I agree. Oh, and it also says he was mortally wounded, not dead. That cleared another dispute up. |
Uh...a mortal wound is the same as a FATAL wound...that really means more that he DID die...

yeah... but that means the 'mortal' part of Aang died, could possibly suggest that the avatar spirit had yet to leave and by reviving him, Katara saved the avatar cycle

OK, I have a??huge problem with the fact that the CoD episode description on the site also includes dialogue between Zuko and Aang??that NEVER HAPPENED in the episode.?? I'm especially wondering about that since, to my recollection, every other episode description on the site only outlines the plot and has no dialogue at all!?? Did some lazy Nick.com staffer copy an eppy description off of imdb.com or something???
I just wrote to Nick.com asking them to correct that.?? If anyone else would like to do so as well, click here: http://www.nick.com/blab/write_nick/mail.jhtml

Here's what wikipedia has to say about it(I know most of the time wiki isn't too reliable but who would fake the definition of this?)
A Mortal Wound is an injury from battle or an accident which directly leads to the death of an individual. Death is not instantaneous, but follows the injury.
Still kinda iffy...could have...could not have...hard to say 100% ya know? that's all I'm sayin...

Yeah, I almost commented in my first post that the site confirmed that he didn't die. But unfortunately the site is equally ambiguous. 'Guess, yeah, as the nick.com says, to the frustration of all, "wait until Book III." Though that's referring to Zuko's decision, it could apply to the death thing too . . . |

If he was able to master the avatar state, he would be too powerful and action scenes would be unexciting because there would be hardly any danger. So I don't think he will. |

Mortal wound is an injury which directly leads to death but after he got mortally wounded, before he died, Katara healed him. So he did NOT die. |
Well,??based on what can you say that he was still alive and not dead already? Mortally wounded says not instantaneous, but Katara had to go back up that waterfall WAY back up to the surface, get everyone onto Appa(unless they were already on Appa), and then when they were already in the air she starts to heal him that is sure not an instant. Again, I can't say for sure, but seeing that large spiritual entity just keel over and fall, that the animators clearly depicted Katara holding Aang like Mary holding Jesus in that scuplture to me says he died...but even with that,??it isn't 100% definitive of anything.
I can't say he did or didn't, and know I'm right,??simply cuz the creators can say whatever the hell they want about it and that's final. Doesn't even have to make sense like Aang fell asleep or something...
