Avatar takes $1 million dollars to animate and junk, takes 9-10 months to make 1 episode, and is animated in Korea. And like some others here said, DP, FOP, and Jimmy are being cancelled to save more money for Avatar. |

They Are not Cancelling DP! They should cancell Mr. Meaty That one episode with that guy kissing that gothic girl was wierd " Your a great kisser. For a bed wetter" |
Definitely.

I think so.

Y'know....I could've sworn there was a topic about this around the last season finale too. I weep for.....well, I dunno why. It just makes me sad. I guess all these new-comers make me feel old. But yeah....the big 1 and six zeros for a whole episode. I didn't believe it either at first, but it sure is true! It's a good thing several episodes are worked on at the same time, or else we'd have to wait quite a while, huh? |
Ya, seriously. We have to wait awhile anyway.

Reason why animation is expensive: Would you like sitting in a desk drawing small movements all day long? For the smoothness of the animation, they have to get as much frames per second in there to get it looking nice. And those backgrounds - wow. Amazing artists there. Oopsies, don't forget the equipment. Oh, and let's not forget those amazing voice actors! No wonder Nick has to recycle some of them from other shows. Ah, and the musicians, too - unless if they found a way to use something like Finale to produce the music, then they wouldn't need a big orchestra to pay. I've done animation before, and it wasn't very easy by yourself, to say the least. I applaud those that have to draw all the frames in one scene! *claps* Timing it to the music/voices was pretty daunting, as well... As long as those shows (DP, JN, SB) have enough fans to keep the money flowing, I don't think Nick will cancel it. ...Unless it happens to be something like Invader Zim. I'm so bitter about Nick canceling that show (despite thousands of fans). I don't care what anybody says, I liked that show because of the insanity. |
Yeah. The insanity was good. Especially that stupid little robot, GIR.
I expected??numbers like that. Making a beautifully animated show like this takes clout and time...Imagine a movie where they can spend about 50+ times that? I'm talkin' animation so crisp you'll think you're high on cactus juice...
*thinks* h??h?? happy point for belgium*stops thinking*
we still have DP, FOP, jimmy, and all those other things but here we have to wait much longer for book 2 and we can only see avatar on wednesday friday and in the weekends

they make the episodes in one big mess there with 20 busy at the same time (crappy qualety may resolve from this)

i know its a bit of a mess over there (which is normal), but its not THAT bad... i mean, they have to bring out a new episode every few weeks. but this doesn't really matter, and i don't really care. i just wanted to point out that the ''9 months per episode'' is just a load of crap. |
I know, but with the inefficient beaurocracies that govern America these days, what can you do?

That pretty much says it all.
