Remember how Spongebob used to be so clever? Well forget about it now. Spongebob is now mediocre and nowhere near as clever as it used to be. What happened to it? It seems Spongebob has fallen victim to Nickelodeon milking it for money. I miss the old Spongebob who used to be funny and witty. Anyone else out there just tired of what has happened to everyone's favorite sea sponge? I just think it's time to cancel this show.

I don't know, and yes...I am sick of him. The episodes are dull now...and some are advertised as stupidly corny specials. MWAT was the worst. It was basically another Plankton ep, they didn't even have to tell you.

Oh boy, another lulz the show declined after the 3rd season thread. Seriously, it gets old fast. Get your nostalgia glasses off. The older episodes had bad ones as well.

I am well aware that the first three seasons had bad episodes as well, but at least in the first three seasons there was variety. In these new season, it's always about the Krusty Krab. Maybe if they brought some of that variety back and stopped using Plankton so much, I would still love this show.

People wanting to cancel the show because it dumbed down? Tell you what, it doesn't work.

You do understand that the plots are getting stupider and that the writing staff rips off older episodes or other shows for a plot, right? Give me a list of episodes in this season or the others that haven't done that, and then tell me your answers.

Don't get me wrong, I love Spongebob, but it's not what it used to be at all. Maybe if the show went back to what it once was, I wouldn't want it canceled. But Spongebob has deteriorated over the years and like all good things, it must come to an end.

It's a shame about what's happened to SpongeBob. It used to be so funny. Now it's just a hopeless mess of a cartoon.

Exactly, it all comes down to money and profit. Spongebob may be all bad and old now but it's making the network millions apparently so it'll still be around for a seemingly long time to come. Just look at how The Rugrats turned out. And when it comes to that next "big Nick show", I think it'll take some time before any other cartoon on Nick, no matter how good, take's Spongebob's spot on the top of the food chain. Hell, it even took Spongebob a few years after it first premiered to wrestle that mantle away from The Rugrats. Although, I honestly think that next big show hasn't hit the airwaves...yet.
