    Tone it down a bit. And in my opinion what you just said sounded like the atmosphere in Ba Sing Se, where the government tried to stop that fact that there was a war going, and instead 'having fun'. No offense, but that was a little too sci-fi for me.

    Also, Avatar isn't a violent show. The whole plot of the story is trying to stop the war and create peace and unity. If you ask me that is was the show is all about: peace, not violence.

    i am really shocked Avatar beat Spongebob. I guess people are getting tired of S/B and maybe Avatar is the new thing that everyone likes.

    I really dont care, i still LUV S/B and will watch the episodes and buy the dvds and stuff!!

    I'm surprised and happy at the same time.

    I honesty didn't think Avatar would win. I thought, since Spongebob got much more publicity, he'd win.

    I'm really happy because Avatar deserves to win something. I know I didn't watch it last year, but who won for best cartoon last year? Besides, I can watch a whole day of Avatar without going crazy. If I watch a whole day of Spongebob, I feel lazy and a little insane. After the movie... it just wasn't the same. Don't get me wrong, I still love Spongebob, but Avatar is my number four and Spongebob's my number 5 in my top five list of favorite cartoons.

    This is getting stupid.

    What part of AVATAR WON don't some of you get?

    Spongebob won for so many years now and just say that we're all being reasonable here...
    EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT OPINIONS.

    So Avatar won, it was about time that the show got its props. It's a great show. Just actually try and watch it instead of pretending it's annoying. Unlike a lot of you, I've actually tried to watch Spongebob, and at some point I did like it. But shows die out just like anything else.

    An here's a plus for you Sponge fans...
    This year, yep, 2008, is the last year for Avatar. It's going to end. Season three is the last one. So just let us enjoy our prize while we can.
