Chapter Two
Darlo was quite familiar with this prison, which had no real name and was not located on any map.??This was??the oldest part of the prison, which has been??added to several times to accomadate the??increasing??number of??prisoners or war. The Fire Nation was ruthless in warfare, but??still adhered code of honor and conduct on the battlefield. "To take no prisoners, even in revenge,??was the mark of??a savage," a Fire Lord decree said several years back.??However, nothing was ever said that prisoners of war??had to be treated like humans. The conditions at this prison were intentionally??terrible.??Even a??skunk pig wouldn't want to be kept here.??
Darlo knew pratically everything about??this prison, but??not because he himself??was criminal, far from that. He spent a good majority of his childhood??wandering the cell block??corridors with men that either wanted to rip his head or worse shouting and jeering at him.??Darlo's father worked with the warden and would occasionally bring Darlo along to help him with his daily duties. It went against his father???s wishes but Darlo would still run off and mess with the prisoners when they were delivered their daily slop??of a meal. Some of the prisoners??actually were??decent people,??guilty of just fighting for the other side of a battle.??Darlo befriended a few,??listening to stories of other nations and about??the Avatar.??It almost became Darlo's??home away from home. Or rather, a home inside his home, the jungle.
Only the Janguru dared to??call the jungle their home. The Janguru are the jungle dwelling metallurgists on the Fire Nation. While the jungle is notoriously lethal, it is known for another reason. The volcanoes. It is here that the secret to smelting metals was discovered by Avatar Bukar, nearly 800 years ago. He became the first Janguru from years of living in the jungle and training on the rim of the volcano to master his Firebending. And ever since, his descendants honored him by living in the jungle and continuing his metal smelting traditions. The Janguru work closely with the Fire Nation, producing the Fire Nation???s amazing steel creations and in some instances join the Fire Nation Army.
A unique characteristic of the most direct descendants of Avatar Bukar is dark brown skin. A trait he acquired from training by the volcano rim which, according to legend, exposed him to such intense heat his skin darkened to the point and earned him the name ???The Jungle Shadow.??? And Darlo, being a 9th generation Janguru, and a direct descendants of Avatar Bukar, shares the same brown skin trait.
Darlo was deep in thoughts about his ancestry and planning his own defense, when he heard footsteps from outside his cell door. ???You have a visitor,??? said a guard turning the keys and opening the cell door. A visitor? Ikera? Darlo wondered. The guard promptly walked over to him and shackled his feet and hands together and led him from his cell to the visitation chamber, which Darlo knew??was nothing more than a??larger, cleaner cell with a table and two chairs and two doors on opposite sides of the room..??Darlo could have walked there from his cell with his eyes closed. Darlo was??then chained to a??ring on the floor to stop him from??trying to??escape and forced him to sit in the moldy wooden chair.??
Darlo??weighed??expecting to see Ikera come through the other door.??Ikera was a long time friend of Darlo's. She was a gifted musician, and that complimented Darlo perfectly.??"What good was a dancer without some good music to dance to?" Darlo would typically say, knowing full well how corny that sounds.??She helped him perform for the Fire Lord, and would be the only person in the remote area that would give a damn that he was arrested.??But, Darlo didn't want Ikera to see him chained up like this.
Can't be helped,??just??another??in my recent run of piss poor luck, Darlo thought to himself, trying his best to straighten up his??ear length??dreads, but the shackles limited his range of motion so he gave up.
"Heh. Knowing Ikera, the first thing she'll say will be about how my hair looks," Darlo??chuckled to himself. The door??in front of??him opened and in walked two??royal guards, standing on both sides of the doorway.
Royal guards? What are they doing here?
His question was immediately answered in walked the??conqueror of Ba Sing Se herself, Princess??Azula.
I will give this a shot

The war of the Fire Nation still rages on. But things aren't going to well for the GAang. They just lost Ba Sing Se to the Fire nation. They are on there way to the only safe place left for them. The??Eastern Air Temple where Guru Pathik is. But while they head there a new earthbender has just left his home to??go fight in the war. His name is Jake and he is a master earthbender. He is seeking the??avatar so he can help him save the world.
