| In the article cited that divulges the death of Jet, I found some of the wording oddly specific. In reference to the final battle that will decide the fate of the world, the writers have chosen not to say the battle between Aang and Ozai, but rather between Aang and the Fire Lord. Here's what I think; when Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee posed as the Kyoshi warriors in front of the Earth King, they had a close-up on Azula's face when he told them of the "Day of the Black Sun" showing her thinly veiled surprise. Now, Azula would lose her ability to firebend on that day as well, but with the Dai Li, she would have a formidable and uneffected army at her command. She shows so little regard to family ties, so it wouldn't be beneath her to dethrone her own father. To those who have speculated the death of Iroh, I (begrudgingly) agree. It would be an effective catalyst for the transformation of Zuko. |
That, i must say, is an excellent theory by the way, i kinda thought along those lines too recently but I hadnt thought of Iroh dying. That would mean wither Zuko or Jeong Jeong would have to teach Aang firebending
