I thought the forgiveness preach was a great setup for Zuko's comment about Ozai. The look Aang had at the end of the episode was foreshadowing at its brightest.

Remember when the million icsicles were pointed at the man? He must have had some wet undies. xD
i loved the end to! His went from happy to..uhh...oh...shiat...
He'll clearly get in a fight with Ozai. They'll both almost be dead and running out of power and then whatever Ozai's standing on will inexplicably fall into a volcano. Aang will try to help and Ozai being the ass will still try to kill him. Then Appa will fly bye and grab Aang before he falls and dies. Good end!

Agreed, they tried to add too much depth to an cartoon martial arts-ish action show, I wanted her to get there and have the dude be like super strong and have this huge fight, oh well
You really don't get it. Life had already destroyed him. He was pathetic. He had nothing. There's nothing she could have done that his life couldnt have done better.
Yeah, but she could at least break his leg or arm - villains cannot feel sorry for their prey (i'm talking about this old man and katara's mother).

Actually villains can, but probably not this particular villain.

I was hoping for her to bloodbend him and bash him into trees and the ground. But I don't think they would've shown her breaking his arm.

BTW, did anyone notice in the flash back, Katara's dad called her "Kaya". That name was from the original plot episode that never aired. Bryk said they changed Kaya's name to Katara, so I really didnt get it...maybe a nick name!

Yeah, what they did was give Katara's mother the name Kya instead of Katara herself. It wasn't a nickname. it was her actual name.
i recognized that too. The minute Hakoda said "Kya!" I was like "Erp? Wtf?!?!"

I didn't get it at first because I always read 'Kya' as 'kee-ya' whereas Katara's mum was pronounced 'kai-ya'.

He was actually referring to his wife, and it's spelt Kya.

I found it cute how they gave Katara's mother the name meant for her in the beginning.

Absense of good feelings is the main conception of evil, so he probably can't...

There's a difference between a villain and being evil.

Did anyone notice Azula seemed crazier than normal? and how did she even know where they were??? on another note, I can't believe Katara used bloodbending! She originally was so upset about using it, and Zuko looked shocked!

the question Zuko asked Aang at the end was a good one though. Overall a good episode.

As I've said before, simple logic locates Aang and Zuko. They headed in a specific direction, and Aang is an Air Nomad. There's an Air Temple in that direction. Doesn't take a genius to put all that together.

Grey DeLisle is an uber-talented voice actor. She does a bunch of them.