Chapter 1:
???? "I need to go faster. The avatar needs all the help he can get right now". He then started to skate across the ground and was getting faster and faster. Then he saw what looked like a campfire. But as he got closer he realized that a village was on fire. he started to go faster and faster. Then he finally got to the village and saw that it was under attack.
??????????"I have to help" he thought. So he ran into village and saw several Fire Nation soldiers. "Get away from them" he yelled. "Oh yea. What are you going to do about it?". "This". He picked up a boulder and shot it right at the solider. The boulder sent him and the solider behind him flying. Then the rest of the soldiers began to attack. Jake created a rock shield and protected himself from the blasts. He then began to shoot the rocks from the shield at the Fire Nation soldiers. The rocks were flying everywhere. One rock hit a Fire Nation solider right in the head and he was killed instantly.
???????????? Then Jake looked behind him and saw that the village was burning to a crisp. So he??blew dust all over the village and did it until the fire was out. When he turned back around, only one solider remained. He looked behind him and saw that the other soldiers had left. "You have two options." said Jake. "You can stay and fight or you can run away with the rest of your team." The solider then ran away and was screaming for everyone to wait up. "Thank you" said ,what looked like, the leader of the group."Your welcome". Jake then started skating down the path again and continued his search for the avatar.
So what do you think? If you would like to give me any advice go ahead and help.
I'm putting up two chapters this time. 10/10 for eman and kingdom.
Chapter-3
Disclaimer-No matter how much I say otherwise, my concience says that I don't own Avatar.
The girl hated the ring. It was a vile, inhumane way for people to get their fix. A drug of sorts. But she loved the freedom. Being in the sweet open air. Seeing sunlight, all of it was justified. She wasn't a cold blooded killer, merely in the wrong place at the wrong time. The rules of the ring are clear-Kill or be killed. Verdicts were the decision made by the regional Lord or governer. The verdict was decided by the people, and it almost always meant death. The girl knew she was supposed to take the blow a die after the verdict, but she had more willpower than the other dogs that were her cellmates. The crowd wasn't happy. She would have to put on a good show.
As she walked up the gangplank to her next fight she pondered who her opponent was. Number 11. She had heard that name before but fogot who it was. Every prisoner or slave in cellblock D had a number. She was number 6. "Skan said this guy is tough" she thought. "But then again Skan said the last guy was tough too. It's in the bag. No problem. I got this." She reassured herself. As the gates opened she squinted to adjust her eyes to the sunlight. As her eyes focused she saw a horrible apparition, staring at the ground,??restained with anchor chains. Asthetics were everything her bitter??sarcasm pointed out. She had never felt this afraid in her life. Skan wasn't lying, Number 11 was Animal-man, and he would be tough.
Holy crap! She has to fight him?! Yeah. Sorry it is short but suspense keeps you blood thirsty heathens reading! R and R peeps.
Fight scene!
Chapter-4
Disclaimer-I don't own Jak and Daxt-Oops my concience has informed me that I don't own Avatar, wrong obsession.
"No!" She screamed in her head. "This isn't happening! Anyone but him!". She said nothing aloud for fear of repercussions. She walked out to the center of the ring, showing off as she went. Crowd control, she thought. But it was hard to think when you knew you were going to fight that thing. As his chains were undone she put up the usual act. Crossing her arms in front of her chest, then thrusting them out, still crossed. "We, who are about to die, salute You." He did nothing more than stare at the same spot on the ground. "Warriors! Back 30 paces!" The speaker cried. The girl and the freak stepped back sixty feet from each other. "You may begin on the gong." the speaker said. The gong sounds and immediately the Animal-man charges hand already on fire.
The girl sends a slab of earth slamming into Number 11's chest, Which hardly phases him. As he begins to run she sends column after column to knock him over but as soon as he hits the ground he rolls over and begins his charge anew. She stomps the ground sendin a wave of rock, knocking him into the air. As he is in midair he shoots a wave of??fire at her which she has barely enough time to dodge. As she shoots boulder after boulder he dogdes some but gets hit hard by others. He collects fire into to his hand and squeezes it, concentrating it into a small high explosive ball and slams his palm to the ground, creating a shockwave of fire.
