The gist of my post above:
This was the best episode of Avatar for precisely the reasons you idiots are complaining about, despite some weird parallels with Star Wars.

Only person I feel sorry for is the shippers who wanted so desperately for Zuko to hook up with Katara.. I've always said that something somehow someway was gonna force Zuko into going back to the Fire Nation...and THIS is how...with Azula...Zuko hasn't forgotten how treacherous she is...how could he? remember when Iroh spoke to Zuko about not thinking plans through enough? consider his options...attack the Avatar and gain his sister's trust(or belief that she's fooled him yet again, through his naivete) or attack his sister and deal with not only her but the Dai Li...and be effectively trapped in Ba Sing Se, saving the city or not Zuko would be in a bad position...joining Azula would be the best option...could he really be so foolish enough to join with Azula thinking he'll get his father to respect him again? or could Zuko, after witnessing all the madness the war is causing, realize that to stop the suffering he'll have to have a coup of his own when he returns to the Fire Nation...same place Aang and his Squad will be going...just like I've always wanted...Zuko and Aang doing the same thing, but doing it seperately

Like other people have said, I have a feeling Zuko might be attempting to double-cross Azula. I mean, come on. Zuko wouldn't be stupid enough to actually trust Azula after all she's done to him and Iroh, right? At least, I hope he isn't...

As soon as a character makes a stupid mistake, or things don't go exactly as you want, you throw a fit and call him crude names. It's obvious this isn't a permanent change. Anyone who thinks that must have been temporarily blinded just as the last thirty seconds of the show were on the TV. He shows almost immediate remorse after the fight, there's no way it will be a permanent change.

I agree, everyone needs to chill. Instead of being mad at Zuko, give proops to Azula. Which I am more pissed about, I am sick of her winning. She better lose next season.

If I took it as personal and serious as some of you, than I can't watch one of my other favorite animated shows American Dragon: Jake Long, because the hero and Zuko are played by the same person. (also the hero's girlfriend and Katara are played by the same person)

look at it this way, Zuko is ether really dumb or really smart, if he's really smart he might try to take over the fire nation like Azula did with the earth kindom, from the inside out

Zuko trusts Azula. Azula knows him, Azula dangles that "father" carrot, and Zuko comes running. He trusts his father, it's his primary drive. Azula just attacks that weakness.

Zuko will be redeemed though, he will pick his uncle over his sister and father. It's going to be a tough road though.

This makes him so much more realistic. He's better as a character because of it, and when he comes out of this, he'll be better as a person because of it as well. Who cares what Katara thinks of Zuko? I'm interested with the dragon of the west, who can breathe fire thinks of Zuko.

Zuko's no mastermind here. Stop deluding yourself. He's human, he just made the biggest mistake of his life. He's not a bad person because of it (or at least not yet anyway), he just did something evil for something he really wanted, something he's strived for his whole life.

His comeback from this could be brilliantly done. I can't see how you interpret this the way some of you have.

It was totally sweet when Iroh could breathe fire. He sure deserves the title of Dragon of the West, that's for sure.

    Heres something:

Azula and the rest are facing off on the edge of a huge @$$ cliff that has a ravine under it. Everyone, even Iroh, who Zuko forgot to tell about??his plan, is fighting Azula, Zuko, Mai, and Ty Lee and are tied. Finally, we see Azula SNAP ((As in, complete and total breakdown)) for some reason and she's shooting fire and lightning everywhere and everyone, even her own 'friends', back away. Then she falls over the side of the cliff. ((Anti-climatcic on paper....Image in my head is cooler)) Someone ((Pick who)) runs over to the side of the cliff just in time to see her dissapear into the darkness below...

I think, due to the turn of events, that Zuko has been condemned. He has had a chance to be good, but he denied himself, and is now lost. I think this will lead to his immenent demise.

After giving the last episode some thought, I think I've found some evidence to support the whole Zuko is tricking Azula theory...

First of all, when he was??going from the spiritual transition??from??the last episode he got very sick because of his whole idea of himself changed,he realized he was a better??person and he??moved on from capturing the??Avatar if he joined with Azula without a plan he would have??gotten very sick just like he did in the Earth King!!He is planning to take Azula down!!

Second of all, when he was fighting with Katara she asked him "I thought you changed" and he replied with "I did change", also I think he could have gone a lot harder on Katara he unleashed some very powerful bending before fighting her and as soon as they started he only used water whips unlike the fire punches or the missle thing

Last of all he might not have told Iroh about this because he said that he was his own man now and that he needed to follow his own destiny, so I think that he's planning it alone.

I hope I gave you guys some food for thought!!

Did you not watch the final 5 minutes of Avatar?

    Zuko: "I betrayed my uncle."

It's called remorse. He's not completely lost yet, but he'll actually have to confront that giant demon in his life, his father.
