badger moles = source of earth bending Dragons = source of fire bending Sky Bisons = source of air bending Moon = source of water bending

The source of firebending is either the sun or other celestial bodies like a comet.

The original firebenders/earthbenders/airbenders/waterbenders: dragons/badgermoles/sky bisons/Moon & Ocean.

Source =/= original bender (except in the case of waterbending)
