Scorch, "good luck. And I'll be watching from the audience."

"Thanks," said Rin. She walked out to the arena and was met by a larger earth bender in hard armor.

"Okay, you know the rules," said the announcer, "ready?" They both nodded. "Fight!" Reno started by turning the earth she was standing on into quicksand, forcing her to stand still. She hurled a ball of fire at Reno, but Reno rolled out of the way and hurled a small rock at her. Rin forced fire from her feet and broke free from the quicksand and dodged the rock. Rin fired more fire at Reno, hitting his armor three times. It cracked severly and fell of Reno, revealing a fat man. Reno yelled out:

"Okay, Okay!" he exclaimed, "I quit!" Rin smiled and landed on the ground and went back into the area, hearing the announcer yell:

"The winner is: Kin!" Rin noticed Scorch in the audience. Scorch met Rin in the room.

"Not bad," said Scorch, "not bad at all. You have officially passed your test."

"Yay!" said Rin. Scorch and Rin waited for either of their names to be called again.

"Please welcome out next contendors," said the announcer, "Rampage and Savage!"

Rampage (Gigantic Axe)

Rampage had just been called to fight his oppenet, Savage.??

Rampage walked out from side A and saw his oppenet. He was about 6"6' and had two gigantic claw-like weapons on his hands that had three claws (two on his knuckle and one on his thumb) each were made of iron and were about four feet long. Rampage and Savage both met in the middle and the announcer looked at them.

"Okay, you two know the rules," he said, "get ready..." He ran away from them, "FIGHT!" Rampage took out his axe and swung at Savage, that jumped over it and landed on the blade, starring at Rampage's eyes. Rampage took his fist and pulled it back, ready to punch Savage off. Savage striked Rampage in the chest with his claw, cutting him, and jumped off the axe blade. Rampage stepped back and quickly regained his balance and lunged at Savage and grabbed him by the throat and lifted him into the air.

"Hmm," said Rampage, "your pain is lovely, but where is your terror?"

"Miserable bug," said Savage. He struck Rampage in the gut, forcing Rampage to throw him on the ground.

"Argh!" exlciamed Rampage in pain. He marched toward Savage and swung his axe down, but stopped. he suddenly got an excited look on his face and stopped.

"I quit," said Rampage as he pulled his axe back.

"Um, okay," said the announcer, "the winner is Savage!" The crowd hesitated to cheer this time, but they did. Savage stood up and notcied Rampage had gone into the B side, the same side Savage had to go back into. Savage walked back into the area. Scorch and Rin had watched the performance.

"I don't like this," said Rin.

"Neither do I," said Scorch, "I don't like this at all."

***A few moments later***

Savage walked into the hall connecting the room with the arena and saw Rampage waiting for him.

"What do you want?" asked Savage.

"I liked your erformance out there," said Rampage, "oh, how rude of me. The names Rampage of the Fire Nation Army."

"Fire Nation?" asked Savage, "what do you want?"

"I need a second in command for my ship, and I think your perfect for the job," said Rampage, "what do you think?"

"What's in it for me?" asked Savage.

"Hmm, you get a home of the Fire Nation," said Rampage, "and, all the food you can eat."

"Okay, I'm in," said Savage.

"Perfect," said Rampage, "okay, here's the plan...."

Scorch had just been called in the arena to fight Savage.

Scorch walked into the arena and saw the blood on Savage's weapons still dripping with blood. The announcer approached them.

"Okay," said the announcer, "you both know the rules. FIGHT!" Scorch fired a stream of??fire at Savage, but he ducked and rolled out of the roll. Scorch jumed back to avoid an attack that never came. Scorch fired another stream of fire at Savage, but Savage just rolled out of the way.

"What are you doing?" asked Scorch.

"Running out the clock," said Savage as he came in close and knocked Scorch over. Scorch wasn't injured, but Savage just hit him hard enough to knock him over.

"Running out the clock?" asked Scorch, "what are you talking about?" Scorch heard a feminine scream and turned around.

"That," said Savage. He jumped over Scorch and ran out of the arena. Scorch already knew what was happening and raced after Savage. They left the club and Savage ran into a barn. Scorch followed and saw Savage standing there, waiting for him.

"Scorch, do you want you're girlfriend back?" he asked, "turn yourself in!" Scorch groaned and knew that he had no way out of this that wouldn't result in Rin's death. He knew though that Rampage was smart enough to keep his barginning chip in place and wouldn't kill her.

"Argh!" exclaimed Scorch, "fine."

"Good, he did say you were smart," said Savage, "now hold still..." Savage took out some oddly shaed restraints. Savage hooked his arms and waist in it, having his hands pressed agains his back.

"Hmm, maybe Rampage is smarter than I thought," said Scorch. Savage took Scorch to the docks and onto Rampage's ship and up to his quarters. Rampage was sitting in a chair and had Rin in similar restraints.

"Scorch!" exclaimed Rin. Rampage but a cloth in her mouth.

"Ah, Scorch," said Rampage, "I see you've decided to join us. Please, sit down." Savage pushed Scorch down on a chair. "Now, I think you know how this will work. You agree to come back with me to see my lord and master, and the girl goes free."

"How could I trust you?" asked Scorch.

"You have my word," said Rampage.

"And that's worth about what?" asked Scorch, "half a copper piece?"

"Silence," said Rampage, "so, do we have a deal or don't we?"

"Ugh, unfortunately," said Scorch, "I have no choice. I surrender." Rin shook her head signifying no.

Rampage laughed, "perfect, Savage!" snapped Rampage, "take these two to the cell."

"What!?" asked Scorch, "I thought you were going to let her go?"

"Oh, well, you know my word isn't worth S**t" said Rampage. He removed the cloth from Rin's mouth. Savage took Scorch and Rin down to the jail cell and threw them inside.
