Lets be honest here: Avatar was an extremely beyond-epic show. Each episode had some action, love, or just life lessons. Since Avatar was a very popular show, it must have made an impact on viewers. So I ask you, how was YOUR life changed or effected by Avatar: The Last Airbender?

For me, it would have to be the AN's/Aang's philsophy of forgiving. Before this show, my friends and I would hold grudges against eachother. Now, after seeing the impact of forgiveness, I am I the first one to apoligize if my friends and I are in a fight, or I will forgive a friend if they have wronged me. Life moves on and Avatar made me see that.

Avatar made me respect American cartoons a bit more. Before Avatar I usually just watched Japanese anime.

Since I am older and (most likely) firmer in my beliefs than most of you, I cannot say Avatar had any profound impact on my beliefs or outlook on life. I will say, however, that I enjoyed the way Avatar portrayed everyone as separate, but bound together as one human race. That is an idea that should be disseminated more frequently.

I agree, but Avatar never effected your life at all?

No, it did not. I suppose it affects my emotions when I watch it, but it did not affect my beliefs or anything of that nature. I could see how it would for younger people or even teenagers, but it did not for me.

Well, that makes sense. At my age, I'm constantly changing. Shows such as this can have major impacts on people like me.

Avatar is an extremely entertaining show, but it hasn't really had an effect on my life or changed any of my outlook on life.

Do you mean aside from the fact that we now don't have lives?

It didn't change me damatically...but it did a little. Being a teenager, and having to put up with parents, i was often not in a good mood. For some reason, watching avatar helped. It gave me a more positive outlook on life. There are certain quotes from the show that i live by now.
"No matter how things may seem to change, never forget who you are"
    and
"Never give up without a fight"

I don't know why these quotes had such an impact on me, but they did.

Alright, time to get more into it

As Jackson pointed out earlier, at my age we're constantly changing. However, Avatar has stopped that changing right in its tracks.

I've learned to grow up, accept responsibility, and stop dwelling on things I can't control.

I've learned that everyone deserves a chance.

I've learned that you should sympathize, not hate.

I've learned that nature is something to be cherished, and not cast aside.

I've learned so many things. It's really changed my for the better.

Basically, I'm not a brat anymore.

I learned how americans can take a great idea and screw it up. They could have changed some things and made it ten times better.

^Agreed. Avatar also changed my life by bringing me to this forum and the refuge, where I met a lot of very awesome people who all have something in common: a love of Avatar.

@ Isabel: Thats a good list. I defiently agree with everyone deserves a chance.

Oh? Please explain, I'm very interested on what you felt could be improved.
