    EDIT: 4/27/08 or 27/4/08

Nick has started showing commercials for Avatar, so it looks like they're stepping up with it now.

    -----------------------------------

I AM NOT advocating bashing Nick, I'm just informing the people that they mess over other shows besides Avatar.

To quote from the Spongebob guide:

    Spongebob guide wrote:
Nickelodeon USA advertised Pest of the West as a world premiere event, but it had already previously aired in both the United Kingdom and Mexico."

Apparently Nick's crown jewel gets trashed too. Zoey 101's "Goodbye Zoey" also had a similar situation to "Pest of the West," except it aired in Canada first (we all know about that). Also, Danny Phantom fans had to wait several months in between episodes like we did.

    Phyrra wrote:
Oh, I remember Danny Phantom. I resented Nick for wanting to, first off, cancel it. Then, they skipped episodes around to air 'Phantom Freeze' or something, rewund, skipped again, and came back... very ridiculous treatment. Almost a year waiting after one episode aired.
And Invader ZIM (which surprisingly is currently voted the second most screwed-over Nick show!)
    Phyrra wrote:
I wasn't aware of the poor treatment given to invader Zim, since I was so young to understand these things. When I got into it a couple years later, I was shocked to discover what torture it went through. They didn't finish the season at all, just voice acting. They didn't air all the episodes until 2006 (or was it, 2005) on Nicktoons Network. Ugh. Awful! Jhonen Vasquez was, as well, amazing, but he gladly parted ways with Nickelodeon (emphasis on 'gladly'.

All Grown Up had New episodes aired unadvertised and at 6:30 am. As Told By Ginger episodes have aired in Russia, and were thusly upped to the internet subtitled because they STILL haven't aired in the US. Apparently, El Tigre hasn't been seen lately. I'll add more according to what else gets posted here.

Vote besides your bias, as well. Remember, we're still getting our Avatar. IMO, I don't think our fandom gets messed up as much as Ginger, ZIM, and Danny Phantom did.

Someone should of sued Nick over the first one.

Strangely I find that extremely comforting.

Wow, how is Nick still able to go on with all their horrible decision making. To all animators who want to live their dream please don't go to Nick, look somewhere else, somewhere better.

Yeah, it kind of makes you wonder why Mike and Bryan picked them in the first place?

I find this EXTREMELY unusual. These are some on Nick's most popular show. I don't know who's the Network Producer but he/she must be a real retard . . .

Danny Phantom didn't even get it's S3 completed. They delived the Finale on 3x11 and 3x12, I think.

Imagine if Nick quit Avatar after DoBS or WAT.

Would Disney Channel be a better choice? But then again, they do censor... (think of all the Avatar episodes that were borderline).

i would have avatar go on channel 5,4, and maybe 11. mtv might be a better choice. maybe those networks would treat it better, as well as add some more dramatic and "romantic " scenes

    spike TV----

I don't hate Nick, I am grateful they put Avatar and some shows in the past, and I love nick at night with Home improvement and George Lopez, but got to say that I can't help myself but do many "facepalms" seeing the decisions the NICK PRIXIES make about advertisings, how they "change schedules at the last minute" at their own schedule!!!!!! (I can understand being different than TV guide but change schedule just 2 days before it is time to air at their site?), how "much" they air repeats of the season(only 306 so far, while YTV is right now in the 3rd round of 301 to 311)

and as it has been mention in this thread, Avatar is NOT the only show shortchanged by them, even Spongee has been shortchanged(even if it is very slightly)

we should not Hate nick, but we sure would be foolish if we didn't say "how inept they are"

Please don't attack for what I'm about to say: *flinches*

Nick is the best channel for Avatar. *flinches*

I say this because Disney scares me with its censor dictatorship and Cartoon Network just isn't ready for Avatar (waaay too much cartoons, Avatar needs to run along with real shows because it is much more realistic than others).

So yes, I hate Nick with all of my heart, but they are still the ones who need to air it.

Unfortunately, Nick seems to be the only channel that can contain Avatar.
We know Disney would have slaughtered it to bits.
Cartoon Network would be a maybe, as it is also starting to go downhill. However, then there'd be comparision (including the other anime aired). Whereas, for Nick, because of it's majority of new cartoons pretty much getting poor results or past their time, you can easily recognize Avatar as the top of its generation. Sure, there's always Spongebob fans, but I mean, we do have a more active, devoted, and larger fanbase than most shows.

Going back on another thread, I think Bryke are the only brains at the studios at this moment. Hartman isn't bad, but not as good. Jhonen Vasquez was, as well, amazing, but he gladly parted ways with Nickelodeon (emphasis on 'gladly').

You know what? I have a theory. How about if everybody on this forum goes and buys $100-$500 worth of Avatar merchandise? (Not from ebay, from actual stores where some of the money goes to Nick.) I bet we'd get some new episodes aired pretty fast.

THE NICK EXECUTIVES ARE NOT GOING TO AIR OUR SHOW UNLESS WE SHOVE CASH IN THEIR FACES. UNLESS WE GIVE THEM A PROFIT THEY HAVE NO REASON TO SHOW AVATAR.

I actually saw Pest Of The West (well the end of it) before it came out in America. It was on at like 7 in the morning.

Also, Nick isn't the only channel that does these kinds of screw ups. Once I saw an episode of Ben 10 by pure fluke early in the morning, it took me ages to find out it hadn't aired in America yet. We also saw one of the Ben 10 specials (I think it was the Negative 10) months before America.

I watched Jetix from time to time for the past few months, and it looks as if Avatar could have fit in there. Jetix looks made for action- adventure, even if it is owned by Disney.

Yeah, Avatar could definitely fit on Jetix. All their Batman episodes are unedited.
