FINALLY! I have a place to let this out.
Nicktoons have been getting screwed over since the very beginning. Ren and Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi (I think that's how it's spelled) was basically fired from his own show and then Nick took it and made their own episodes of it.
Rugrats got the "beating the dead horse" treatment for several seasons longer than it should have run. And some episodes meant for 1999 didn't air until 2001.
Hey Arnold was "discontinued" because creator Craig Bartlett refused to sign a contract to work exclusively for Nick while he made a second Arnold movie that would have given the series some real closure. He refused to sign because he was making a new show for Cartoon Network (which never aired, so he actually kind of screwed himself over with that one).
The Angry Beavers was immediately canceled and pulled off the air when Nick found out that the writers were bashing their practice of rerunning shows a ridiculous number of times even after production ended in the final episode.
Catdog. The last three episodes remain unaired to this day, and the two before that were aired unadvertised at terrible times of the day.
Spongebob obviously hasn't been as mistreated as most, but even with it the new eps show up in the US much later than overseas or on DVD. And like the others it often goes for months without a new episode, only to have four or five burned off at once.
As Told By Ginger has many unaired episodes, as do Chalkzone and Teenage Robot.
Invader Zim was continuously screwed over by changing air dates and premiere episode delays (sound familiar?) and of course it was unfairly cancelled in the middle of season 2 with no explanation whatsoever.
All Grown Up did not air its last two seasons until November 2007, and then it had 3 weeks of unadvertised premieres at 6:30 on weekday mornings (actually, 3 eps are still unaired).
Danny Phantom went nearly a year with only one episode of Season 3, and then the remaining episodes plus the finale were aired in two weeks (one episode a weekday, at 4PM, when kids should be outside playing).
By the time Catscratch's final episode aired (at 5PM on a Saturday) it was only rerun at 6:30 on weekend mornings.
The Xs was off the air by the time the final episode aired.
Kappa Mikey was not given a fair chance to survive on Nick's main channel. They only aired it on Sunday mornings, without any reruns at any time later in the week.
El Tigre is getting treated the same way as Avatar, it only airs when there is a new episode and there has only been one since last November.
Tak and the Power of Juju seems to be getting the shaft now as well. Its only air time is being filled with The Mighty B starting this weekend.
So there you have it. Advice to new animators and creators : STAY AWAY FROM NICKELODEON!!!!!