The girl launches herself high into the air to dodge it. When she lands he is already on the attack. Not a foot from her now he spin kicks a huge amount of fire that knocks her over. As soon as she hit the ground she creates an earth spire like the one she used on her last opponent, but this one has a quicker mind. He dogdes the deadly spire only a fraction of a second too slow.??He gets a nasty cut diagonally up the chest, but nothing fatal. "Damn!"She thinks. "Almost!". He makes a few motions with his hands then thrusts them out like he was gripping a bar. The firey handcuffs hold in place for the final blow. He looks up and the lord on his throne with hate and vindictiveness. The verdict is death once more for the girl. "They will get their fix." she thought. "Stop!" A voice cries from the stand.
The Animal-man flinches at the sound of his voice. "Remember who you are!" The voice yells. The freak grabs his head shaking it back and forth as if there were some nasty bees in there he wanted out. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"It half roars, half yells. "You aren't that thing! Remember!" The young man yells as he is dragged off. "NO! AHHH!" It yells. It sees the crowd booing and jeering and becomes enraged, throwing massive fireballs at the unsuspecting patrons. "Ahhh!" A woman screams, as the crowd rushes out in panic. He begins to collect fire around himself, making a huge fireball when he is once again sedated by the darts. As soon as he is out the fire cuffs holding the girl to the ground dissapate and she gets up, wringing her wrists and actually feeling sorry for Number 11. "At least I'm not dead, yet." she thinks as she walks back to the gate. "Not yet."
Now this was hard I've never wrote a fight sequence before. Tell me if it sucked. R and R please.
great job confucious and Eman. 10/10 both
here is chapter 2:

Chapter 2:
???????? Jake continued to skate across the path. He looked around everywhere and saw that this my have been the only place left that the Fire Nation hadn't destroyed. He took a moment to stop and look around a little. Then he realized that something was wrong. He looked around some more and didn't see anything. Then he heard what sounded like footsteps. He quickly ran behind a tree and listened. The footsteps were getting closer.
?????????? He looked down the path some more and saw what looked liked more Fire Nation soliders. He looked harder and saw that they were infact??two earthbenders. He got out from behind the trees and went to greet them."Hello. My name's Jake. What is your name?". "None of your concern" said the earthbenders. "Hey??I just wanted to know if you wanted to help me find the avatar". "To help him or kill him?". "To help him of course". "Then we must kill you". "What?!". "The Dai Li work for the Fire Nation alone".
?????????? The Dai Li then shot their rock hands at Jake. Jake was just barely able to stop the hands from grabbing him. The Dai Li then started to shoot little rock pellets at Jake. Jake put up a rock shield and protected himself. "I see you are an earthbender" said one of the Dai Li agents.??"So, what about it.??I can take you both on". Jake then picked up two large boulders and through one at the first agent and then the other at the second agent. Jake knew they could stop it so he picked up two more??boulders from behind them. The Dai Li then destroyed the first set of boulders that were thrown at them. Jake then grinned and threw the other??boulders behind them right at the agents. They didn't even see it coming so one boulder hit??the first??agent and the other hit the second agent.
?????????? They were knocked right off their feet. Jake then proceeded to shoot little earth darts at them and then he picked up two rocks and knocked them both in the head with them. he made sure they were still alive and then he looked around. He saw that a tank was closing in and hid. The tank drew closer and closer. When it stopped Jake pierced it with a giant earth spike. It went right through the tank. He went up to the tank and bended a piece of medal off the tank. He then began to wrap te Dai Li in it. "Lets see you get out of this". The Jake heard more footsteps and knew it was time to get moving.
So was it better? It took me a while to decide if Jake would be a metal bender like Toph, but Toph is still number one.
As long as I have nothing better to do:
Chapter 3- 5 years earlier- The North Pole.
"It's all science, isn't it?" Said the kid. He was huddled up in the corner of the small cavern and was entertaining himself with basic water-bending moves. The man whom the boy was addressing ignored the question as he poured a green liquid into a clear one, causing a big puff os smoke.
