The Story of a Earthbender

I do not own ATLA and this is the 3rd time??I have wrote this because something keeps happening that erases this.

Chapter 3

?????????? Jake just barely got away from the area in time before more soldiers got there. He started off by walking so that the soldiers wouldn't see him. But after he was far enough away he began to skate again. The rest of the by went by pretty fast. No one else got in the way Jake was able to go along way. After a while he realized it was late so he stopped for the day. He found a grassy area right off to the side of the road. He thought that this was a good place so he camped out here. He created an earth tent and then he made a campfire. He cooked some meat he had packed before he left??a couple days ago.

?????????? He??went to??sleep about half an hour later. Right when he fell asleep a horrible nightmare began.??Jake was back at his home village and they were under attack by ??the Fire Nation. He looked around and everyone and everything was under attack. His village was on fire and everyone in their path was being attacked and killed. Jake looked to his right and saw his??master coming. "You need to get out of here now!". "But why dad, i mean master?". "You have to go help the avatar.He needs all the help he can get right now. You can help. You are a master earthbender now and you can take care of yourself. Here take this. It is a pack full of supplies that should last you a while. Now GO!". "Ok. But promise me you will come back.". "I will". Jake then ran up a hill as fast as he could.He stopped at the top and looked behind him. He saw his father fall to the gorund and was then killed. His village was destroyed.

???????? Jake then woke up and saw that it was daytime again. He gathered all of his supplies and thought for a minute. "Why do I continue to have that nightmare? Ever since it happened I can't stop thinking about it. Why did dad want me to help the avatar and why wouldn't he let me help him? I could've helped??stop the Fire Nation from destroying my village." Jake then left and continued his journey to find the avatar. He skated right on down the path for a long time. About mid-day he looked to the east and saw what he had been looking for since he left his village. He saw the Eastern Air Temple.

So, is it getting better? ??

(Takes place after the gaang leaves the Northern Water Tribe)

