    Don't go there. :\

I don't Katara will trust Zuko fully for a while. Rather it will be one of those things that will happen when he proves himself. Say, for example, him saving her or Aang.

I think Zuko's scar probably can't be healed because Aang still has his scar, unless it is disappearing gradually, and then the Gaang would have to leave the fire nation and go all the way back to the spirit oasis to get more water.

IF Zuko was healed i dont think it'll be by water-bending. Like it has been stated- its a Scar and scar's are the result of healed tissue. Aang also still has his dispite numerous healings by Katara (was all Oasis water used with the first one on Appa?). If it happens i think it'll be during another Spirit-walk scenario like in the Guru. One of the reasons why Ursa should be dead is that Zuko will meet her there and be told by her how proud she is of him and she'll heal the scar, RATHER than her being Alive and wrecking ZUko's character developement for the last 5 or 6 years (he was 10 or 11 when she left i think).

As said already him saving one of them or one of those gradual things. Another scenario would be if his past revealed which would show the why behind some of his actions. Now a possible scenario is him bringing up bits of it when similar topic brought up but this wouldn't do it, what would bring it out be another confrontation with Azula who most likely use it in a way to taunt, mock, degrade him, but at same time it would enlighten the others.

Now I'm no supporter for either of the two big ships, but those love/hate relationships sometimes can develop. So Zutara is either sunk deeper beyond repair or closer then ever funny enough.

I continue to believe that Katara is the only one who can heal his scar, she gain a lot of skills during the season (PL) and with the full moon and her healing ability, she can do it. Otherwise, his scar wont be healed.

Ok, I am going to clear a couple things up here:

    1. In the cave, he techniacly didn't betray her. He didn't promise here anything if you look closely at the episode. He didn't say "I'm going to join your group when you heal my scar, and I will never attack you again."
    2. I don't unserstand why they didn't trust him, the only thing he has done is attack them. Besides he is nice to his prisoners.
    3. He was never EVIL, and no duh he is never going to betray them because he stood up to his father about it. Trust me, he's not going back.
    4. He lies to the bad guys, not the good guys.

Yeah, Zuko is awesome, he's my favorite character. Also, a lot of kiss scenes are when a person is trying to apologize to another person about something *hint hint*.

PS: I didn't read this entire thread so don't attack me for things that I may have reiterated.

there are so many things wrong with that. you should try looking at it from the gaang's point of view. would you trust someone that invaded your town and followed you around the world trying to capture the world's last hope for peace? would you think he was evil? of course you would. the gaang never knew about the conflict zuko's been through

My gosh. Did you pay attention to "Nightmares and Daydreams"? Aang said himself that they should treat everyone with like they are capable of great good and kindness. Also, remember when Toph said that they are just letting their hurt feelings get in the way of their judgement?

PS: What really annoyed me is when they said "Well you weren't there when he..." yadayadayada. That was Toph's point! They were only strengthening her arguement!

Since I have'nt answered your real question yet I will do so now. Yes, I would trust them if they never lied to me before (Zuko never lied to them). I also believe in forgiveness and second chances. Those are traits that Aang should've already developed since he is the Avatar.

well he kinda already got his second chance when aang saved him in "the blue spirit" and also in "seige of the north part 2". and look at katara's point of view in "crossroads". he DID talk about his mother and express strong emotion, but when the time came, he decided to attack aang and katara. why would you trust someone like that? just because they never lied to you isn't a good reason at all. there are people at my school that never lied to me before, but they're complete jerks. that's basically what zuko was to the gaang.
He never offered up his postition to their group in those episodes so your arguement is useless, I never said that he wasn't mean to them. I said he has never lied to them or has been dishonest to them except for maybe one time "techniacly."

you don't have to tell someone something directly to show them you mean something. you seem to lack the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes. zuko showed katara compassion, he told her about his mother, he let her touch his scar. it's just spewing with implications that he's changed for the better, and obviously, that's what katara thought too. it turns out, she was "tricked".

and i just said- you don't have to lie to someone to show them you can't be trusted. zuko tried to capture aang on countless accounts, and suddenly he wants to join them? why wouldn't they be reluctant to let him join? it could have all been another trap

Well you clearly don't know how to solve problems for other people. I'm just saying that they were contradicting themselves a lot.

    no, they really weren't

Not again... When Toph said that they were letting there hurt feelings get in the way of their better judgement, they just rambeled on saying "Well you weren't there when he..." That was exactly Toph's point, they were just making her arguement stronger. Also Aang said that they should treat anyone like they were capable of great good and kindness, but they still didn't let Zuko join at first. Obviously you don't know what contradicting means.

    Zuko: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Yeah, pretty much. Anyways I think there are three ways he could gain her trust:

    1. Not harm Aang or be in the wrong place at the wrong time for 5 episodes.

    2. He could save Aang's life or another person's life in the group.

    3. (This techniacly falls under the category of theory #2) He could save Katara's life.

What would really gain her trust is saving her life. Because without her in the way then Zuko wouldn't have to worry about "taking a step backwards" in Katara's point of view. So theory #3 is my best bet.

No, they will have a "romantic evening" and boom, dey gonna be parents.

that is def. the best thing that cud ever happen or maybe he'll tell them soon hez roku's descndent and then she might change her mind but saving her life is the most possible OMG wut if he saves her life but gets hurt in the process and then she has to heal him ????? oooo that wud b good

all of the spirit water was used for healing the wound. I'm sure if she got more spirit water she'd be able to heal the scar, which is slowly getting smaller anyways.

i already told you: zuko's gotten many second chances. aang's speech doesn't mean "lets give everyone an infinate amount of chances". duh

and for toph's thing, the gaang could have been trying to demonstrate why zuko can't be trusted. he followed them all over the world and destroyed towns just to capture aang even after they saved his life. twice. why should they logically trust him now? it could be another trap

Obviously you don't know what contradicting means.

i already told you: zuko's gotten many second chances. aang's speech doesn't mean "lets give everyone an infinate amount of chances". duh

and for toph's thing, the gaang could have been trying to demonstrate why zuko can't be trusted. he followed them all over the world and destroyed towns just to capture aang even after they saved his life. twice. why should they logically trust him now? it could be another trap

Because Aang knows that he was sincere and he made his final decision when Zuko told him about his destiny and the fact that he was sorry for what he did to Toph.