The cavern had years ago been converted into a impressive laboratory. The walls were covered with sketches and blue-prints, and everywhere you looked there were strange and rare instruments. The boy often hiked the 2 miles, in frigid snow, just to come and learn. The boy had, at home many self-made inventions, and was fascinated by the sciences of the world.
The boy returned the water he was playing with to a small canteen and asked again. "Beck! It's ALL science, no?". This time the busy-man rolled his eyes and gave the answered the question as he often did- with a question. "What is science my boy?"
"Elements. Bending." said the boy as he removed a silver ring from his pocket, and fiddled it in his fingers. "What if I could design a way to bend everything. Invent a means to make everyone a--- Avatar!" The boy spoke as if transfixed, or hypnotised by the ring in his hands. The scientist called Beck raised a eye-brow and stared-down the boy. "And why," he asked. "Would you want to accomplish this task?"
The boy's focus remained on the ring. "Imagine, if everyone could bend. No longer would man live in danger to each-other. And the villains of this world-" He said with anger, as he tightly grasped the ring, "Would Perish!". The boy had a look of satisfaction on his face.
There was moment of silence, that the boy broke when he removed a piece of parchment from his coat. "I will need all items on this list." He said as he shoved the paper into Beck's hands. "And then- witness as all elements hold at my finger-tips!"
Beck was quite. The boy would always come to his laboratory, and Beck had seen frequent mood-swings and un-scientific ramblings from the child, but he had never seen him??like this. The boy was,??distracted, almost confused, as if he was hiding something great. The scientist Beck looked at the list. There were many advanced and rare objects, that he would never have expected a 14 year old to know. "And how will you pay for this?"??Beck asked.
"I'm sure this will cover it." The Boy said as he tossed the ring at Beck's feet. It was very fine, silver with??red rubys. Beck asked, "Where did you get-
"Does it matter?" The boy interrupted. "Is so then I can??take my business elsewhere." The boy said with a smile. Beck shook his head and picked up the ring- it was VERY fine, worth the price of everything on the boy's list. Beck began to gather the items, within a couple of minutes he had everything. The boy put it all in his??pack and began to walk away.
"Oh, Beck." He said. "I found the man who murdered my parents. Just thought you should know that."
Beck??stood confused, but then returned to his work, convinced that the boy was REALLY touched in the head.
* * * * * *
"Ty-Beck! You are under arrest!" Shouted a Water-Guard. Beck scrambled to get away from him, And shouted "Under what charges!" as he tried to fight off the guard.??"The murder of Si-Teara." The guard said, As he grabbed Beck by the shoulder and put-on hand-cuffs.
"That's ridiculous! I don't evan know a Si-Teara!" Shouted Beck, with heavy fright in his voice. The Guard laughed. "Really? You don't know the rich??former-general?" The guard said in a sarcastic-voice, as he grabbed Beck's wrist. "Nice ring! Much like the one Si-Teara wore." Beck looked down terrifed at the Silver-Ring, with red rubys.
"Nooo!" He shouted. "It wasn't me! It was the orphan-boy!.. NOOO!!!"
Back in his home Izon smiled. He had at last revenged his parents death, he had 'acquired' much money from the murderer Si-Teara's Treasury. And now he had all the means to conduct his experiments. At 14 he was the youngest ever to complete the water-bending??academy, and in no time he knew he would hold power over all the Water Tribe.
And he would??eliminate all who stood in his path.????
Here is the next part of mine. Thanks for all the kind comments so far.
Hope you all enjoy.
Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with Avatar, and/or own any part of Avatar. I am just having some fun writing a story set in that world.
Title: The Walking Dead Man
Chapter 1
Spirits of the Falls
Part 1
??
???Come now dear, we???ve only a little farther to go, surely you can stay awake awhile longer, or am I truly that boring of a conversationalist,??? the farmer said a in cheerier voice than he truly felt. He was nervous and trying hard to not let her feel his hand shake as he put his arm around her waist. Hiroshu was both excited and scared at the same time, excited that maybe she could be the one to finally end his lonely existence and scared that maybe she just might not give copper coin about him. ???Well,?????? Hiroshu thought to himself, ???just remember, she has already seen you at your worse, what more do you have left to lose????
