In the article cited that divulges the death of Jet, I found some of the wording oddly specific. In reference to the final battle that will decide the fate of the world, the writers have chosen not to say the battle between Aang and Ozai, but rather between Aang and the Fire Lord.

Here's what I think; when Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee posed as the Kyoshi warriors in front of the Earth King, they had a close-up on Azula's face when he told them of the "Day of the Black Sun" showing her thinly veiled surprise. Now, Azula would lose her ability to firebend on that day as well, but with the Dai Li, she would have a formidable and uneffected army at her command. She shows so little regard to family ties, so it wouldn't be beneath her to dethrone her own father.

To those who have speculated the death of Iroh, I (begrudgingly) agree. It would be an effective catalyst for the transformation of Zuko.

That, i must say, is an excellent theory by the way, i kinda thought along those lines too recently but I hadnt thought of Iroh dying. That would mean wither Zuko or Jeong Jeong would have to teach Aang firebending

I like that theory... but I think Iroh will die in the last episode during the final battle between Aang and the Fire Lord.

I know! HAIR LOOPIES ARE GONE!!!!

NOOO!!!! kartara without her hair loopies is like sokka without his boomerang!!!

If they're changing 'dos so they go unnoticed in the Fire Nation(which seems to be the reason) then wouldn't it make sense for Katara to get rid of something everyone knows her for? Like Aang and the bald head with an arrow...

here's a random and possibly stupid speculation. what if Avatar Roku came to Zuko in like a dream or something. and he's like "I don't usually do this for people who aren't the avatar but, what the beep did you just do? there's a reason I let you go at the temple, remember?"

Finally!?? I'm done reading all of the posts.?? I think I deserve a medal.

Well, as far as the firebending teacher thing, I am a fan of someone related to Kuzon (Aang's old Fire Nation friend) teaching Aang.?? Maybe Kuzon's great-grandson or something.?? If Iroh does teach Aang any firebending, it will be like Jeong Jeong--a one episode thing.?? I think the creators will stick with the "group of teenagers" theme when it comes to a firebending teacher.

This are two ideas I just had concerning Ozai and Toph respectively.

The first is speculation on what Toph will do with her newfound metalbending. My guess? The Fire Nation uses some sort of giant siege weapon similar to the Drill (possibly a giant robot of some sort) at some point, which the gaang stops...and Toph, using her metalbending, proceeds to use said giant robot against the Fire Nation. If that's the case...then the Fire Nation is as good as beat. I mean, Toph in a giant robot...that's just awesome. Second, Ozai is a spirit of some sort (probably not the Sun Spirit...that contradicts the show's message of balance) that is directly assosiated with Fire. As such, he'll be the only Firebender capable of defending the Fire Nation on the Darkest Day.

I personnally think that the first is much more likely then the second. The second is only based on the fact that Ozai dosen't really appear to be human.

Also, these ideas might have been stated earlier in this topic...I wouldn't know, I haven't read through the whole thing yet. I apoligize if they have been.

Katara looks really stupid in the hair loopies and braid. It makes her face look really pointy and big. With her facial features, she should wear her hair DOWN.
