    True. It probably wouldn't work out anyways. But can someone please tell me what happends in that Spongebob/Sandy Valentines book who's read it? They never got together but they look like they like eachother. Why else does Spongey always try to impress her?
    SpongeBob is playing with Gary and Sandy comes over and tells him she's making a special valentine for someone. He thinks it's for him and starts thinking he should make one for her. Patrick tells SpongeBob if a boy gives a girl a valentine it's a really huge deal and he would have to start hanging with her and won't be able to see his other friends. SpongeBob feels confused so he sneaks to the treedome to spy on her and sees she's making a huge red valentine, he starts to panic and decides to make her a valentine not caring what Patrick says. On valentines day with his valentine, he finds out Sandy's valentine was for her mother. He gives her the valentine anyway (while blushing) and she loves it, and thanks him by playing karate the whole day and SpongeBob sees that their relationship didn't change at all.

    I have kinda been partial to the whole Spongebob and Pearl thing. I mean take the episode "The Chaperone." He really wanted to make her prom the best one ever. Also think about "Whale of a Birthday." I know that he was only doing what Mr. Krabs said but he actually took the time to follow her around and got her everything she wanted including the boy band she has a crush on. The whole Sandy/Spongebob thing is good, but only as friends. The only time I noticed he really go jealous was in "Ripped Pants" when Larry asks Sandy to lift weights with him and they end up ignoring Spongebob after he makes a fool of himself. Other than that I haven't noticed anything in particular between them.

    Yeah. I can see Pearl having a crush on Spongebob, but too embarrassed to admit it. That would be interesting if they showed some more hints. The only difference is Pearl's 16 and Spongebob's in his 20s. She'd also be the most dominant one that's for sure.

    Well, Spongebob does try to impress Sandy a lot. In the beginning or still now, she has a better chance of getting with Spongebob than Pearl.

    Yeah in the Bossy Boots episode you can see a few hints of Pearl liking SpongeBob and SpongeBob really shows alot of signs liking Sandy.

    Yeah. I don't remember if Spongebob gave Pearl anything in the Chaperone. But in occasional episodes, Spongebob brings Sandy flowers.

    I think Pearl thinks Spongebob's cute, but she's not in love with him.

    SpongeBob is either asexual or gay I hope SpongeBob never gets a girlfriend or anything, because that would take away from the comedy of the show.

    Then why were some Season 1 episodes about Spongebob impressing Sandy? maybe he thought it would be interesting for Sandy/Spongebob to be together, but changed his mind because kids don't like romance. That's just my guess anyways ^_^;;

    Spongebob doesn't need love he's a SPONGE. Whether folks thinks he's gay or not how boring would it be if the show only showed romance themes? Spongebob's a kid at heart and should never date. He may like Sandy in some episodes but they should never get together.

    pearl because remember the episode: The Chaperone, and spongebob and pearl went on that prom date. And pearl would be perfect for spongebob, besides this question is illogical (No offense).

    True. It probably wouldn't work out anyways. But can someone please tell me what happends in that Spongebob/Sandy Valentines book who's read it? They never got together but they look like they like eachother. Why else does Spongey always try to impress her?

    Thanks! maybe that's why (outside the reason that it's a kid's show) Spongebob doesn't make a whole lot of moves on Sandy. He doesn't think Sandy likes him back

    I wonder what's with Larry though. Does he like Sandy too? in Ripped Pants, it seemed like he was trying to get Sandy away from Spongebob.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Larry seems too egotistical to like Sandy. Maybe he'd date one of the fish females though.

    Is this true? I read it from a review, but it quotes Steve Hillenburg said it: 'SpongeBob is like a child, optimistic and energetic,' says creator-exec producer Steve Hillenburg. 'But I think adults will like him because we throw him into surreal situations.' Hillenburg combined his background as a marine biologist with his hobby as a surfer to dream up SpongeBob's underwater fantasy-land, which includes employment at the Krusty Krab, a fast-food restaurant. 'Adults will want to check out SpongeBob's girlfriend, Sandy Cheeks, the surfer squirrel--she's pretty cool too,' says Hillenburg."

    At the bottom the reviewer said Hillenburg said, she was Spongebob's girlfriend. But forget this review, it was in 2001.

    Yeah it's pretty stupid people think cartoon characters whom don't have someone are gay They're just cartoons. Winnie the pooh never had a girlfriend