In a pleading but undefeated tone the young lass stated, ???It???s not that you are boring me, Hiroshu. It???s the fact that it is near midnight, is cold, has been raining for most of the day and night, we???re out in the middle of nowhere and you have been leading me on for hours now.??? As she made her last point, the young lady pulled his cloak tighter around herself to help fight off the damp evening chill. ???Besides, you are the one, who insisted that I keep my eyes closed while you led me here.???
???True enough, however, I only wanted to be able to surprise you, not have you go to sleep on me and miss the whole treat.??? Hiroshu pulled back the reins on his team of ostrich horses to bring the wagon to a stop. ???We are here, but I am afraid I am going to ask you to keep your sparklingly beautiful emerald eyes closed for short bit more. Take my hand and I???ll lead you to the final location.??? As she gently took hold of his hand, the farmer couldn???t help but blush, turning a deep shade of red. ???By the spirits???I am glad she isn???t seeing me blush,??? he thought to himself. ???Be careful where you step there is an out cropping of broken stone just a few feet ahead of us and I am sure you don???t want to stub your toes.??? Hiroshu, guided her around the out cropping, which was just one of many fallen and broken statues amongst the grove of large pines trees in the area. After about another quarter hour of traveling, Hiroshu brought his young lady friend to a halt in front of a large ravine. Again, in a voice much more cheerful than he felt the farmer said, ???Oh good, we did time it right and are not too late.??? Pride started to fill the farmer and he puffed his chest out like rooster rabbit. Turning his young friend to face in the direction of ravine, he told her, ???You may open those sparklingly beautiful emerald eyes of yours now, my dear Kyoko.???
Kyoko opened her eyes and stretched out before her was a gorgeous waterfall that appeared to gently caress the side of the ravine as a lover might, more so than the thunderous pounding of tons of water on rock that was actually happening. Behind the waterfall, up in the night sky was a very full brightly glowing moon that nicely backlit the waterfall, and the surrounding forest, casting everything in a warm soft comfortable light. But the most unique feature of the whole scene was not one, but two brilliant full spectrum rainbows. The first, playfully danced with the falling water across the ravine, reaching out with arms of color to eagerly hug the tops of the giant pine trees in an embrace of everlasting friendship. The second one, painted itself across the surface of the moon, and though smaller than the first one, had colors so clear, so sharp, so deep, and so intense, one could swear that all color in the world had decide to leave and went to the moon. Kyoko tried to say something, but the words caught in her throat, and nothing came out but her breathe leaving her speechless.
Hiroshu lightly put his hands around the young lass???s shoulders steadying her and as calmly as he could addressed her, ???Dear one, relax, take easy deep breathes,???that???s it, breathe in,???hold,???breathe out. Breathe in,???hold,??????
-----------
??????breathe out. That???s it Suki you have your breathing back under control. You need to stay calm and keep your breathing steady.??? The former farmer said, as he leaned back away from the fire so Suki couldn???t see his injuries as well or smell his charred flesh as easily. In a sorrowful manner, Hiroshu, told the frighten girl on the other side of the stone structure, ???You have internal injuries that are causing you to bleed on the inside. As good as you look on the outside, you are in reality in worse shape than I. Burnt very badly I am yet, it is only the surface of my body that is physically damaged.??? Hiroshu, watched as the young lass pulled his worn out cloak tighter around her in an unsuccessful attempt to keep out the damp evening chill as she took in what he was saying. The tracker now knew if he didn???t do something soon, the female child wasn???t going to ever become a woman. Again, his thought???s taunted him, threaten him, and even pleaded with him, ???do it! Take her, use her up, save yourself! Do what you know you must do!!!???