?????? Shiro laid his
hand on the ice. It was cold, very cold. There was a full moon out, and he was
at his strongest. As he watched the firebender soldier disappear into the
shadows, he moved forward. "This was it," he thought. "It's my
chance to show the others that I can fight. They can't hold me back just
because I'm only 14." He raised his hand high up into the air, and with
all of his strength, slammed it into the ice.
?????? The firebender turned around just in time to see hundreds of
ice shards rushing at him. He made a shield of fire, trying to block them, but
one caught him in the leg, and he collapsed. He tried to stand up, but
couldn't. He watched in pain as Shiro stood over him. The firebender gathered
all of his strength and unleashed a great blast of blue flames at Shiro. Shiro
easily covered himself with some snow from the ground. Shiro watched the man as
he lay there in the snow. He thought to himself, ???Maybe I should get someone to
help me bring him to the tribe.??? Shiro started running back to the Northern
Water Tribe. He had to get help.
?????? Shiro walked on top of a snow covered hill. The Northern
Water Tribe was barely visible through the heavy snow falling from the sky. He
decided to set up camp for the night. He reached for his bag, but it wasn???t
there. ???I must have dropped it,??? he thought. He started walking back to where
he had left the Fire Nation soldier. ???Here???s my bag,??? he said to himself, but
the man was gone. He looked around for him, and he saw many footsteps that had
made a trail to where the man was. He began to follow the trail, and heard some
voices. ???What was that???? he thought, ???Where is it coming from???? The footsteps
ended there, the snow had covered up the rest. He was looking down when a large
blue and white flame came an inch to burning his leg. He looked up as fast as
he could. A group of Fire Nation soldiers had surrounded him, and they had each
sent a blast of hot blue flames at him. He dodged most of them, but one got him
on the arm. The soldiers had given him a scar. He kept dodging, until he was
able to raise walls of ice around him. The soldiers sent fire at the walls, but
they stood strong. Shiro gathered all of his strength, and he once again
slammed his hand into the ice. This time, a shockwave of ice sent the soldiers
flying. He buried most of the unconscious soldiers in snow and froze them, so
they couldn't get out, even with firebending.
?????? One soldier that had not been buried stood up and looked at
Shiro. Shiro was ready; he was ready to fight with all of his strength. The
soldier, however, did nothing. He looked at Shiro and whispered, "You have
showed me that we are not superior to the other elements. Take me to your
tribe." Shiro was suspicious, but he led the man to the Northern Water
Tribe.
?????? It was morning. He went to Chief Arnook's palace and quietly
walked in with the man behind him. Chief Arnook began talking to the Fire
Nation man. As soon as Shiro left the palace, he saw a Fire Nation ship docked
in the harbor. Shiro ran to the ship, preparing to fight.
?????? There were Fire Nation soldiers there, but they presented no
harm. They were peacefully talking to some of the older men of the tribe. Shiro
walked down there, wondering what was going on. Shiro asked, "Why are they
here? What do they want with our tribe? They have already invaded once this
past month, and lost."
One of the men replied, "They are not here for battle,
but for help. They wish to seek refuge from the Fire Nation. See, they helped
people from a sinking Earth Kingdom ship, but the
Fire Lord has discovered this. In the Fire Nation, this is a felony. They
didn't have time to go to the Earth Kingdom, because there
was already a blockade of Fire Nation ships waiting for them. They came here
with the Earth Kingdom people from the ship, knowing
that we would take them in."
?????? Shiro's dad said, "Hey, Shiro, there was an Earth Kingdom
boy on that ship, maybe you could help him find his way around. He's over by
the water."
Shiro walked over to the boy. "What's your name?"
he asked.
The boy replied, "Komiko. I have been separated from my
home, and it is all thanks to the Fire Nation. They bombarded our ship, and
left us for dead. But another ship luckily came along. It was a Fire Nation
ship, but these soldiers were friendly."
Shiro told Komiko, "Well, I guess I'll take you to
Chief Arnook's palace first."
?????? The two boys walked to the palace where the Fire Nation
soldier that Shiro had battled walked out to join the soldiers from the ship.
Shiro asked Chief Arnook what he wanted.
Chief Arnook replied, "Well, he wants to help us, the
Northern Water Tribe. He carries much information from the Fire Nation. His
name is Admiral Ba Zhei. He was a leader of the elite team of firebenders that
had encountered Shiro. He said that now he has seen what devastation comes from
his element, he refuses to fight for the Fire Nation, and he is gathering the
soldiers from his ship to find his elite team in the tundra, and convince them
to help. He wants you to go along with him. I guess your friend could come
too."
?????? Komiko said, "No thanks, I'd rather not go where there
is all snow and ice."
Shiro interrupted, "I'll go! I want them to help our
tribe while the older waterbending men are at our sister tribe. I want these
firebenders to help, and become our ally."
Chief Arnook replied, "Then so be it. Go to Admiral Ba
Zhei and tell him that you would be glad to help him find his team."
?????? Shiro asked, "But why was their team here? Wouldn't
they try to kill me again?"
Chief Arnook replied, "No, Shiro. They were only there
to find a boy named Zuko who had the avatar. They didn't find him, and they
were stranded, but you helped save them by attacking them. Even if they did try
to attack you, I'm sure your skill in waterbending would bring them down."
?????? Shiro walked away with the feeling of being accepted as a
great waterbender in the tribe.

Chapter 4

???????????? Jake was drawing closer and closer. The Eastern Air Temple was getting larger and larger. He was almost there when he saw a rock coming right for him."Oh know. The Dai Li are back.". Then Jake destroyed the rock and picked up his own rock??and stopped. "Who are you?". "None of yours you stinkin' Dai Li agents.". "I am not Dai Li. I am here to help the avatar.". "What? What is your name?". "My name is Jake. What is yours?". "The name is Toph. You said you were looking for the avatar right?". "Yes. I was told that he could use some help.". "I can take you to him. Follow me."

?????????? Toph led Jake all the way to the center temple where the GAang was. "Who is he?" said one of them. She bended her water out of her pouch. "He had better not be trying to kill us" said the other.??"It's ok Katara and Sokka. He is not here to hurt us. He is here to help us.". "Oh" said Katara as she put her water back in her pouch. "What happened to the avatar?" said Jake. "He was killed by Azula. But??I was able to bring him back with this special Oasis water i got at the North Pole. It had special abilities and it brought him back. But he is still seriously injured.". Jake looked through his pack and found some materials that could help cure the wounds. "Here take these.". Jake gave Katara the materials and she began to try to help cure Aang's wounds.

