I know this isn't too important, but what exactly do people mean when they say "In before the lock"? I've seen it but never understood it, but it looks like something bad to say.

That's when somebody's posted a thread that everybody knows is going to be locked, like OMGGGGEEEEZ JET IS DEAD? WHO KNEW?!?!?!?!?! Since it's clear that the thread will be locked, people post "in before the lock" because they have posted before the lock.

It means they posted in the thread before it gets locked.

if I went to the Brutnie Spirs forum and posted " I am sad that for a while before she saw she was bipolar, she acted like a streetwalker, showed her privates parts in public, maybe used drugs, and did enough crazy stuff that she lost custody of her children" and someone "reported me" for flaming "poor Brutnie", what action you take?

if I post in a thread "X-actor did a very poor acting job in episode 20 of the x-actor show, he looked like totally lost and like a fool" and someone who is a "die hard fan of X-actor" reports me for flaming poor X-actor. what action you take?

9 out of 10 it seems, you delete post, and say it is a TOS violation

and if that person PMs you "nicely!!!" or asks at the mod forum "why is bad to do a honest criticism of the show?" that person will get another TOS for asking that

and no one (short of just giving low ratings) can do a honest criticism of a show(like "this show has weak acting, and the script is usually dumb" ), because if a fan reports it, you will give the critic a TOS

    see what is happening Danmod?

no one in here can do even a constructive criticism (not to mention an honest and without fowl language criticism)of any actor or show, only give low ratings or risk getting reports from members

This forum is giving us all a headache. If you guys want to blame me for the problems here, that's fine, it's dumb, but it's fine. First of all, I'm not a Moderator, I'm a Staff member. Second - I don't ban anyone without good reason. I don't ban people because their signature is too big and I don't ban people for simply insulting me or this site, although I'd prefer you PM me with your problems rather than post them in a forum because it's a classier thing to do. Anyone who has ever been banned from this site has been banned for good reason and given fair warning that the ban was coming - there have been no surprises. If everyone read the Terms of Service, like they should have when they signed up, they might not have been banned.

It seems to me, you've take this forum and used it to insult each other, make fun of other folk's taste in TV shows, etc., and that is against the rules. If you don't follow the rules, you get a violation - that's a warning. If you can't take the hint, why should the rest of us continue to put up with your nonsense? TV.com is supposed to be a place where people can get together to discuss their favorite shows, contribute information, and have a bit of fun. If you want to pick fights with people, do it somewhere else.

And if you're a banned user, don't email me saying your brother/sister/roommate/dog/whatever got a hold of your account and said those awful things and you're innocent. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that story I'd be a rich man. If you're giving out your password or allowing people to post using your account, you've got bigger problems than just being banned. Also - if you've got a bunch of TOS violations, and get banned, don't email me asking for another chance, don't tell me you promise to behave and you're really sorry and all that - I don't want to hear it, none of us do. Every TOS violation you received that DID NOT lead to a ban was warning enough. Again - if you can't take a hint, not our problem. I also don't want to hear anyone complaining that they were simply, "defending themselves." The rules state, very clearly, that abuse should be reported through the "Report Abuse" link. If you lash out in defense, you're going to get a TOS violation, it's as simple as that. A lot of the problems you may be experiencing could probably have been avoided by simply reading the Terms of Service. Come on guys, it's really not that long. Finally, any user who boldly states, "I don't care if you ban me", o, "Go ahead and ban me!" - to that I say, "Sure, no problem." Don't come back a day later asking me why you were banned.

If you have a problem with anything I've written here today, feel free to send me a PM. Since it seems that a lot of you can't behave in a mature way, we'll be keeping an eye on the forum. Fair warning has been given, and will continue to be given, to everyone. I suggest you pay attention.

So you're okay with him threatening us? The only person he's replied to so far is me, mostly because I'm being a jerk.

we have "the racco show", and than someone posts who is a fan of "the prince of the shadowlight kingdom"

"this show is super-retarded, the fans are dumb-$#$#$, and the actors don't have any talent whatsoever, they need to go to the streets and panhandle"

that I can understand and agree that they should get TOS

but another member says "the racco show is IN MY OPINION childish, but some fans enjoy that, and I respect that, even if I don't understand why. I think the actors should try to improve their skills, in order to improve their chances in their career"

basically same thing yet different and more constructive, and in this last case, i don't see why it should get a TOS, but if it gets reported, it will get TOS because someone considered flaming its fav show, and reported it

one time I got a TOS because I had a 400 by 200(per rulez!!) sig, and for some reason, even if it was 200, I got a "slight scroll bar" and got TOS for that (and I think it was by report, not because the mods found it)

I know you've said your having problems keeping up with the many responses you're geting. But then, how did you find time to change your avatar picture?

Truth be told, you could have also phrased things a bit nicer. then you wouldn't have so many people unhappy at you.

I've fought with people, yelled at him, basically mocked the mods, and I got ONE TOS. What's up w/ that? He seems to actually LIKE me!
