this belongs in the ask a question thread..... but since both??of you must not pay any attention to the show at all...

    blue fire-

blue fire- it is??the much more??advansed, powerfull, and VERY hot??form of firebending. its got more UMPH in it which makes it hot enough to turn blue (it is NOT lightning)

    lightning bending-

lightning- it is very advansed and only very skilled benders can bend it. it is the art of bending actual LIGHTNING and is very much different from blue fire.

    or do they?

No, seriously they do. Any five year old who has seen their parent cooking on the stove knows that blue fire exists.

Um... yes it does. When fire gets hot, it turns different colors, like blue. It just shows that Azula??can make her fire really hot. Like, super hot. It is not suppose to be thunder, because thunder is a sound.

"Power in Firebending comes from the breathe, not the muscles. The breathe becomes energy in the body. The energy extends past your limbs and becomes fire."

that's straight from the show...so obviously according to that Azula has mastered her breathing, if you notice has Azula EVER appeared breathless in a fight? hell we just recently saw the girl sweat(so she is human after all)... Azula has the conditioning of a soccer playing decathelon winning??coal miner...completely in control of her breathing and gets the most energy possible...and her natural skill allows her to control that blue fire with efficiency

coal miner? I never thought of a coal miner of being able to breath well... in fact, just the opposite. Don't coal miners die of Black Lung alot?

Yeah.?? All of the soot they kicked up would coat their lungs, and they would slowly suffocate.?? They also ran the risk of gas leak or cave-ins.?? I guess they also had to worry about hitting a methane pocket and then accidently causing a spark with their picks hitting stone.

well I ran outta things to say that involed massive stamina and conditioning after decathelon winning...so I threw coal mining cuz I know that after a couple months of doing that you come out chisled(and they're starting to use more protective masks now to stop black lung disease)

The color of stars too classify how extreme their temperature is.?? Red stars produce the least heat (less compared to other stars but it's still unsurvivable to go near one) and blue/bluish-white stars are said to be the hottest.?? This must go along well with how Azula's supposed to be a firebending prodigy.?? In the Japanese cartoon Flame of Recca, the protagonist's half brother also wields blue flame.

I don't see any evidence in the show that blue fire is better then red, just more flashy that all. Azula should be able to melt anything with that flame, remember when the kyoshi warriors put up their shields against azula, a red flame I would except to just bounce off, but a blue flame should have melted their shield right off, I was not pleased.

And now for the technical. Considering her character (relationship to Zuko, Ozai etc), the creators felt they needed something to make her stand out from basically all the other 1,000+ firebenders (not exaggerating there) we've seen on the show. Aside from you'know, having a vagina (cartoon-wise anyway). And there you have it, blue fire. ..Yeah.
