Tell me about it . If my reaction to seeing the movie trailer will be anything like my reaction to seeing the S3 trailer then I am going to get some seriously weird looks.

    btw,nice idea

Ugh, not this again (someone made an issue out of this in another thread). The fact that the kid's Greek shouldn't matter. As long as he's can portray Sokka well, that's all that counts. Not railing on you specifically. I'm just tired of hearing this.

To be honest I really can't picture anybody who isn't Asian to have a main role in this movie so not to sure a greeek guy would play Sokka

I'm a little confused here is this Ether Brent guy really confirmed to play Sokka?? Because i thought they weren't confirmed. And has anybody heard of any other names besides him and the Aang guy. I would think they would have some other people by now since filming begins in June??

    "Dear prospective actor/actress,

Thanks for your interest in the Avatar: The Last Airbender auditions.
There is only one method of auditioning - sending (attaching) resumes with an image (and preferably video footage audtion) via e-mail. Documents NOT attached will NOT be accepted!
If you choose to send your resume you will be notified of the decision and an invitation to attend the closed casting calls later in November.
All U.S citizens as well as International prospectives are invited to participate, however, participants must think realistically as Auditions will take place in Los Angeles, California.

Only e-mails with the subject line Resume in verbatim will be open, checked, and replied.

    News regarding specific character auditions:

There's has been constant awareness and enquires regarding the current nature of the production. Scriptwriting is in pre-production stage, while a few actors/actresses have indeed already been attached for certain roles including Aang, Katara, and Sokka. However, since these roles are currently in the negotiation stage, it is not guranteed. We encourage you all to audition despite these negotiations.

    News regarding Agents:

As the film seeks to highlight new talent, an agent is not required, however, the attainment of one could possibly higher your success. No Guarentee! Overall, the concept of representation will not hinder your chances.

    News regarding pre-requisite skills:

Although dexterity within specific or branched fields of Martial Arts would be beneficial and advantageous in the filming process, prior skills besides fluent English is not required.

    News regarding Audition Tapes:

As we seek to highlight new talent, it is recommended that the audition tapes be crafted with creativity and spontaneity. There are no established guidelines to follow by. Give us your details, act out your personality, and the rest will flow.

    News regarding filming locations:

Filming for the adaptation will be shot in New Zealand, China, Rome, and the United States. These locations have not yet been fully confirmed.

    Thanks for your interest.

Make everything official. You're dealing with professionals, agents, and literate people. You can't afford to make a mistake. You are first judged by literacy, second by your posture, third by your looks(compared to characters), and fourth by your experience. This is the way they judge in the acting business. Send videos, I'm assuming, but do it in an area that isn't too revealing. Review the video to check for the four things I mentioned above. You can always, ALWAYS go over a video before sending it. Also, act natural. You'll be suprised by how many people act tense and uptight. If you even have a chance, you should act as who you are, but be proper!!

There's no evidence for the filming to begin in June. They probably wont get to the actual filming until 2009 which will give them plenty of time to finish before the 2010 release date.

Yeah they are filming mid-2008 (so maybe June)

"I hear that just about every large building in the area is being scouted by M. Night Shyamalan, who needs four or five huge soundstages in mid-2008 when he starts shooting the first of three Avatar live-action films for Paramount."

well this doesn't seem very authentic to me, due to the various spelling errors. ("audtion, guranteed, guarentee"?) Would a professional casting agency make those kinds of mistakes? I don't know, but what does everyone else think? What about you, DrAvatar? OR BETTER YET, what about you, oh wise one?

I tried to email the address above^ (creativeartistsagency@hotmail.com) and the message failed. It said the address didn't exsist or something. Then I tried it without the "s" in artists and I didn't even get the automated response back.
