It is unsure, it is rumored that in 2010, there will be a live-action Avatar movie, directed by M.Night Shyamalan.

No rumors, baby =D Avatar will definitely have 3 live actions movies premiering in 2010 in theaters! Each movie will revolve around one of the books. It'll be epic. Hopefully they don't mess up, though... And now major major rumors are circulating about a spin-off. Bryke has mentioned it but never confirmed. I hope the CC will help us figure it out.

    oh really? =)

It better be good, I mean as long as they follow the plot, and hire good actors, the only thing that could go wrong is the special effects.

very emotionally charged. i could of cried at the iroh zuko reunion and when toph and sokka thought they were going to die. was it just me or was she crying there?

azula went crazy, errrrr more crazy. i half expected her to start foaming at the mouth.

yay kataang. i wish there was more with zukos mom though. and i expected Koh to return for more than second.

and i agree with above post about tophs story being unfinished which was a disappointment to me.

I was also emotional at the loss of the boomerang. I thought it would always come back... I wanted more Koh as well.

wasn't his space sword lost too. it fell but they never indicated if he got it back, and what happened to his foot they never even touched on how he hurt his leg.
he hurt it when he fell on it while holding toph and toph almost slipped and died
i assumed that i just wasn't sure. another thing was anyone else confused when the shershoe (AKA the mole thing) sniffs Aangs staff and indicates he didn't exist

Yeah I was kind of confused too
I tried to rationalize it, and I find it kind of difficult to wrap my mind around it =(

I'm not saying this is true, but i heard on another forum that the lion turtle was so old, it's scent was the same as the earth's, so it was impossible to find.

I think that is far beyond the rumor state it's planned to happen or it was last time I saw. I think the lion turtle has some short of magic field or something that made Aang invisible for the world something like that.
The lion turtle was so old it had the same scent as the earth that's so strong it overpowered Aang's scent and the shershew just thought it was smelling earth.

I love how the Libray EP foreshadowed a lot of things in the finale!
IE: The lion turtle, and the Order of the White Lotus.

ya that doesn't seem to make sense that they wouldn't be able to find Aang. i have to agree that the turtle lion is very old posably as old as the earth therefor thats why it can bend energy.

I'll probably have to put my flame shield on for this one, but honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the finale.

With all the build up with Aang stressing over how he was going to defeat the fire lord without killing him, to have the Lion Turtle just come in randomly and give him a way out seemed like a cop out by the creators because they couldn't have Aang kill anybody considering its made for nick, which is a children's network.

Another thing that makes me question the Lion Turtle is that the Avatars have been around for thousands of years, and the ones that Aang recalled when he was on the Turtle, Roku, Kyoshi, and the air and water ones, had no idea what the turtle was. In all their thousands of years the creators want you to believe that NONE of the avatars in the past came into contact with a giant floating island?

I also found it weird that the Order of the White Lotus was able to retake Ba Sing Se even when it had (presumably) hundreds of fire benders at their strongest states. I mean, I understand that the benders that were there, Iroh, Pakku, and the others, were very strong, but the comet allowed the fire benders to completely annihilate the air benders, who weren't exactly weak, and yet during the comet the White Lotus, which didn't have THAT many benders, was able to defeat the fire bending army that was supercharged.

Also, Aang being able to go into the avatar state seemed like the creators were trying to have their cake and eat it too. The guru said that unless Aang gave up Keitara he would not be able to go into the Avatar state again, yet simply because he hit a rock he was able to go into the state? Even if he had a physical barrier or whatever, wouldn't that mean all that time ago when he was woke up by Keitara he wouldn't have known who she was? Because he went into the Avatar state, which means he should have forgotten who she was, right?

Just a few things that struck me, I'm a big avatar fan, so I'd appreciate it if you guys didn't flame me for having a different opinion than you.

Oh, and another thing, I was a big Zutara shipper, so I didn't like that either. I thought that Aang would have gone into avatar state to fight Ozai, and then finish him off in some insane way, like making a volcano explode near them or something, and that would leave Zuko open with Keitara.

I really didn't mind Aang going with Katara because I wanted whats best for Aangy and Zuko looks like he is nuts over Mei so I feel for you Zutaras out there.

is there going to be a new series / spinoff or is it the fans just making it up

That was my worry. But I've grown accustomed to the idea and now I think it sounds awesome. But the movies may be rushed, which is my main concern.

Yeah, I had some concerns, but right now i'm just thinking any more Avatar material would be welcome and appreciated.