?????????? A few days went by before Aang was completely healed. The days went by pretty smoothly. No one tried to attack and there were no problems. "I am ready to get moving." said Aang. "No not yet Aang. We need to make sure that the area is clear. If we just walk out we could be ambushed." said Katara. "I will go check." said Jake. " I will be right back.". Jake walked down to the bottom and checked the area. Everything seemed fine until he looked to the??north and saw something he didn't wantto see. There was an entire army of Fire Nation troops coming over the hill and they were heading straight for them."Oh no".

Rise with the Moon-
Chapter 2
Shiro and
seven firebending soldiers walked into the harsh tundra behind the Northern
Water Tribe. The firebenders kept the palms of their hands lit with orange fire
to help see through the snow and stay warm. They were searching for the elite
team of firebenders that Shiro had encountered before. They came to the snow
covered hill that Shiro had started to set camp up on the night before. When
they reached the top, they could see a figure in the distance. Before they
could see anything, Shiro began running towards the shadowy figure. Ba Zhei ran
up behind him and jumped onto his back. ???Are you crazy!???? he hissed, ???You have
no idea who the heck he is! Everyone, get down, quick!???
Shiro could
barely make out any details on the figure. ???Let me get a little bit closer,??? he
whispered. Using his waterbending, he tunneled about ten feet through the snow
until he had a close up on the figure. It was another firebender. But this one doesn???t look like it has been
stranded for days, he thought, this
one isn???t hurt at all. Shiro shifted around in the snow, making it move
just enough to catch the firebender???s eye. ???Who???s there???? he yelled. His voice
was deep and very threatening. Shiro began slowly coming out of the snow, but
the firebender shot a wave of orange flames in his direction. ???Ah! Stop! I???m
here to help!??? Shiro yelped. The man shot a bolt of lightning just above
Shiro???s hair. He could smell it burning.
The man
leaped at Shiro with all his might. Shiro jumped back and tried to bend the
snow around the man, but the man caught onto his legs and pulled him down.
Shiro was thrashing about in the man???s grip. He yelled for the rest of the
group, and they came to his calling. They tried to talk to the man, but he
wouldn???t listen. He began shooting blue flames at the other men, trying to get
them to go away. When he had loosened his grip on Shiro, Shiro jumped out of
his arms and melted the snow into water. He quickly brought the water around
himself like an octopus, just like Katara had taught him. He whipped the man
with the water several times, but the man did not fight back. He stood up, and
quietly said, ???I wouldn???t do that boy, you are easily outnumbered. Your tribe
won???t stand so proud and tall much longer.??? Shiro was confused. ???You???re lying!???
???No, I don???t believe I am. Our troops are already upon your shores. They
ambushed your tribe as soon as you and those traitors left.??? The man spat on
the ground at Shiro???s feet. Shiro made a giant wave of water with the flick of
his wrist. The wave came crashing down on the man, and Shiro quickly turned the
wave of water into ice. The man was buried in six feet of ice. There is no way that he could get out of
there, Shiro thought to himself.
The other
men had stayed behind; watching Shiro in amazement at what his skill gave him
the power to do. Shiro yelled, ???We must get back to the tribe before it is
destroyed! But first, we need to find the rest of Admiral Ba Zhei???s men!???
Admiral Ba Zhei interrupted, ???But young Shiro, I have already sent two of my
men to find the others. We will know what has happened when they returned.
The group
waited for about half an hour before one of the men returned. He was panting,
and he whispered, ???The others need help, they are dying, but they can be
healed, with your (He pointed to Shiro) healing abilities.??? ???Let???s go,??? Shiro
replied. The man led them to the site of the wounded benders. Eleven
firebenders lay on the ground, with another firebender tending to their wounds.
Shiro began the healing. He started with the one that was injured the most,
Zokiro. Zokiro was the one that Shiro had hurt in the leg with a shard of ice.
Shiro easily used his powers to heal the men. They thanked Shiro as he and the
18 firebenders headed towards the Northern Water Tribe. We must get there faster, Shiro thought, but how?
Shiro dug
his hands into the ground, trying to concentrate his energy into turning the
snow into thick ice. The men stopped. One of them asked, ???What are you doing????
Suddenly, a large sheet of thick ice lay under the feet of 18 soldiers and
Shiro. Shiro said, ???You are the ones that must fight for my tribe. I will aid,
but for healing and protecting all of you. Save your energy and rest. I will
get us there quick.??? Shiro spread out his arms as wide as he could, and with
the rest of his energy, he quickly moved his arms in wide circles. The sheet of
ice began to budge. It began to gather speed, going faster and faster every
minute. The wind was flying through his hair, and but he began going too fast
as he approached the hill. He stopped his arms, but the large sheet of ice
didn???t stop. The hill was coming closer. Shiro tried to raise the large sheet
of ice into the air. He started to raise the very heavy sheet of ice, but he
saw that it was not just him.
Komiko was
there, bending the rocks under the sheet of ice to help Shiro pull the sheet of
ice up. The sheet successfully swept over the top of the hill. Komiko jumped
onto the sheet of ice with a large rock under him. He yelled at Shiro, ???Your
village is under attack! My father, sister, and the other earthbenders from the
ship along with the firebenders are trying to hold them off. There are very few
waterbenders left except for some of the inexperienced students. There are way
too many firebenders to handle, and we need your help! They sent me to try and
find you!???
The group
flew across the landscape. As they approached the Northern Water Tribe, Shiro
could see his village being destroyed by rock and fire. Rock too? Shiro thought, I
don???t see any catapults launching the flaming rock from the ships. That???s
when Shiro saw earthbenders launching the flaming rocks at his home.
???WHAT!?!?!?!??? he screamed. ???They are our allies, why the heck would they be
against US!?!?!?!???
Komiko
whispered, ???There were rumors of a rebellion in the Earth Kingdom.
They think that the Fire Nation has the right idea that we need to be united
under one dictator. It is starting to become a civil war in the Earth Kingdom.
The Earth Kingdom does not have many strongholds
left.???
Shiro said,
???It does not matter anymore. They are the enemy now. We must keep them away
from here.??? Shiro began moving the sheet of ice even faster. ???What are you
doing?!??? Komiko yelled, ???Do you want to get us all killed?!??? ???No,??? Shiro
replied, ???This??? is strategy. Everyone! Jump off of the ice when I say to!??? They
silently waited for the sheet of ice as it flew over the village. Shiro yelled,
???NOW!??? Everyone jumped off of the sheet of ice, except for Shiro. Shiro aimed
the ice at the hundreds of Fire Nation Soldiers invading his home. He broke the
large sheet of ice down into many shards, and he jumped off. The thousands of
ice shards flew straight towards the soldiers. The soldiers stood speechless. Shiro whispered, "This is just the beginning of it."

