Yeah I thought of that but seriously how the heck does it take nine months to make one episode it makes no sense to me

Episodes are drawn and completed simultaneously... if you look at the credits, you will see that not all episodes are drawn by the same individuals or produced by the same team.?? Yes, together they are the Avatar team but they work on individual projects.?? I remember once a voice actor saying he had to watch the show on TV like everybody else to get the storyline because he only knew his parts and half the time they were not in proper order of when he had recorded them. (can't remember who it was, sorry)

I wish??these were??still the days when TV went off the air at midnight and ended with the National Anthem. Everything was much more simple back then.

I don't know who you're talking about, but if I had to guess it would be Jason Isaacs, who did Zhao. That just sounds like his character. Zhao wasn't always the most "involved" character in terms of speaking, but he always had some times when something in the storyline happened and he wasn't talking, take the s1 finale for instance. Zhao never said a word when being "captured" by the ocean spirit. So Isaacs would not have known about that.

Anywho, it is impressive. Like Primo said, they work on multiple episodes at a time. At this point in time there area at least 12-13 episodes in production for season 3, at the same time! Granted they are all at different stages (13 may be at writing, while the 5th may be recording voices, at the same time the 1st is beginning animation in Korea - not official, just to show how they do work on diff. episodes at the same time). On the money front, you have to consider how Nick scammed many people last year by releasing single DVDs then a boxed set.

Actually it was another animated cartoon from awhile back that's why I can't remember who it was...

But I guess it can apply to many voice actors, including action films, since as you mentioned, scenes are usually not taped according to the way they are going to appear in the show.?? And since this is their job - they might not look at things as a 'story plot' but more as - "okay, go to work, recite lines, go home"!??

usually the actors don't know how things are going to appear until they see it themselves on tv or on the big screen.
