HA awesome, LeShawna getting mad at Duncan for bullying Harold, that should start something soon |
I had thought Gwen and Trent being team captains might mean they'd stay in the game late into the season. Now we know that's not the case. So Gwen likely isn't any more safe.
Trent's 9 obsession seems to have come completely out of left field. But I can't help but wonder if he's gone in part because the writers just couldn't come up with much more for him other than being Gwen's boyfriend.
Speculation that Justin might be the main antagonist this season seems to be coming true. Heather has been sidelined the past couple of episodes. I wonder if we might not see her out in the next couple of episodes.

So anyone wanna explain why Leshawna had an afro in this episode... |
Wow where to begin?
So that is the reason LaShawna got the afro. Is just me or was there a reference to 6teen with Lindsay reguest to go to the mall.
Trent got lucky last week, and still didn't stop throwing challenges, that would be his death nail. Even if they didn't think he was throwing challenges, causing your team to lose, puts yourself in jepordy. Evil Justin returns again, he is already plotting his way. Trent was going to be voted off anyway, he was plotting against Gwen already, he is thinking ahead. He might try to minipulate the other team in future votes. Even Heather didn't do that last season, unless you count the talent show when she tried to turn Courtney and Bridgette against each other.
Speaking of which, some more Heather karma, and I loved it that Beth got some revenge.
Did Duncan compare Courtney to a bear? Can't say I disagree, she is scarry when she is mad. That makes her great.
The first breakup of the season, Trent and Gwen break up, is not really a surprise. Obviously they are the rollicoaster couple of the series.
But while one love connection ends, a new one begins, I am looking at you Justin and Owen. Though it is doomed to fail, we all know Justin is in love with himself.
I just realised something, Justin has total control of his team. Look at who is left on the Gripps. Beth, Lindsay, and Owen, all of them members of the Justin fan club. So until the merge, he is prime position not to worry about anything.
Though I would like to know, what Gwen owes the Gripps. Probably to throw the next challenge for them, which is also a scheme to get the Gaphers to turn against Gwen.
Another thing, they might be setting up a Duncan / Courtney vs Harold / LaShawna rivalory. If that is the case, than Heather is very expendable, if Courtney takes her place as LaShawna's rival. Though as much as I love Courtney, it is never going to duplicate the LaShawna / Heather rivalory.
Though I think LaShawna objection to Harold's being picked on by Duncan, is because LaShawna is the serve of justice or enforcer of the cast. When someone is unjustly being picked on or hurt by someone, she is going to do something about it. She did that last season when Heather did mean stuff to the others, like help Beth shoot the paint balls at Heather, or get revenge for Gwen after Heather successful plotted to break Gwen and Trent up. She might serve some more justice against Justin if she is still around when he eventully breaks Beth's heart. I hope somebody does.
If you look at the remaining Grips, unless Beth and Lindsay have a major falling out, which could happen, than Owen is the next Grip to go. The way things are now, by process of elimination, no one is voting off Justin, Beth and Lindsay are not voting off each other, which leaves Owen the odd man out.
But I think the Grips will win the next two elimination challenges, to even things out. Besides Gwen is probably going to thrown the next challenge, that is what Justin meant by "owing them".

What, no preview of episode 6? With Duncan revealing that he knows what Harold did, I can see this turning into a major issue in the next episode, spliting the Gaffers apart, leading to their loss for that episode, at which point one or the other would get voted out to solve the problem; but if Gwen is seriously demoralized by what happened with Trent, she might try to walk on their first loss, leaving the Ducnan/Harold rivalry to last a bit longer.
Here's how I think the rest of the team will react when they find out about Harold's cheating.
Gwen: Probably won't care, too hurt by what happened in this episode, though I figure she'd side with Duncan, perhaps equating Harold's cheating with Heather's tricks, to which she bore the brunt of.
LeShawna: Seems to be siding with Harold, and the show might use this to wrench these two back together; but when she finds out about Courtney, she might turn on him. It depends on if she jumps the gun, like what happened when Heather kissed Trent, or if she gets Harold to explain himself.
DJ: The only one who already knows about the cheat (or at least the only one we know already knows), and he doesn't seem to care; while he's friends with Duncan, and helped him prank Harold when he was leaving his underwear around, DJ stopped when Harold apologized. He probably realizes that Harold did it as revenge against Duncan, and if he grows a backbone (as if) he might stand up to Duncan; or he'll probably stay out of the way.
Heather: She's desperate for an alliance to keep herself from getting eliminated, and while the rivalry would garuantee that she won't get the boot on the first chance, she has to think long term. Harold seems to be the only one willing to be her friend, and she might take an interest in his white-collar criminal activities as an asset she can exploit.

I'm sure Justin will be sticking around for a while now. He's the only real adversary character to step up so far this season, so there's no point in booting him any time soon.
However, I would say that Beth is getting the inkling that Justin isn't all that nice. She's the first person to notice that he said something nasty to her, and she didn't seem to think he was really that great in view of his horse comment. I get the feeling she's going to be telling Justin off better than she did Heather before this season is over, and she might even be the person to finally take him out. Right now, he might actually be riding on his discovery of Trent more than his looks and charm as far as Beth is concerned.
Owen would probably vote himself off for Justin's sake... just so long as he doesn't find out that Justin supposedly dated Izzy. That is a possible fly in the ointment for that alliance. Particularly, since Izzy hates Justin for being a lying creep.
Lindsay will probably follow Justin till the end. She might even favor him over Beth, whom she seems to treat as more of a "convenient friend" or lackey than a true BFF.
As far as the Gaffers go, the Duncan-Harold conflict seems poised to be at the center of the next episode. LeShawna could go either way depending on how it all comes out. Duncan did pick on Harold to start the whole issue last season, but if that doesn't come out... LeShawna did support Duncan's feelings for Courtney when he was carving their initials into Courtney's head. (Boy, does that sound twisted if you don't remember the totem heads....) DJ will likely stay out of it. Heather would have to side with Harold as the only person talking to her. Harold tampering with the votes would the the kind of action Heather would respect anyways.
Maybe, the strangest solution would be for them to vote off one of the Gaffers and bring Courtney back as a Grip to level the playing field. Ends Duncan's excuse for picking on Harold and pays back the Grips for Trent having thrown those challenges. Or they could just make someone from the Gaffers switch teams... it's another way Gwen could pay back what she "owes" them.
I'm looking forward to the next preview, if one becomes available.

Justin has complete control on what happens with the Grips, with Trent gone and just his fans left, and can determain who stays and goes and when. In last week's episode he was impressed with Beth's ability to win the sand castle challenge, what Beth did to Heather this week only improves her cause on being useful. Any doubts she might have, Justin can easily smooth over and make it go away. Owen size can sometimes be a determeant, but his strength can be useful like when he pulled the trailers. Lindsay is the most useless of them, only one time do I recall her skills being useful in a challenge, the water skiing contest, and still had some help from Heather accidently exposing herself. Besides she is the only might that might rival Justin in terms of looks, and in the back of his head, there is room for only one good looking person.
The way I think Justin thinks, he evaluates his teammates in value.
1) Beth
2) Owen
3) Lindsay
I think, he might plot a Beth / Lindsay friendship breakup.
man i cant believe this about T+G breaking up plus thyre my number one fave couple in this series and i didnt even see the eppy speaking of that why isnt on youtube or online yet? i wanna see it, anyways will Justin be the new team captin for the Grips? i hope not