Chapter 5

?????????? Jake began to run back to the temple. He finally got to the top and looked at everyone. "What is wrong?" asked Katara. "Its the Fire Nation. They found us. They are coming right here. There are at least 300 or more troops coming. They should be here by tomorrow.". "Well??I guess that means that we need a plan." said Sokka. Aang then looked at Katara and thought for a second."This could be what could cause me to let go of Katara" thought Aang."I don't want to let her go.". "Okay, first we need a distraction." said Sokka. "I can do that" said Toph. "Ok, now we need a battle plan.". "Can either of you two metalbend?" Jake asked Toph and Aang. "I can" replied Toph. "Ok, we can take out some tanks while Aang and Katara take out some soldiers.". " But I need more than just this water to really do anything." said Katara. "Ok. Come with me" said Jake.

?????????? Jake and Katara walked down to the creek. Jake then created a giant earth like bowl. "Here bend some water into this." said Jake. "Ok". Katara then began to fill the bowl up. Once it was full Jake made another one. They did this until three of them were filled up. Katara then went up to help plan everything while Jake to the bowls up north a little. He then headed back and went to see the plan. He got up and looked at the plan. "Are you sure that it will work?". "Yea, i'm sure." said Sokka. The night went by slowly. Jake had the same nightmare again. When he woke up it was just about to be daybreak. "He looked around and saw Toph sitting on the stairs. Jake went over to talk to her.

