we don't know. hopefully itll be answered later. but the first avatar was an air avatar because the cycle goes air, water, eath, fire.

If my idea for a spinoff comes to fruition, then we will have an answer to that question.

I have always maintained that the spinoff, if there is one, will focus on the first Avatar. It will be called: Avatar: The Legend Begins...or something similiar. The storyline has the potential to be more epic than the Legend of Aang.

Avatar Spirit is fan site, so it can't be 100% trusted. If you check the DVD or if you've downloaded the show, and look at the credits it says her name is June. Check Bato of the Water Tribe & Sozin's Comet Part 2: The Old Masters.

Avatar isn't a Japanese/Chinese show. It was influenced by Asian culture though, but not only Asian, so not everything in the show would be Asian.

    I have a question:

We spent a one hour long movie to break Hakoda out of the Boiling Rock. However, Hakoda, Haru, and everyone else who was with the gang at the Western Air Temple did not play a significant part in the series finale. My question is, where was Hakoda and everyone else suring Sozin's Comet? Wasn't the entire group going to make a plan? Its like they all disappeared!

They were seperated in TSR. The sub gAang wasn't going to play a large part in the finale, so Bryke made them part that way. Towards the end they reunited.
I'm pretty surprised they just kinda forgot about them at the finale. They said they would make a plan, but they never did.
Those characters were never all that important. I'm kind of happy we didn't see them that much. I would much rather see members of the gAang than Haru or something.
I hope you are joking. You would rather see Team Avatar than Haru? Besides Azula and The Boulder, Haru is the most awesome chatacter in the show. I was hoping they would feature him more, but my hopes were dashed.

I would have at least liked it if Hakoda, Haru, and the others joined up with the Order of the White Lotus and helped attack Ba Sing Se. I found The Boiling Rock almost like a non-important episode because of this....

It was important because Zuko & Sokka became friends, because Sokka was reunited with his father and with his girlfriend.

After that, those guys weren't really that important. Besides I don't think Chit Zang (sp?) would want to fight in a war.

"3) Mai and Ty Lee betray Azula, ultimately leading to her downfall during Sozin's Comet"

true, it was because of that that zuko/katara could take her down, in a way. but suki's joining of the gaang is also a point to be noted.
