Wiselad, the examples you supplied are not at all accurate. We're not handing out TOS violations just for kicks and we're not unapproachable robots who burn you for asking questions. That doesn't happen. Ever. Someone may report you for no reason, but if that's the case, nothing will happen. Staff and the Mods research every violation in our queue and make decisions based on the facts.

Danmod, even if you don't respond to them- AT LEAST READ THEM! If you just skip over them and read the latest post, that's disrespectful for us.

He did it! He responded like I asked him! Whoohooo!

And BTW, you're lying. If you actually DID that, I'd be banned by now.

    Tessa- Thanks I used one

I hope someone in the TV staff or Mods listen to Wiselads ideas. Maybe the forum can be a peaceful place again (with non-crazy Mods)

we have "the racco show", and than someone posts who is a fan of "the prince of the shadowlight kingdom"

"this show is super-retarded, the fans are dumb-$#$#$, and the actors don't have any talent whatsoever, they need to go to the streets and panhandle"

that I can understand and agree that they should get TOS

but another member says "the racco show is IN MY OPINION childish, but some fans enjoy that, and I respect that, even if I don't understand why. I think the actors should try to improve their skills, in order to improve their chances in their career"

basically same thing yet different and more constructive, and in this last case, i don't see why it should get a TOS, but if it gets reported, it will get TOS because someone considered flaming its fav show, and reported it

were r u going with this - i feel like u all turing won me just because dan is trying to lay down the law since the board is out of control.!

I retract post 103, but I know by seeing it by my own eyes.......... that someone did post a criticism that was without fowl language and honest and using true facts, and later on(like 2 hrs later) it got deleted because someone reported it as flaming his fav show, and whoever took modding duties affirmed the view of one who reported it

This forum is giving us all a headache. If you guys want to blame me for the problems here, that's fine, it's dumb, but it's fine. First of all, I'm not a Moderator, I'm a Staff member. Second - I don't ban anyone without good reason. I don't ban people because their signature is too big and I don't ban people for simply insulting me or this site, although I'd prefer you PM me with your problems rather than post them in a forum because it's a classier thing to do. Anyone who has ever been banned from this site has been banned for good reason and given fair warning that the ban was coming - there have been no surprises. If everyone read the Terms of Service, like they should have when they signed up, they might not have been banned.

It seems to me, you've take this forum and used it to insult each other, make fun of other folk's taste in TV shows, etc., and that is against the rules. If you don't follow the rules, you get a violation - that's a warning. If you can't take the hint, why should the rest of us continue to put up with your nonsense? TV.com is supposed to be a place where people can get together to discuss their favorite shows, contribute information, and have a bit of fun. If you want to pick fights with people, do it somewhere else.

And if you're a banned user, don't email me saying your brother/sister/roommate/dog/whatever got a hold of your account and said those awful things and you're innocent. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that story I'd be a rich man. If you're giving out your password or allowing people to post using your account, you've got bigger problems than just being banned. Also - if you've got a bunch of TOS violations, and get banned, don't email me asking for another chance, don't tell me you promise to behave and you're really sorry and all that - I don't want to hear it, none of us do. Every TOS violation you received that DID NOT lead to a ban was warning enough. Again - if you can't take a hint, not our problem. I also don't want to hear anyone complaining that they were simply, "defending themselves." The rules state, very clearly, that abuse should be reported through the "Report Abuse" link. If you lash out in defense, you're going to get a TOS violation, it's as simple as that. A lot of the problems you may be experiencing could probably have been avoided by simply reading the Terms of Service. Come on guys, it's really not that long. Finally, any user who boldly states, "I don't care if you ban me", o, "Go ahead and ban me!" - to that I say, "Sure, no problem." Don't come back a day later asking me why you were banned.

If you have a problem with anything I've written here today, feel free to send me a PM. Since it seems that a lot of you can't behave in a mature way, we'll be keeping an eye on the forum. Fair warning has been given, and will continue to be given, to everyone. I suggest you pay attention.

Words from Brady at The Refuge:

Well, I logged onto TV.com today to see how I was doing in the Disciple voting. And I found a new message in my folder. It said that I had been banned from TV.com for 7 days, which means I can't vote for Disciples anymore. Here is the message I recieved:

    http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n431/BradyBannister5/Untitled38.jpg

Well, I wondered something: Why would I be suspended from TV.com? I had no part in the Rebellion other than simply trying to calm everyone down and laughing at some of the funny posts. Well, apparently, laughing is Disruptive and Off Topic (sarcasm). I'm not sure if my added TOS (which I have VERY LITTLE of) or just this one post did it, but this is the last TOS I got before getting suspended. Apparently, I was suspended because of the post below: http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n431/BradyBannister5/Untitled39.jpg

Yep, THIS is the Straw that broke the Camels back. THIS is disruptive. Apparently, you can't just laugh at someone else's trollish thread without being suspended. Basically, people were putting troll threads. One was called "My mom eats pancakes." To calm everyone down, I simply laughed at the title using a laughing smilie. But, that's disruptive posting and I deserve to be suspended for it! (/sarcasm again) Really TV.com, I can understand suspending the person who put this thread, and I can maybe understand giving me a TOS WARNING for replying, but when your suspending ME, just for replying to one thread, THINGS GET BAD! Why must they torture us like this? I have done nothing wrong on TV.com, and I didn't troll the forums. I just can't understand it. Thanks to this, I cannot place my final vote for Disciple, of which I had already made up my mind. Please, everyone read this and reply, I wanna hear what everyone has to say.

Going back to the question of if glitchis could be the bossible cause of some of our grife, did anyone notice they were their punishment was being "pan" not "ban"

Maybe the mods and staff should look into this.

I'd post a YouTube link of some Phoenix Wright music when someone says "OBJECTION", due to the presentation of hardcore evidence about some crackpot modding, but I'm quite fearful of getting modded myself.

THAT's the kinda stuff we're talking about, danmod. Seems that delivery effects whether you're modded or not too. If I respond to a vulgar, trolling thread with "How sad. Take this immature idiocy somewhere else, please." I'm fine, but if I go "You're an idiot, leave now." I'll probably get my posted deleted and/or be suspended for a bit.
