Well, as Uncle Iroh so greatly put,
SHE IS CRAZY AND NEEDS TO GO DOWN!

I mean, c'mon. She shoots her uncle with a fire blast, tried to kill Zuko with lightning, and talked about the death of her grandpa like it was a good thing.
She needs a taste of humility, but I doubt she's gonna change. I don't think she's gonna visually "die". Probably something similar to what happened to Zhao.

Fans of Naruto remember a guy named Gaara. Remember how he liked to make people explode. Well if you follow japanese manga he's not so bad any more.

    Maybe Azula is "Gaara."

I can not see Azula ever helping out Team Avatar. I think she'd rather kill herself.

Mai and Ty Lee, however, are a different story.

If they reform azula I will be amazed, it would be great!

If they kill azula off like the last stereotypical villain, it will be ok, not great, but ok. The unexpected plot twist that is done well is one of the greatest joys of story telling.

I REALLY, REALLY doubt it. Gaara had a troubled past and was mentally unwell.?? Azula has no personal tragedy; she's just evil.

I agree, and I forsee Azula succeeding her father as the main antagonist post season 3, assuming she lives that long.

I remember I DB/Z/GT it was a common theme to transmute evil enemies into good guys, allies, and friends of the main characters. I found that far more rewarding then just defeating them, it required a lot more work in plot structure and depth to convert characters then just to simply and unoriginally defeat them. I won???t be unhappy if they kill off azula, but I will be unimpressed.

Azula is a perfectionist through and through. To her she has no equal even the Avatar. Especially not her big brother. She pushes herself to be perfect "Almost isn't good enough." But, she's arrogant too. If someone even appears to out do her she finds someway to take a moral victory over them i.e: Knocking down Ty Lee for being more agile and laughing at her for it, pretending to surrender when she was cornered then attacking(her eye twitched which could mean she's psychotic too). Azula's desire to be the best is futher proven cuz she uses blue flames probably cuz she thinks that means she's the strongest, not to mention her lightning ability(though this she hasn't mastered, Iroh's lightning was much much larger then her own). All that said, I think her arrogance and drive to be perfect will be her undoing. Iroh taught Zuko that he can redirect lightning, something Azula doesn't even know of. Sounds like a perfect poetic justice for her own power being thrown right back at her. Would having her brother turn her attack against her(if it doesn't killer her that is) put her on the path to being good? Beats me...

hmmmm.. three old cliches come to mind about now: (1) What comes around, goes around (2) Like father, like son (but substitue the word daughter) (3) He who lives by the sword, will die by the sword. speculation: If Ozai did indeed "do" his father in, would it not seem befitting that Azula would do the same. Hence leading to the final fire nation showdown between Azula and Aang. My theory has always been that Aang will weaken but not kill Ozai during the eclipse. Ozai will turn to his daughter in his time of need and she will say he is showing weakness and BAM! Then the comet comes and Azula thinks she will become all powerful. And although at the time of the comet the Fire Nation is at its strongest UNFORTUNATELY Azula does not have the maturity that will enable her to fully harness the power of the comet like her father would have. BUT she will still be a formidable foe for Aang and she will attempt to reign over the firenation and keep them at war. BUT Zuko will want to fulfill HIS destiny and claim the throne for himself; therefore, he will help the Avatar in his destiny to infiltrate the firenation and bring balance to the world. ---end of theory---

The way I see it the only way it could actually happen if azula is actually defeated and mean really defeated by someone i.e. badly beaten or in a better sense defeat her at her strongest point. Like if zuko turns azula's own lightening against her. Overall I think that one of the main reasons azula is the way she is, is because her mother never loved her the way she did zuko. Sure azula had her father, but was that really love or just her father using azula for his own personal gain? maybe azula's attitude towards becoming a perfectionist was all a ploy to impress her mother?

Maybe It'll come down to something like this:

Azula and Zuko end up together having a one on one duel. Perferably in the rain. Azula throws her lightning at zuko and zuko ends up redirecting it at azula. Azula is totally shocked by this and has sustained massive injuries. Zuko is not willing to kill her off so he takes her to a cave or somewhere dry and tend to her wounds. Azula will start to cry and shout something like "why did mom love you so much, what did she ever never love me! I was the better. I was better at..... Why? Tell me Why!?" Eventually this will be one of the first steps for azula's road towards helping aang or atleast helping her brother or even less specific: her road towards being good.

I like that scenario, but from what we've seen, I dont think azula is capable of not being a lil evil witch for the rest of her life, she has no character (except that shes characterizes evil) or sense of honor like zuko

I lot of people keep on saying things like, 'They won't kill Azula, this is a kiddy Nick show". But have you forgotten that they have already killed multiple characters? There was the Warden who couldn't swim and was thrown overboard in the middle of the ocean, for one,??and there was of course Zhao. And it's not just villains who have suffered. They've also killed off Yue... sort of (technically it was the original moon spirit that died). And deaths have been mentioned multiple times as well.

If they do kill off Azula, the actual moment of the death will probably not be shown though, like with Zhao.

I have an interesting theory about Azula, and I wasn't sure whether to just post it here or make a new thread. Anyways, my theory involves those two hags that were teaching Azula. Something about the creepy way they talked in unison once and the way they seemed to appear from nowhere in a certain scene on the boat gave me a crazy idea.

What if those old crones are not normal people, but some sort of spirits that only Azula can see?

My idea is that for some reason, Azula has been able to see and communicate with them since she was born. And these spirits are both very knowledgeable when it comes to Fire Bending... and completely and utterly evil.

Why is everyone saying that Jet is going to die in the next episode? Are you guys talking about the preview on TurboNick? He doesn't die there... Katara doesn't kill him with her ice, she just pins him to the wall.
Unless I'm missing something. Is there another preview that shows Jet die or something?

You can see the whole episode on Nick. Check the Lake Loagi discussion thing for the link.

Also, what if the Dia-Lee some how capture Azula and brainwash her? They could erase all her evilness. An interesting option to say the least.
