Which means he's ban everybody who doesn't read his mind to figure out what his next inane rule will be. (Like the previous time this has happened.)

People only really flame the noobs, unless there's a war. And that doesn't happen often. At least it didn't, back BEFORE the noobs invaded.

    WTF IS THIS?!?!?
First off "Me, You, and this Forum"?!?!? You act like we are idiots!
Second, "This forum is giving us all a headache. If you guys want to blame me for the problems here, that's fine, it's dumb, but it's fine.". Once again, you make it sound like we are all idiots! Also, go take some aspirin if your head hurts!
Third, "And if you're a banned user, don't email me saying your brother/sister/roommate/dog/whatever got a hold of your account and said those awful things and you're innocent. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that story I'd be a rich man.". Wow, just wow. We really dont care if you would be a rich man! BTW, you make us all sound like brats now!
Fourth, and last, "If you have a problem with anything I've written here today, feel free to send me a PM. Since it seems that a lot of you can't behave in a mature way, we'll be keeping an eye on the forum. Fair warning has been given, and will continue to be given, to everyone. I suggest you pay attention.". You are THREATNING us?!? So now what? What are you going to do. All of the MODs have already banned, or suspended 75% of the Avatar forum! If you ban, or suspend any more people, no one will come here anymore!

And BTW, you said here "If you guys want to blame me for the problems here, that's fine..", so if I get a TOS, suspended, or banned, your toast. You got that?!?! Toast.

danmod, do you know that not many people know that firefox "remembers the passwords"?

that is basically what happened in the biggest reason so many people are highly emotional

a member who is dearly beloved had an issue with someone who knows her, and that person was able to use her account thanks to firefox, and intentionally did things to ban her, and asked people to report her(posting as it was she)

do you know that some people might have a sibling also having an account? so if you punish an IP, you might harm an innocent one?

do you know that is easy to resurrect a very old thread from 4 months ago, than report a very old post from someone who was immature back than, but has matured since than, and than you take action(since there are so many reports you(mods) don't look carefully)kind of unjustly, rather than ask the person to go back and delete their forgotten thread on their own

I personally hate "reporting anyone for the smallest things" even if it is in "the letter of the rules"

I prefer to PM that person and give her or him a chance to fix it

many people are "report trigger happy", and sometimes you take "too fast actions" and thus the many people who feel they unjustly got a warning or TOS when if you had looked carefully, you would have seen it was not disruptive or disrespectful at all the post

many posts are easily posts that the "implied perception" might not be the "intended meaning" as it happened to me almost a year ago

This forum is giving us all a headache. If you guys want to blame me for the problems here, that's fine, it's dumb, but it's fine. First of all, I'm not a Moderator, I'm a Staff member. Second - I don't ban anyone without good reason. I don't ban people because their signature is too big and I don't ban people for simply insulting me or this site, although I'd prefer you PM me with your problems rather than post them in a forum because it's a classier thing to do. Anyone who has ever been banned from this site has been banned for good reason and given fair warning that the ban was coming - there have been no surprises. If everyone read the Terms of Service, like they should have when they signed up, they might not have been banned.

It seems to me, you've take this forum and used it to insult each other, make fun of other folk's taste in TV shows, etc., and that is against the rules. If you don't follow the rules, you get a violation - that's a warning. If you can't take the hint, why should the rest of us continue to put up with your nonsense? TV.com is supposed to be a place where people can get together to discuss their favorite shows, contribute information, and have a bit of fun. If you want to pick fights with people, do it somewhere else.

And if you're a banned user, don't email me saying your brother/sister/roommate/dog/whatever got a hold of your account and said those awful things and you're innocent. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that story I'd be a rich man. If you're giving out your password or allowing people to post using your account, you've got bigger problems than just being banned. Also - if you've got a bunch of TOS violations, and get banned, don't email me asking for another chance, don't tell me you promise to behave and you're really sorry and all that - I don't want to hear it, none of us do. Every TOS violation you received that DID NOT lead to a ban was warning enough. Again - if you can't take a hint, not our problem. I also don't want to hear anyone complaining that they were simply, "defending themselves." The rules state, very clearly, that abuse should be reported through the "Report Abuse" link. If you lash out in defense, you're going to get a TOS violation, it's as simple as that. A lot of the problems you may be experiencing could probably have been avoided by simply reading the Terms of Service. Come on guys, it's really not that long. Finally, any user who boldly states, "I don't care if you ban me", o, "Go ahead and ban me!" - to that I say, "Sure, no problem." Don't come back a day later asking me why you were banned.

If you have a problem with anything I've written here today, feel free to send me a PM. Since it seems that a lot of you can't behave in a mature way, we'll be keeping an eye on the forum. Fair warning has been given, and will continue to be given, to everyone. I suggest you pay attention.

    Danny Boy... why so serious?

Now that it's pinned I don't think it matters that it's not Avatar related. So the replies have to be on the topic of the first post.

Danmod, you do see the contradictions in your post don't you? This reaction of yours to all the commotion that has been brought up in the past few days, or even longer, makes you no different from the users who are extremely ticked off. And you wonder why you all, the mods and staff, have a headache about the whole situation. I'm not going to sugar coat it: You, the other staff members, the mods, as well as the users here, lack compassion and understanding. Point blank. I don't say that to offend you all. I say that because I like you all. Especially my Avatard brothers and sisters.

The mods and staff are going about this the wrong way. And my fellow Avatards aren't necessarily going about it the right way either. It's a shame to come back here and see so many "friends" have left and what not. And it's an extreme shame to hear that the relationship between the mods, staff, and users hasn't improved.

I suggest my fellow Avatards take up the Owlistic principles and not fuel this thread any longer. I offer the [/thread] symbol. And I ask of you, Danmod, to delete this thread and/or rewrite it. Because the way it is now is counterproductive.

    a clarification

lot of people here make a difference between noobs and newbs(they separate terms)

is true that sometimes some of us jump the gun with people who seem very naive, but it is because too many dread the idea of a troll coming over here

that might be "easily fixed" if you could make it so only members who have 20 or 25 posts can "start new threads"

too many times we get this(and this with no replies at all)

    threads, and in order

    "when is the finale coming?"

"when can I see sozin's comet?"

"is it true that the end will be aired saturday?"

    "yay, finale is coming"

all of this while in the pinned threads we got "official list of when episodes will be aired"

I agree with WiseLad. He made several valid points. A mistake had been made in her banning, lots of mistakes had been made. Its plain to see no one wants her gone!
