I loved Jin! She's so cute. I was more of a Jin/Zuko than Maiko.

Well, Maiko was partially foreshadowed in Zuko Alone. So, they came about around the same times. I didn't pick up on the Maiko vibe until very recently.

Oh yeah. Zuko Alone came before Tales of Ba Sing Se...but they didn't have much Maiko until season 3 anyway.

Yeah, I know. I didn't notice the first couple times through. But I enjoy Jin and Zuko so much more. I think Jin would've helped Zuko become a much better person. But, I guess that role was already taken by Iroh.

Ya. Jin/Zuko is not like Maiko. I mean, Mai and Zuko's relationship is straightforward. But then again, so are their personalities

I'm gone for a week and suddenly the discussion has turned to Jinko? Awesome! I've had trouble finding people who like this ship. Jinko>Maiko>Zutara, in my opinion.

Well I wouldn't go too far with that, I also support Jetara. Jetara>Kataang=Zutara. I don't really prefer either of the latter two over one another. As far as the whole Kataang Zutara debate, I kind of like Zutara, but I didn't really see the sparks fly on screen. Kataang I felt was a little forced, and yes the age thing does matter. At the same time, I don't really like Taang, so Kataang is my ship when it comes strictly to Aang. Then again, my whole plan for the finale was for Aang to fell the firelord in one suicidal Avatar state blow, discontinuing the Avatar line, but inspiring the people to coexist peacefully by his death. My whole take on the series was that the Avatar was an anachronistic god figure who had to fix the world's problems that it couldn't resolve. In other words, something that people in their intended state shouldn't need. I kind of saw Aang as a christlike figure, and would have interpreted his death as a means to the Avatar world's salvation. I also would have killed Azula and Toph for dramatic reasons. I also would have obviously never killed Jet, but that's a whole 'nother can o' worms.

Killing Azula and Toph wouldn't add anything to the series except a small thrill of the audience, which would dissapoint me because it wouldn't be for the show but for the viewers.

I wouldnt mind so much if Azula dies but Toph and Aang dying i would cry my eyes out. (toph is one of my favorite characters and i am a huge Aang fangirl! I do agree that kataang was a little bit forced but then again katara had shown a little bit of an interest in Aang (the headband) and she was the one who approached him at the end of the finale whcih according to the book was several months after the comet so Aang hadn't approached Katara about their relationship since Ember Island.

    Azula dying? AZULA DYING?!!!

rgc19, you have incurred my undying wrath. Azula's survival was (I feel) one of the key elements in the epicness of the finale.

Also, there was nothing forced about Kataang, except for the fact that they weren't together by the end of Season 2. If anything Kataang was repressed, not forced.

No comment on Toph or Jet.

I agree that by Azula dying much of the epicness of the finale would've been lost. It's not just because I'm an Azula fan, either. If she had died during the agni kai I personally would've been dissapointed. Zuko was never out to kill her, I don't think he would ever wish that upon her (TSR). That would kill Zuko's character immediately in my eyes. Also, by having Azula die we wouldn't have seen the epic scene where she goes crazy in the hand cuffs. That was my second favourite scene in the whole entire finale (next to Zuko and Iroh meeting up again, that made me BAWL). AND THEN Azula had absolutely no reason to die. They weren't out to kill her. If they HAD killed her, I would've been dissapointed. That would've been over dramatic and unneccessary. IMO, at least.
