    Why's Azula's fire blue, and not Ozai's, Iroh's, or Jeong Jeong's? I just want a direct answer from the creators, so we can put this question to rest.

    Because Azula is more powerful. Blue fire is much more powerful than red fire.

    I have actually always considered Azula's blue firebending to be connected to her skill with lightning. My theory is that she uses the natural energy that is seperated to create lightning to bolster the internal energy used to create normal Firebending, allowing her to produce intensified flames. Just a crazy theory that I came up with out of the blue. If anybody's interested, I could explain it far better in full. In any case, it should be remembered that Firebending is defined as "the manipulation of energy". Nobody is better at manipulation than Azula - I feel this plays a role in her natural affinity for Firebending, also possibly explaining her ability to create lightning in the finale.

    I'm sure they're just going to say "she was born lucky" and quote Ozai. You probably won't get an in depth answer to a seemingly one dimensional question.