???I will do what I must,??? Hiroshu said aloud as the tracker within him gleefully eyed the dying Kyoshi warrior. ???But, I will not kill her!??? Upon hearing those words, the tracker within him angrily gave way to the former farmer and Suki gave him a very puzzled look. She tried to lift the rock into a defensive position again, however, this time the lady fighter was too weak to lift the rock. For once, there was no emotion in his voice as he spoke, ???Two things have become obvious, if something isn???t done here and now, you will be dead before I finish telling you everything I need to tell you, and the sight and stench of my burnt body may be enough to send you into the panic attack that kills you. I am going to do something that will at least in the short term solve these problems.??? Standing up, slowly moving to the roots of a tree that had busted through the roof of the stone structure, Hiroshu placed one of his hands on the roots.
Mentally saying the command, ???Upon on to you my wounds, upon on to me your health.??? The roots began to dry and rot, the bark of the tree blacked and became charred. The tracker???s loose skin reattached to muscle and became firm, the blackness faded away, however, instead of soft pink skin, the flesh became brown, harden, and bark like. The former farmer, no longer had a awful stench but smelled of pine cones. Suki frozen with shock as Hiroshu let go of the now dead roots and with purpose strolled right up to her. ???This won???t last long, trees aren???t very nourishing and as you can see have a bit of a side effect. Of course, considering the other possible options, it had to be the tree.??? He said with a slight cheeriness.
Still frozen with shock and fear, Suki could only manage a couple of lonely tears running down the sides of her face as he placed a cold rough hand on her bare thigh. ???Please, be relaxed, I am not going to harm you.??? He stated in a barely heard whisper next to the frighten and dying child???s ear. Once again, mentally saying the commands but with a slight difference, ???Upon on to you my health. Upon on to me your wounds.??? Suki felt a wave of pure light flow into her, while feeling a river of darkness flow out of her. The taste of blood in her mouth was replaced with a slight taste of pine. The leader of the Kyoshi warriors watched as cuts and bruises on her body faded and disappeared to only reappear on Hiroshu in the exact same places on him as they had been on her. When the former farmer finally removed his hand from her bare thigh, the young lass felt like she could take on those three fire nation witches by herself, and had never felt this good before. Suki noticed that in contrast the broken man before her had to crawl to get back to where he had been sitting before. With a mixture of awe, happiness, fear, shock, and above all now curiosity, the now humble warrior managed to stammer out, ???How,???how did you do that? Who,???or what are you????
Hiroshu smiled widely, softly chuckled, and spat out some blood toward the fire. While he spoke he weakly put another log on the fire, ???Now, my dear Suki, that would be getting ahead in the story. Despite, this time, my appearance we have plenty of time to get there, but other parts must be told first. Please, sit down, pull the cloak tight and continue to warm yourself by the fire, though the rain has let up it is still coming down pretty hard out there, so there is nowhere else to go for the time being.??? As the attractive young lady did what he had asked of her, the former farmer realized that Suki was wrapped in the same cloak that his beloved Kyoko wore that night so many years ago at Hugging Pines Waterfall. ???I do believe it is time for me to restart my tale.???
The leader of the Kyoshi warriors smiled warmly and nodded for Hiroshu to go on. This time she very much wanted to hear what he had to say. Because he may just become her weapon of revenge against those three fire nation witches. All she needed to do was figure out how he had switched those wounds.

Rise with the Moon- Chapter 1
(Takes place after the gaang leaves the Northern Water Tribe)
Shiro laid his hand on the ice. It was
cold, very cold. There was a full moon out, and he was at his strongest. As he
watched the firebender soldier disappear into the shadows, he moved forward.
"This was it," he thought. "It's my chance to show the others
that I can fight. They can't hold me back just because I'm only 14." He
raised his hand high up into the air, and with all of his strength, slammed it
into the ice.
?????? The firebender turned around just in time to see hundreds of
ice shards rushing at him. He made a shield of fire, trying to block them, but
one caught him in the leg and he collapsed. He tried to stand up, but couldn't.
He watched in pain as Shiro stood over him. The firebender gathered all of his
strength and unleashed a great blast of blue flames at Shiro. Shiro easily
covered himself with some snow from the ground.
