After giving the last episode some thought, I think I've found some evidence to support the whole Zuko is tricking Azula theory...

First of all, when he was going from the spiritual transition from the last episode he got very sick because of his whole idea of himself changed,he realized he was a better person and he moved on from capturing the Avatar if he joined with Azula without a plan he would have gotten very sick just like he did in the Earth King!!He is planning to take Azula down!!

Second of all, when he was fighting with Katara she asked him "I thought you changed" and he replied with "I did change", also I think he could have gone a lot harder on Katara he unleashed some very powerful bending before fighting her and as soon as they started he only used water whips unlike the fire punches or the missle thing

Last of all he might not have told Iroh about this because he said that he was his own man now and that he needed to follow his own destiny, so I think that he's planning it alone.

I hope I gave you guys some food for thought!!

Sorry, but I doubt Zuko is just acting. He really is allied with Azula right now. If he was just joining with her to complete a revenge plan he wouldn't of shown guilt about betraying Iroh. Zuko would feel guilt of course, but he would keep it hidden so Azula would think that he had unquestionable loyalty to her.

I think, due to the turn of events, that Zuko has been condemned. He has had a chance to be good, but he denied himself, and is now lost. I think this will lead to his immenent demise.
There was, I think, a myth-story that sound like what you said...
An angel was given the chance to go to earth to prove that humans were good and also that he was strong. He was faced with a number of challenges, all of which tested him greatly. One day, he met a disguissed demon, dressed like an old woman. The demon said that it would help the angel if the angel would help it. The angel, tired from the days work and not seeing through the mask, agreed to help the demon. The demon told the angel half-truths, making him believe what it wanted him to. Later, the angel has been freed of his burdens and relaxes. Then the demon comes to collect its prise. The demon shows itself first as the old woman, demanding fair repayment. When the angel agrees, the demon shows its true form and tells the angel his new job: To destroy only in it's name and never leave the earth. The angel couldn't say no, so he was trapped by the demon forever.

For everyone who thinks Zuko will make a come-back, I have two words for you: power corrupts. Have any of you looked at the sith lords from the Star Wars universe? Darth Vader ws the only one to redeem himself, and only because he watched his son suffer. Zuko made the some choice for the same reason: power (of the fire lord).

as much as i dont like zuko because of his betrayle (course didn't really like him before much anyways) but evilcheesel has a point this isn't the same, anything different from any other show can happen its not like every shows similarity leads to the same??thing??

LOL. Zuko didn't make this choice for power. He made it for acceptance. Zuko has major, major father issues. See: The Storm, Zuko Alone. Has nothing to do with power, he just wants his father to love and respect him like he loves and respects Azula.

Man!!! What an awesome episode!!!!!! Zuko had me upset for like twenty minutes after i had seen the episode and had resorted to the loving arms of Ben and Jerry. Maybe he is acting. Azula acted and manipulated Long Feng. How do we know that Zuko didnt do the same as Azula. She would expect him to feel remorse, so he did. If he did bury everything she would know he was lying.(i.e.- betraying iroh who spent years in a ship with him wouldnt bring remorse) She would immediatly know??he was lying.

Did that make sense? I feel it didnt. ??

Yeah, you could interpret it that way. Of course, I think you're going to miss out season 3, when Zuko decides what he did in the past ep was wrong.

That is not going to happen for a few episodes. They are not ending season 2 like this, only to have Zuko turn on Azula in the first episode of season 3. It is not going to happen until at least half way through season 3.

Until than, Zuko is going to question his decession, with Azula convencing him, what he did was right.

Of course it's not going to happen until at least halfway into season 3 (probably later). Did I imply that? Oh well.

My sentence still makes sense though. When season 3 rolls around, Zuko will eventually be redeemed, and those who believe the silly Zuko is playing Azula theory are missing out on a lot.

At first I thought Zuko's betrayal was a horrible plot twist, but now I think it will be interesting to see Zuko interact with his supposedly trusted sister and Ty Lee and especially Mai. Now we can really see inside his head. He was pretty upset about betraying his uncle. It won't be long until he turns his back on Azula.

Nooooo, he won't waste a trump card like that on his sister. Zuko's going to betray his father next. He'll kill him, take the throne and have Azula gently escorted out.

( Siege of the North)?? Shoot when i saw Zuko attack Aang i was like omg i can't believe he did it. Zuko is dumb. I hope Iroh joins up with the Gaang.