?????????? "Hello. You are up a bit early.". "So are you. Did you have a nightmare?". "No." replied??Jake. "Your lying." said Toph. "And how do you know?". "I can feel vibrations which lets me see and tell if people are lying. So what is it about?". "Well about a week ago the Fire Nation attacked my village and killed everyone except me. My dad told me to leave and go help the avatar. I ran away but when I turned around to see if he could make it I saw him fall to the ground. Then the Fire Nation killed him. Ever since then??I have had the same nightmare of my village being destroyed". "I'm sorry they killed your father." said Toph. "Well you have to move on someday.". They continued to talk about their lives for a little while until it the sun was up. Then everyone woke up and looked to the north. The Fire Nation would be here very soon. They all got??ready and went to the bottom of the??temple and saw that the Fire Nation was drawing closer and closer. "Ok everyone get in your positions!" said Sokka. Then everyone went into a different spots and got ready for the distraction. They waited a bit longer until they were there. "You" said the leader "where is the avatar?". "Well if I told you that then what would be the point of this!" yelled Toph. Toph then created a giant dust cloud and the fight began.

CLIFFHANGER. I know that this sucks but the fight will be in the next one or two chapters. The sixth chapter will be here in about 45 minutes. Other than that,what did you think?

Chapter 6

?????????? The battle had begun. The Fire Nation couldn't see a thing so Toph and Jake began to start going for the tanks. Jake picked up several rocks aabout the size of a human being and started throwing them everywhere. One soldier after another began to fall. Jake looked to his left and saw Toph also picking up and throwing rocks. Jake looked behind her and saw someone going right for here. So he picked up another boulder and threw it right at him. It hit him and he flew straight into a tree about 20 yards away. He then saw Toph lift up a column of rock from under the soldiers feet that went right across to the other side. Right when it came up several soldiers where sent flying. The dust was starting to clear away so Jake and Toph got ready to go for the tanks. The Fire Nation looked confused until they looked ahead of them and saw Aang. "There you are. I have been ordered to take you in dead or alive. Oh, i'm sorry??I haven't told you who??I am so you can say my name when you beg for mercy. I am Admiral Uzan and I am going to get you."

?????????? Then Uzan began to fire at Aang. This was their chance. Jake and Toph snuk up further and then began to take down the tanks. Jake got to one first. He jumped on the tank and ripped the top off. He looked in and saw the Fire Nation soldier. Jake then picked up the metal he tore off and threw it in. The soldier died instanly. Toph was folding the tank in two and then piercing it with earth spikes. Jake went to the next one and just pierced it with an earth spike and then went on to the next one. Toph started to do the same. It took a while but they finished them all.

?????????? While Jake and Toph were dealing with the tanks Aang, Katara, and Sokka were working on their part of the plan. Aang was fighting Uzan while Katara was taking out soldiers. Sokka was still at the top of the temple waiting for his que. "Why don't you stop jumping everywhere and let me hit you?!" yelled Uzan. "Becuase I don't want to.". Aang then blasted Uzan with an air blast and Uzan was sent flying. While Aang and Uzan??were fighting, Katara was fighting the soldiers. One tried to blast her so she created a ice shield and protected herself. She then went into octupus form and started attacking everyone around her.

?????????? Jake and Toph had just finished taking out all the tanks and were on there way to help Katara. On the way Jake shot a column of rock up into the air. It was then that Katara went behind a tree and hid for a second.While she hid, Sokka cut a rope and then rock spikes fell everywhere. The spikes took out half of the soldiers. Uzan looked at what happened and saw that there were more left. Jake sent off another rock and Sokka cut the next rope. But this time Toph and Jake guided the spikes onto the soldiers. It took out another quarter of them. Then Jake sent the last rock into the air and Sokka cut the last rope. Toph and Jake also guided these onto the soliders. It took out another quarter of the soldiers left. The remaining soldiers looked around and saw that everyone else was gone. So they retreated. All that remained was Uzan. Jake, Katara and Toph then ran towards Aang.

