Just curious to know around the time we'll be able to know the castings.

i think since they film in sprng 2009, they will have the cast readied by mid-winter 2009, late January, early February, because the crew needs time to get into character and read the script correctly, etc.

Lets hope. At least January/February isn't TOO long of a wait. I REEEAALLLYYY can't wait to see who the cast is Do you think they will MAKE the actor for Aang go bald? Or let him keep his hair?

maybe they will make him wear a tight hat with an arrow...

I'm sure they'll either make him shave his head or use a bald cap. If you're going to be in a movie for 9 months, you'd better be dedicated enough to get a hair cut.

I don't know... i wouldn't be surprised if Aang wasn't bald. The only thing they really NEED to do is give him the tattoo's. But I wouldn't mind either way

But the Star Wars fans also had tons of EU... I'm sure there'll be plenty of that for the die-hard avatar fans but a casual viewer would rather shrug off the MMO (unless that got major publicity + decent reviews) and the fact also remains that A New Hope was the highest grossing film ever around that time. There were way more fans of that then there are current fans of Avatar. At best, some of the people who watched Sozin's Comet and are first-time viewers will say "WHOA DATS AMAZING" and proceed to watch the early series and then become die-hard fans, but I'm doubting that....

It's true that simply having all of the original fans going to see the movie is not going to be nearly enough - we have to hope that Bryke and Shyamalan produce an epic masterpiece that will attract hordeds of new fans. I'm just saying, the original fans can and will hold out. As long as the movie is epic and gets advertized properly everything should turn out swimmingly.

as long as they don't leave anything to nick it should get proper treatment for once.

Did any of you read the tryout script for Aang? It looks like we might have a couple of new, small things thrown in to the movie!

    Go to this page http://www.thelastairbendercasting.com/how_to_apply.php
Then, go down to Aang Sides-Script, and you will get all of the lines for the audition!

Yes and all those 61 episodes are fantabulous

Okay every time my nephew watches iCarly, I see Freddie as Aang... I don't know why but i think he would be good for the role. I know he's a Nickelodeon actor but he's the only person i can imagine playing Aang. He's so freakin adorable! (imo)

    DON'T KILL ME!!! lol