?????? Shiro screamed. A group of Fire Nation soldiers had
surrounded him, and they had each sent a blast of blue flames at him. He dodged
most of them, but one got him on the arm. The soldiers had given him a scar.
Shiro quickly made walls of ice surrounding him. The soldiers sent fire at the
walls, but they stood strong. Shiro gathered all of his strength, and he once
again slammed his hand into the ice. This time, a shockwave of ice sent the
soldiers flying. He buried most of the soldiers in snow and froze them, so they
couldn't get out, even with firebending.
?????? One soldier stood up and looked at Shiro. Shiro was ready;
he was ready to fight with all of his strength. The soldier, however, did
nothing. He looked at Shiro and whispered, "You have showed me that we are
not superior to the other elements. Take me to your tribe." Shiro was
suspicious, but he led the man to the Northern Water Tribe.
It was morning. He went to Chief Arnook's palace and quietly
walked in with the man behind him. Chief Arnook began talking to the Fire
Nation man. As soon as Shiro left the palace, he saw a Fire Nation ship docked
in the harbor. Shiro ran to the ship, preparing to fight.
?????? There were Fire Nation soldiers there, but they presented no
harm. They were peacefully talking to some of the older men of the tribe. Shiro
walked down there, wondering what was going on. Shiro asked, "Why are they
here? What do they want with our tribe? They have already invaded once this
past month, and lost."
?????? One of the men replied, "They are not here for battle,
but for help. They wish to seek refuge from the Fire Nation. See, they helped
people from a sinking Earth Kingdom ship, but the
Fire Lord has discovered this. In the Fire Nation, this is a felony. They
didn't have time to go to the Earth Kingdom, because there
was already a blockade of Fire Nation ships waiting for them. They came here
with the Earth Kingdom people from the ship, knowing
that we would take them in."
?????? Shiro's dad said, "Hey, Shiro, there was an Earth Kingdom
boy on that ship, maybe you could help him find his way around. He's over by
the water."
?????? Shiro walked over to the boy. "What's your name?"
he asked.
?????? The boy replied, "Komiko. I have been separated from my
home, and it is all thanks to the Fire Nation. They bombarded our ship, and
left us for dead. But another ship luckily came along. It was a Fire Nation
ship, but these soldiers were friendly."
?????? Shiro told Komiko, "Well, I guess I'll take you to
Chief Arnook's palace first."
The two boys walked to the palace where the Fire Nation
soldier that Shiro had battled walked out to join the soldiers from the ship.
Shiro asked Chief Arnook what he wanted.
Chief Arnook replied, "Well, he wants to help us, the
Northern Water Tribe. He carries much information from the Fire Nation. His
name is Admiral Ba Zhei. He was a leader of the elite team of firebenders that
had encountered Shiro. He said that now he has seen what devastation comes from
his element, he refuses to fight for the Fire Nation, and he is gathering the
soldiers from his ship to find his elite team in the tundra, and convince them
to help. He wants you to go along with him. I guess your friend could come
too."
?????? Komiko said, "No thanks, I'd rather not go where there
is all snow and ice."
?????? Shiro interrupted, "I'll go! I want them to help our
tribe while the older waterbending men are at our sister tribe. I want these
firebenders to help, and become our ally."
?????? Chief Arnook replied, "Then so be it. Go to Admiral Ba
Zhei and tell him that you would be glad to help him find his team."
?????? Shiro asked, "But why was their team here? Wouldn't
they try to kill me again?"
?????? Chief Arnook replied, "No, Shiro. They were only there
to find a boy named Zuko who had the avatar. They didn't find him, and they
were stranded, but you helped save them by attacking them. Even if they did try
to attack you, I'm sure your skill in waterbending would bring them down."
?????? Shiro walked away with the feeling of being accepted as a

Here is the next part of mine. Thanks for all the kind comments so far. Hope you all enjoy. Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with Avatar, and/or own any part of Avatar. I am just having some fun writing a story set in that world. Title: The Walking Dead Man Chapter 1 Spirits of the Falls Part 1 ?? ----------- ??????breathe out. -------------------- The parrots are busy cleaning out their cages. |
