This forum is giving us all a headache. If you guys want to blame me for the problems here, that's fine, it's dumb, but it's fine. First of all, I'm not a Moderator, I'm a Staff member. Second - I don't ban anyone without good reason. I don't ban people because their signature is too big and I don't ban people for simply insulting me or this site, although I'd prefer you PM me with your problems rather than post them in a forum because it's a classier thing to do. Anyone who has ever been banned from this site has been banned for good reason and given fair warning that the ban was coming - there have been no surprises. If everyone read the Terms of Service, like they should have when they signed up, they might not have been banned.

It seems to me, you've take this forum and used it to insult each other, make fun of other folk's taste in TV shows, etc., and that is against the rules. If you don't follow the rules, you get a violation - that's a warning. If you can't take the hint, why should the rest of us continue to put up with your nonsense? TV.com is supposed to be a place where people can get together to discuss their favorite shows, contribute information, and have a bit of fun. If you want to pick fights with people, do it somewhere else.

And if you're a banned user, don't email me saying your brother/sister/roommate/dog/whatever got a hold of your account and said those awful things and you're innocent. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that story I'd be a rich man. If you're giving out your password or allowing people to post using your account, you've got bigger problems than just being banned. Also - if you've got a bunch of TOS violations, and get banned, don't email me asking for another chance, don't tell me you promise to behave and you're really sorry and all that - I don't want to hear it, none of us do. Every TOS violation you received that DID NOT lead to a ban was warning enough. Again - if you can't take a hint, not our problem. I also don't want to hear anyone complaining that they were simply, "defending themselves." The rules state, very clearly, that abuse should be reported through the "Report Abuse" link. If you lash out in defense, you're going to get a TOS violation, it's as simple as that. A lot of the problems you may be experiencing could probably have been avoided by simply reading the Terms of Service. Come on guys, it's really not that long. Finally, any user who boldly states, "I don't care if you ban me", o, "Go ahead and ban me!" - to that I say, "Sure, no problem." Don't come back a day later asking me why you were banned.

If you have a problem with anything I've written here today, feel free to send me a PM. Since it seems that a lot of you can't behave in a mature way, we'll be keeping an eye on the forum. Fair warning has been given, and will continue to be given, to everyone. I suggest you pay attention.
