**Curls up in a ball and hides in the corner crying** NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ZUKO, HOW COULD YOU?!!?!? "AZULA ALWAYS LIES!!!!!!!"~REMEMBER?!

I think the Dai Lee threw him too hard and he got temporary amnisia!!! Yeah, that'd explain how he'd forget about how Azula wants him and his dear uncle (who's been with him all this time) DEAD...Or at least carted off to a dungeon somewhere!!! Jeez, remember when Azula had her first actual role, when she came to tell Zuko and Iroh that Ozai wanted them back?? Then they found out she was lying and fought?? THEN how she nearly killed Iroh?? THEN how she's the only reason he's running in the first place??

I don't see how ANYONE can forgive him!!!

I can see a scene in the fire palace:
Ozai: Very good Zuko. You have done well.
    Zuko: Thank you father.
Ozai: However, you show the ability to change sides when stressed. Not something you should continue with. For this, lock him up with the others!
    Azula: Bye-bye, Zuzu!

DOES HE ACTUALLY THINK THIS WILL CHANGE ANYTHING?!?!

It's not permanent, I assure you all. I know I've probably posted this one too many times on other threads, but here:

Exhibit A: In the Earth King, one of the dreams Zuko has is with him suddenly having the arrow-head thingy Aang has. In terms of storyline that HAS to count for something!
Exhibit B: Zuko showed clear remorse toward his betrayal at the end of the episode. OK so that was more specifically remorse toward betraying Iroh, but knowing Zuko, these petty emotions are baby-steps toward eventually turning good.
Exhibit C: Again, in Earth King, Iroh speaks of Zuko undergoing a metamorphosis. What if that metamorphosis isn't finished yet?
Exhibit D: Even if all this alone doesn't prove Zuko will change, I suspect another plot device is at hand. Judging from Azula's expression at the end, I'd say she'll lead Zuko on toward the Fire Nation, but then turn on him and ship him to the FN as a prisoner. Then either Ozai will sentence Zuko to some form of punishment, Zuko will gain some perspective into his father's nature via the prisoners, or Iroh will somehow die at Ozai's and/or Azula's hands (REALLY hope this doesn't happen, but it's worth mentioning) thus causing Zuko to hate his father and make up his mind once and for all to fight his father's tyranny.

Flame me, scream at me, call me a fangirl, I don't care. This is my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

You never know, since there's still at least one season left (I say at least because they never said they WOULDN'T have a Season 4). True, Katara officially hates his guts at this point, but with Aang being the forgiving young soul that he is, I think he'll happily accept Zuko when the time comes, which in turn means Katara will (albeit slowly) warm up to him.

    six words:

TRAITORS GET NO TRUST FROM ANYBODY!

Remember what happened to Benedict Arnold? Life of misery till he died? Sorry Zuzu but you blew it, just like he did!

Not flaming, blah, blah, blah...Just commenting:

    A) He also had a dream where he was sucked into a rug, and then that he was fire lord....They could've been just that-Dreams! Or they could be interpreted to mean anything.

    B) He obviously doesn't care that much if he did it in the first place!!!!! If he could throw away a whole season and half an episodes worth of maturing, then who knows what else he'll do?

    C) But what if it IS finished?? If it's not, then he's stuck on something....((I'm imagining it like the 5 steps of remorse, work with me)) Like maybe he got to one stage but woke up before he was fully metamorpha-blah-blah....((Long words....Blech!!! ))

    D) I heard rumors that Iroh WILL die... I'm praying to half a million different deities that he WON'T, but look what the writers did here....Maybe that'd be like a final straw for Zuko and he'll snap out of whatever he's in...

Yeah, and it had no plot momentum towards it either.???? I feel like Mike and Bryan just ripped off Star Wars.?? Except at least Anakin had an actual, real, motivation behind his evil choice-- his desire to protect his loved ones-- and only after the choice was made??did??his actions begin to??fuel his lust for power and control.?? Zuko... what's his excuse???? He has never seemed to lust for power, he knows that Azula lies, she tried to kill him...??Zuko felt really bad for Katara and was sweet to her and the tries to off her??? And also his uncle, mentor, and only true friend????? Way to go, Genius.?? I'm sure daddy will welcome you with open arms.????

Oh yeah, I'd want back a son who would quickly turn his back on the only person that stuck by him at the first sign of power...Even Ozai isn't THAT stupid....

YES, OMFG. Zuko you fool. -cries-

    BUT!11!1!one!

I do not think that zuko is completly finished. Azula is probably lying, and he knows that. He could just be trying to regain her trust and then take her out. xD

I swear, some of you people are as bad as the posters on the Lost forums.

As soon as a character makes a stupid mistake, or things don't go exactly as you want, you throw a fit and call him crude names. It's obvious this isn't a permanent change. Anyone who thinks that must have been temporarily blinded just as the last thirty seconds of the show were on the TV. He shows almost immediate remorse after the fight, there's no way it will be a permanent change.

This was awesome. Awesome. Awesome! It would've sucked if my prediction turned out right, and Zuko just gave up his lifelong dream and joined the Earth Kingdom right now. As in, really, really sucked. Honestly tell me that if they decided to use the best Zutara fanfic in the world, it would've come anywhere near as good as that episode did. The major gripe I had about this show was that it went too easy on the characters. I didn't see the difficult decisions, the pain and suffering that is why FMA is awesome (the best anime series ever, IMHO, but it's getting close). Well, now I do.

I love that script. Love it. WOOT. Just seemed a bit too easy there for Zuko after the during the Earth King and coming up to this finale. This was absolutely brilliant. This is the best episode of Avatar ever, and I don't see how it's close, at all. And Iroh being "Dragon of the West" saving Katara and Aang from the one person he loves the most. Wow. More Star Warsy than I thought it would've been. This makes me appreciate Empire Strikes Back even more than I did. I can see myself after watching ESB and going wow, that's the effect this had on me, except even more. And Azula's brilliant. She outfoxed Long Feng, took out the Earth King, had Aang and Katara completely beat, but Dragon of the West FTW. The Aang Gang's got it's work cut out for them.

Best episode of Avatar yet. For now, I thought FullMetal was a league better than Avatar, the creators are making me think otherwise right now. Season 3's wonderfully set up.

Zuko will be redeemed, his uncle will forgive him, but it's really not going to be easy. This is the first time he's made a personal, major mistake. And his uncle's not going to be easy on him for it.
Aang will need to become a Jedi. Not literally, figuratively. He needs to figure out the Avatar State while still being attached to Katara. Toph - "I rule." Couldn't have put it better myself. Metalbending FTW.
Iroh - Rules more than Toph. I can't put it better than that. Katara - Heh, very, very nice play on the Zutarians. Squishing their little dreams like a bug. Kataang seems very, very likely at this point. Katara still isn't challenged enough personally though, IMHO. Very nice moment with Aang though.
Sokka - Meh, his cycle is now complete. He'll be a nice sidekick, may have a toph relationship (see her hanging on to his arm when riding appa back to ba sing se). Hopefully they squeeze in a few good moments though.