?????????? When they got there they saw the epic battle between Aang and Uzan going on. "Hey Uzan, your soldiers have fled or are dead. So give up." said Jake. "NEVER!". Uzan then began to shot at everyone. So Jake, Toph, and Aang all created a shield to protect the four of them. "Give up r we will have to kill you!" said Jake. "Ok.??I surrender." said Uzan. Then he created a fire wall and ran. Toph and Jake began to blow dust at it so the fire would go down while Katara started pouring water on it. By the time the fire was down Uzan had escaped. They all went up to te top of the temple and looked down. "We did it." said??Jake. "Looks like the plan did work" said Katara. "Yea that should teach the Fire Nation not to mess with us" said??Toph??"Maybe, but??this place isn't safe anymore." said Sokka. "We need to be moving." they all gathered their supplies and got on Appa and began their journey to find a firebending master to teach Aang.

That took awhile but??I got it done. I hope that everyone liked it. Be sure to tell me anything that i should do different or did wrong

Chapter Three

It was the second time Darlo had seen Princess Azula, before she was sitting with the Fire Lord while Darlo performed. He had heard of her triumphant infiltration of Ba Sing Se, and how she not only conquered the mighty city through a well executed coup, but had killed the Avatar. He had mixed feelings upon hearing the latter of her accomplishments. Darlo didn't get a good look at her during his performance, but now saw that she was rather easy on the eyes.

She didn't sit down in the chair, instead she stood behind it. "Princess Azula, forgive me if I don't bow," Darlo said raising his hands references the heavy shackles around his wrists and ankles, looking directly into her eyes. Darlo was suddenly uneasy.

A faint smile crossed her face.??"Of course. You no doubt wish to know why you are here, correct?" Azula started pacing the floor, arms behind her back.

Of course I want to know. What's her angle???"Very much so."

She stopped pacing and looked directly at Darlo.??"You stand accused of crimes of the highest??offense??to the Fire Nation: Treason, for actions commited as the Blue Spirit..."

Darlo's eyes went wide. "What?!? Treason? The Blue Spirit? That's craz-unh.." He jumped??up at hearing??that??, but was yanked back down when the chain went taught.

??"...including an??attempted assassination of the Fire Lord."

Darlo??felt like someone punched him in the gut. He was ready to hear anything, but this? His mind was flashing. "I...I...there's...just no way. But, why? Why me? I would NEVER-"

Azula??cut him off by raising her hand.??"If there wasn't any doubt you tried to kill my father, you would already be dead. The entire royal court saw you last night,??and your performance was fresh in mind. Then later that same night,??the Blue Spirit??made an attempt on the Fire Lord's life. After being discovered by the Fire Lord's royal guards the Blue Spirit escaped, but not before dropping this."??Azula??stepped to the table and placed something??in front of Darlo close enough for him to see, but too far for him to reach and grab it.??

It was a small length of cloth, with red, black, and green stripes. It was a hair tie. But, not just any hair tie. This one had the Fire Lord's seal on it. A show of appreciation and honor for the owner. The Fire Lord only gave his seal to people who have gained his favor, be it by artwork or prowess in a battle. In Darlo's case it was for a display of his skill.

Once he saw his hair tie, Darlo shook his head and laughed. "Ikera always said??'One day??I would wish I never took that off.' I never thought she would be right."??Darlo realized??someone snuck into his room while he slept and stole his hairtie, but why?

Azula continued her pacing.??"You were staying in the palace at the time of the assassination attempt,??the??Blue Spirit's skill is notorious, just like you??,and??your??hair tie was found at the scene.??There is a solid??amount of evidence??against you, however I'm not convinced you're the Blue Spirit,??which is why I stopped your execution."

??"Not that I'm not grateful for you sparing my life, but??you aren't convinced? Even I wouldn't think I'm innocent..." Darlo said letting his slight cynicism show.

The faint smile reappeared on Azula's face. "And you're right, normally??I would have no reason to suspect you weren't the Blue Spirit, except I know who the REAL Blue Spirit is..."

Darlo's eyebrows raised. "Oh?"

"...I have a proposal for you."
