Zutara is only good for pron. There is no logic to it.
Kataang all the way!

Yay! I'm glad you're noticing the improvements we're trying to make with presenting our Zutara viewpoints.

KATAQUALAD FTW! This was in Nick Mag itself, so it's totally canon! XD

Although I also object, it is definately
lol...KATAQUALAD FTW!
I was watching the infamous collection of "ZUTARA Evidence for the Intellectual Dummy" and I am very sick, some details are hilarious and some rather depressing ...
For example:with respect to the findings of the chapters of "The Fortuneteller" and "The Siege of North, Part II" Zutara conclusion on the fate of Aang is very subjective, severe and very negative: as Aunt Wu is very wise The fate of Aang is not to have love in his life! "It must stop loving Katara and sacrificed for the sake of the world" ... in a nutshell:
Aang must die for the world! And "Katara want a tall and handsome young man" (Aang can not grow much less be handsome) ...
It is very depressing and very convenient...

The video is full of negative arguments and you can't prove negative arguments.
It's like saying genesis occured because we don't have solid proof of evolution.

Think of it as an argument where someone says that an object is either a car or a tree and then gives you some vague discription about it. Well, if the discription doesn't fit for a tree, it must be a car.

Zuko does have the closest connection with Mai because he grew up with her. However, I have a feeling the controversy surrounding the Maiko Break - Up or Make - Up will be answered in the Boiling Rock. There have been instinces of unrequited or one - sided love in Avatar so who knows if Maiko will withstand the test?
As far as the final relationship outcome of Avatar, I am prepared to go down with my ship if Zutara does not happen. I love it and believe in it so I'm sticking with it till the end. All I pray is that if Kataang wins out - Mike and Bryan do a good job and not make it too corny. However, if Zutara does win - then I'm gonna be all smiles. Either way - I will be willing to accept the outcome.

I understand where you are coming from. I would be disappointed that they (the creators) didn't take advantage or use the potential of Zuko and Katara in a relationship. (besides anger and "face of the enemy" stuff) That is what I like ultimately about the pairing - it has such good potential. I hate it when people say that it's "too mature" or is comparable to "pron". Sure - there are probably people out there that like that stuff but I like how the characters could relate and, if given the chance, be quite a formidable couple. All this though is a matter of opinion and preferences for what one likes to see in a couple. I wish they would do an interactive game where you could choose who Katara would be with. Then no one would be entirely disappointed.

I like the message Zutara sends to kids. "Remember, it doesn't matter how many times you betray or hurt someone. If your smexy enough they'll forgive you." |
Hey, either way, it's better than saying "Bury your head in the sand to become a sand ninja."

I agree the pair has some potential which is why I like it as fanon. Since it has enough... "umph!" to inspire people and entertain the fans. Still, for me, the real Zutara make or break was back in season 2 at the end. That way the romance, if any, would have been between the lines, just like Kataang, and it wouldn't have gotten much in my comedy/action/non-romantic drama plot. But if they make it Zutara... to think of all the time it will take to make it ok.... (shudder) Honestly I'm more accepting of 2 quicky romantic moments and that is it. All Kataang needs is bascly a "Hey, Aang, I love you too. Now that that's said let's go back to kicking butt." and for Maiko just a "Hey Zuko, we're still dating. Now let me go betray your sister (Thing that I REALLY believe and hope it will hapen) so we can get off this romantic train"
To me Zutara needs a 15 chapter fic (more or less, depends on the person) to make it understandable. We were promised so much (excluding shipping) and there's some juicy actiony possibilities that could SO happen that I'd rather see. Like Suki brainwashed. Seriously that's the only way Azula can regain her points with me since she let Suki live (apparently). That could truly be Sokka's moment! My mouth just waters thinking abot it.
Plus there's Koh and the spirit world, Royal family grampa whodoneit and where's Ursa, what's Iroh up to, Mai's letter, the comet is coming people, we're missing one villain, the avatar state fix (if it comes), Sokka and Katara's mom death, Azula beaten, where the heck is Suki?!, white lotus society, and the major kick butt action that comes with all of that (and anything I may have missed; I'm half asleep and this was from memory). I love avatar and I'm still here for all of the above, especially if they aren't just crapmed together. Considering time and the actual state in which we left Zuko and Katara... Zutara's looking better and better in fanfics and fanart, since you have all the creative license and all time of the world to explore it and make it as you want it.
Besides I'm 2 b1tchy scenes away to make a Katara AMV of "I'm a b1tch I'm a lover" and I'm just loving her new attitude. (Is that weird? XD) And Zuko's "Ok, Are you done ?" attitude towards her. I love the look he gave her in TFM. It really conveys that to me. Awesome. XD
