1). giant turtle bending, although awesome, was an easy way out so the writers didn't have to develope any sort of GOOD ending

2). the fight scene was freaking awesome. the battling colors=great cinamotogrophy (or drawing i guess) on behalf of whoever is in charge of the creative stuff

3). Zuko got distracted when he saw Katara, and didn't have time to focuz on redirecting it and just took the hit. It shout up to show that he couldm't redirect it. Hey it had to go somewhere? It couldn't just dissolve into his body.

4). It don't think it's retarted because Zuko's character is an anti-vigilant. So he doesn't struggle with stupid stupid morals like Aang.

5). Aang's character is just soooo very lame. But hey, it's a kid's show.

    1. I don't think that about the lion-turtle. I think it was a creative way to solve the problem.

    2. I agree. It was stunning.

    3. No, Zuko took the hit from Katara. There was no time to redirect it, and he knew that. He just flew in between Katara and the lightening. And I believe he redirected some of it. There was a brief scene of lightening in the sky.

    5. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Aang is his own person. He basically follows the religious path of Buddhists and other things related to that. He is not lame. He has a clear cut vision of what he wants, it just takes him a while to figure out how to get there. He's funny, careless (at times) yet VERY caring, loving, young, and innocent. He's very relatable and I think that makes him a top notch character.

The fact that bloodbending can only be done during a full moon pretty much ruined any chances of it happening more then once after the puppetmaster episode. I agree she could have atleast talked about it with the GAang more, or Zuko could have said something instead of standing there like she was naked, but I guess the creators decided to leave it at that. That was enough for me anyway. Bloodbending is pretty much the ultimate bending, other then giant turtle bending, so im glad they didnt give it more screen time. It wouldve just made fight scenes boring and dull. Speaking of fight scenes, I have to say that the Zuko vs. Azula fight scene was the most adrenaline rushed, exciting, colorful, orgasmic audio-having scene in Avatar, or any other anime (except maybe DBZ) that I have ever seen. I am still confused about whether or not Zuko actually REDIRECTED the lighting that Azula shot. It looked like he stuck his fingers out as if he were trying to, but it looked like it overwhelmed him. When I saw his arms go into his chest I thought he was finished, but then a random streak of lightning shot into the sky. IDK abotu you guys but that seems wierd to me. AND it left a scar to so how could he have possible redirected it?!?!?!?!?!?! Another thing...who thinks its retarded that ZUKO has the balls to redirect lighting at HIS OWN FATHER, THE FIRELORD, but Aang doesn't have the balls to redirect it at HIS ENEMY...??!??!?!?! That seems completely retarded to me

But when aang was hit by the lightning in the season 2 finale it just hit him, it didnt redirect somewhere else...

inconsistancy by the writers maybe? Idk.

Yeah, there were so many parts of the show, where they could have made it soooooo much better, but it wouldn't be "kid appropriate."

Like the scene where Sokka was supposed to meet Suki in the tent lmaooo . Good, good times.
But isn't Sokka a little young to do THAT?? And how many times has Sokka seen Suki, about three times on seperate occasions. Oh, sorry if I ruined this post with my boring rants , THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!
Lol. Well, they spent a lot of time together with the other Kyioshi warriors. No one's ever too young to do the nasty =] Well, yeah, maybe you can be. Lol. DIDN'T STOP SOKKA FROM TRYING!

Sokka is like 16! Mos' def not too young. Holy crap. How much would you have loved if one of the character had an affair, but it didn't turn into a freaking zutara love story. No, like just a one-night stand.

that would have been really juicy and a little bit mature for the kiddies, sheesh. But I wonder who it could be. Aang, no way 'cause he's Aang, the peace man. Toph, she's blind, point taken. It would have to be either Suki or Zuko, not Katara, 'cuase she's goody goody girl.

The blood would've ruined it. I don't think that more action was needed, but just more in-depth topics. Such as Katara, as mentioned before, becoming a bit darker. I don't want more action. I don't want any blood. I want more moving scenes.

I agree with your whole lightning theory. That makes the most sense I suppose.

But my problem with Aang, although he's just so endearing, he's unrealistic. NO ONE IS THAT PURE.

Ohhh but katara had so much potential to be a more dark and mature character. Remember how she got all evil and devolved and only wanted revenge? They could have kept her kinda dark. It woudl have worked. Yeah and the fight scenes werer good as they are.

'Cept little ol' Aang. He was raised to be like that. And not only that, he's the AVATAR! He's supposed to think clearly. It's in his blood. The Avatar has to be able to think under unbiased terms. Those two things merged creates a very pure kid. He might be confused, but still pure. Aang knows what he should do, but he also knows what is right. He chooses what is right.

    lol at number 4

I agree though he's 12?! I thought he would understand once he talked to Avatar Kyoshi that he was making the killing issue about him and not about the good of all people! I don't understand how that couldnt convince him ugh!! I mean he knows he's supposed to bring peace to the world, sometimes that means you have to do tasks you don't want to do!!

LondonParisNYC, I suggest you watch a show called Angel, it's a very dark show, and with dark twists and the hero himself has a really dark pass, I think you'd like it.

Speaking of zhao..didnt aang KILL zhao?!?!?! Even if he was in the avatar state, no one thought it was wierd that he killed him? When aang is in the avatar state he isnt even that much of a threat...so I didn't see the point in that. And the way he died wasn't even graphis, im assuming that he drowned since aang pulled him into the water with him...idk. im confused and i hope everything is explained in the continuation of the show. ALL SHALL BE REVIELED ON JULY 24th!!!!

No, like just a one-night stand.

but think about it even if the show was on another channel, and it was out of sight form the little ones eyes. think about it, Aangs 12 years old, how many 12 year olds do you know that would kill someone like Ozai, or do naughty things. i mean even in Aangs position he was raised by Monks how "bad" can he be.

I don't expect Aang to be a rebel. I don't expect any of them to (except Toph XD). Aang will always be pure, innocent Aang. But, in times like when Appa was captured, sometimes the balance and purity gets clouded. We could've seen a much darker side of Aang if this wasn't a kid's show. With Katara, we probably would've seen more blood bending. This isn't being "bad", per say, this is just acknowledging that everyone has a darker side that's hard to control.

1). giant turtle bending, although awesome, was an easy way out so the writers didn't have to develope any sort of GOOD ending

2). the fight scene was freaking awesome. the battling colors=great cinamotogrophy (or drawing i guess) on behalf of whoever is in charge of the creative stuff

I agree with number 4. that makes sense.

But my problem with Aang, although he's just so endearing, he's unrealistic. NO ONE IS THAT PURE.

    lol at number 4

I agree though he's 12?! I thought he would understand once he talked to Avatar Kyoshi that he was making the killing issue about him and not about the good of all people! I don't understand how that couldnt convince him ugh!! I mean he knows he's supposed to bring peace to the world, sometimes that means you have to do tasks you don't want to do!!

gahh i made a mistake. I mean to say I agreed with your lightning theory, i just realized there was no number 4 lol.
